And this is why Creed, the second book in the Unfinished Hero series, might just be my favorite Kristen Ashley story, ever! Amazing, solid, sexy, romantic, poignant, heartbreaking, uplifting… Creed is all those things and so much more, and precisely the reason Kristen Ashley is quickly becoming the Queen Diva of Storytelling, regardless of the genre she writes!C - Complex

“I’m not what you want, Sylvie, I get that because its the same for you as it is for me. I’m not what you want ’cause I’m what you need.”
“I loved the man under me in a way that wasn’t just mean to be. It wasn’t a way we were born to be. It was in a way that needed to be.”
“For over twenty-seven years, every day, every minute, every second, I’ve loved you, Tucker Creed.”
“You need me. You won’t stay away and you won’t let me go because, baby, you can’t breathe without me.”
“You’re my world, Sylvie. Always have been. Always will be.”
“Born to love you, baby… Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie.”
His Sylvie.
His dreamweaver, able to weave dreams doing nothing but sitting on a pier and smiling.
The way it always was.
The way it always would be.
"...you always got something if you're not alone. We were alone. Now, we're not alone."
"You need me. You wont' stay away and you won't let me go because, baby, you can't breathe without me."
"Born to love you, baby," he repeated. "Die lovin' you, my Sylvie."
"Some people get to live life. Some people survive it. We're survivors. We can carve out our pieces of happy, and, I swear to God, baby, right now, you got my vow, for you and for me, the rest of our lives, I'll bust my ass to carve our piece of happy."
“Born to love you, baby,” he repeated. “Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie.”
“It’s always you and me.”
I nodded again and felt my lips quivering.
He kept whispering, “Always me and my Sylvie, yeah?”
“Yeah,” I whispered.”
“He crossed his arms again and requested, “You wanna stop aiming your weapon at me?”
Actually, no. I didn’t. I wanted to keep aiming my gun at him and I might also want to pull the trigger.”
“Some people get to live life. Some people survive it. We’re survivors. We can carve out our piece of happy, and, I swear to God, baby, right now, you got my vow, for you and for me, the rest of our lives, I’ll bust my ass to carve our piece of happy.”
“Then and now, beautiful, I’ll take you any way you come to me … Any way. I love this Sylvie, I loved that Sylvie. I just love you, baby.”
“I’m not what you want, Sylvie, I get that because it’s the same for you as it is for me. I’m not what you want ’cause I’m what you need.”
“Come back to me,” I begged, the tear slipping over my eye and gliding down my cheek.” - Sylvie (waiting for Tucker at their pier)
“We've been through a lot and you've earned a piece of my heart, babe. It’s all yours and always will be.”- Knight to Sylvie”
“Sylvie,” he called and I whirled and snapped, “What?” “Bottom of my soul,” he whispered across the room, eyes locked to mine. I sucked in breath through my nose before I whispered back, “Bottom of mine."- Knight to Sylvie””
“Born to love you, baby,” he repeated. “Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie””
“You love me?” he asked quietly. I dipped my face close and answered quietly, “On a cold night, a long time ago, you put your hands almost exactly where they are right now and, I might have been six years old, but I fell hard. So, yeah. For over twenty-seven years, every day, every minute, every second, I’ve loved you, Tucker Creed.”

When Sylvie Bissenette was six and and Tucker Creed was eleven they realised they had something in common, both of them come from broken homes. For eleven years the bond they had blossomed and grew into something so powerful, it was their saving grace, and they were determined to escape their awful homes as soon as Sylvie was old enough. But when the day came, Creed disappeared and Sylvie was forced to live a nightmare.
Now it’s sixteen years later, and the Sylvie Creed knew is gone, entombed behind a shell so hard, no one can break through. But nothing will stop Creed from getting back Sylvie, his Sylvie that he thought was lost to him forever.
Tucker Creed. My first love, my protector, my savior.
My betrayer.
I really liked Sylvie. After what happened to her, she decided to protect women who were in the same position as she had been, and I respect the hell out of her for that. She’s tough and loyal, and so protective of the few people she cares about.
“I’m not what you want, Sylvie, I get that because it’s the same for you as it is for me. I’m not what you want ‘cause I’m what you need.”
I did like Creed and how much he loved Sylvie. He was also a great dad to his kids.
“Born to love you, baby,” he repeated. “Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie.”
I have to be honest, I didn’t expect to like the romance. Second-chance romances rarely work for me, but in this book the reason why they were apart was heartbreaking. Because of evil men and a love that would do anything to protect, Sylvie and Creed spent sixteen years apart, surviving and not really living. Their past was sad but also beautiful. I liked how KA slowly revealed it to us, how much they loved each other and how much it broke them to lose it. The sexy times were very hot and I did love that these two finally got the future they planned so many years ago.
“Got a lot to be thankful for,” he told his window, his words confusing me. “A good woman, beautiful daughter, work I believe in, money, men around me I trust.” He turned back to me. “Still, you left, that hole will not be filled. Not ever.”
My favorite part of this book was Knight, he was fantastic! I liked him in his book, but here I LOVED him!!
I’m not a fan of second chance romances. It’s very rare that I will love one. And although I didn’t love this book, I did still enjoy it. But I am tired of second-chance romances where the hero married someone else during the separation from the heroine, had kids, got divorced while the heroine just survives. And I really wished this one had been different. Still, this is KA and I love her books. No other author makes me feel so many emotions while reading a book, and I love that. A must read for all Kristen Ashley (KA) fans.
*Me...THUD*
"You know, the rulebook states anything agreed through sexual manipulation is thrown out after the act." "Yeah, if you're makin' love with a normal guy. If you're doin' it with a badass, it's a totally different rulebook." I had to admit, this was true.
"My Sylvie, the dreamweaver, makin' dreams come true."
"You gonna make me have a spontaneous orgasm at the front door or are you gonna let me get lost in Phoenix?"
"I'll never let you go but I'll let you leave...for now."
"You're my world, Sylvie. Always have been. Always will be."
I looked to cargo pants, boots, skintight Under Armour wearing, dark haired, itense black eyed, hot guy commando Hawk Delgado, got a load of his two phenomenal dimples...
*Me...FUCKING HELL I LOVE HAWK!!!*
"Bottom of my soul!" "Bottom of mine."....
Me...*tears*
"...Nothing latches onto one of my breasts except your lips." "Now she's making me hard while I'm breaking and entering," Creed griped.
Epilogue, as always is a killer! Loved how it ended where their love began.
