Behcet Kaya is the author of eight novels. His first literary fiction novel, Voice of Conscience, follows, to some extent, his own life experiences. His second novel, Murder on the Naval Base is a fast-paced who-done-it, his recently published third novel, Road to Siran, Erin’s Story is the eagerly awaited sequel to Voice of Conscience and the fourth Treacherous Estate is a crime thriller and the fifth Body in the Woods, Appellant Judge. Murder in Buckhead, Uncanny Alliance. The next novel titled "Deception" coming in 2024

Born in northeastern Turkey, Behcet grew up in a very small village with long held traditions. His rebellious nature emerged at an early age and by time he was ten, he had read, in secret, all the Turkish translated stories of Mike Hammer. In addition, he read several of Dale Carnage’s works, and all of Yashar Kemal’s novels. His world burst out beyond that of his small village and he yearned for a more western way of life.

Defying his father, Behcet left home at fourteen and travelled first to Istanbul and then on to London. His obsession was to complete his high school education and then a college degree in engineering. He supported himself by working full-time and earning scholarships from Inner London Education Authority. His creative side began emerging when his drama and literature teacher cast him in a play in which his performance awed the audience. His insatiable appetite for literature widened to include the classics of Dickens, D.H. Laurence, and the Russian masters.

While at Hatfield Polytechnic, Behcet made his first visit to the US as an exchange student with the British Universities North American Club. He made the move to the US in 1976 and became a US citizen in 1985. While living in Atlanta, Georgia he followed his creative yearnings and attended the Alliance Theatre School and studied at the SAG Conservatory of Georgia, which earned him his Screen Actors Guild card. In 1994, Kaya and his wife moved to Los Angeles, where he continued his studies at the Roby Theatre Company and the Shakespeare, A Noise Within, Theatre Workshop.

In the soon to be released movie, “Being American” starring Lorenzo Lamas, Behcet plays the part of a Turkish Defense Minister.

Along with acting, writing became a natural outlet. In addition to his three novels, Voice of Conscience, Murder on the Naval Base, and Road to Siran, Erin’s Story, Treacherous Estate, Body in the Woods, appellate Judge and Murder in Buckhead will be published in 2022. Behcet has published numerous short stories and is currently working on his fourth novel, Body in the Woods.
Behcet Kaya received a BA degree in Political Science from California state university channel Island, 2017

I just finished reading Uncanny Alliance by Behcet Kaya, and it was pretty good. The story begins with a murder at Kingsley University. Professor Pachua Zambear is dead and his wife, Stella, gets arrested. Naturally, her dad wants to clear her name, so he calls in Jack Ludefance. This is our protagonist who is a private investigator with a knack for solving tricky cases.
Once the investigation gets underway Jack realizes this isn't an average murder case. There’s a whole mess involving cryptocurrency. That’s where Rudy Orkut, Jack’s tech-whiz buddy, comes in. Rudy’s hacking skills turn out to be crucial as they uncover some shady dealings. This mix of classic detective work and modern tech issues makes the story feel fresh and relevant.
One thing I liked about Kaya’s writing is how he keeps things moving at a constant, but not too fast pace. The chapters are short and to the point which keeps the suspense high. Jack’s inner monologues are pretty insightful, letting us see his thought process as he pieces the puzzle together.
The characters are another good point. Each suspect has their own backstory and motives, which keeps you guessing. Jack’s interactions with these characters are filled with tension and intrigue, making you question who you can trust.
Uncanny Alliance is a solid detective novel. It has old-school elements as well as current tech trends. If you’re into detective stories and enjoy a bit of modern flair, I’d suggest this as a book worth checking out. Kaya’s storytelling kept me hooked from start to finish.

An installment in the Jack Ludefance PI series, Uncanny Alliance, unfolds in the prestigious academic halls of Kingsley University – a murder mystery with each twist raising the stake, crafting a maze of intrigue where truth becomes ever more elusive.

A shocking murder has devastated the sacred walls of Kingsley University. A student discovers the body of controversial Professor Zambear in a distressing state, and lo and behold, the likely perpetrator is his wife, Stella Zambear. James Kingsley calls on the savvy private investigator Jack Ludefance to clear his daughter's name in the murder. In light of Stella's disclosure of her chaotic marriage and the darker aspects of their relationship, complexities lure Jack into a web of suspicion. Yet, little does he know the extent of deception and intrigue that await him as he lunges further into the case...

As Jack delves deeper into the investigation, he unravels the growing mystery of Professor Zambear's contentious cryptocurrency involvements. To add to the chaos, there is another murder right on the college grounds. Khole Rivers, extensively involved in the realm of cryptocurrency and likely holding crucial clues in the case, is found murdered on university premises. River's extensive knowledge of Zambear's covert crypto dealings, coupled with his implication of Zambear in a theft scheme, hints at the tragic circumstances that led to his untimely demise. With this grim speculation, it is clear that a treacherous environment fraught with peril confronts Jack in his pursuit of truth and justice.

Jack soon uncovers additional suspects, each harboring their motives and secrets. Zoey Harrington, a university police officer present on the night of Zambear's murder, enters the fray with a composed demeanor that masks a past clouded by aliases and mysterious behavior. Zoey's connection with Aaliyah Konuku, a key figure intertwined with Zambear in the past, offers a potential breakthrough in unraveling the mystery. However, Aaliyah's disappearance suggests a deliberate absence, adding another layer of intrigue to the puzzle. Another suspect emerges with Professor Maria Cornell, a complex character with a military background and suspected ties to criminal activity. Despite Zambear and Cornell's professional façade, their history reveals a turbulent relationship beneath the surface.

With each step Jack takes to unravel riddles at Kingsley University, he gets closer to the threat lurking in the shadows, apparent when a Russian assassin attempts to silence him and prevent further investigation. Jack and his right-hand man, Rudy, engage in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. Jack must tread carefully, as the truth may prove more elusive and dangerous than anticipated.

A contrast between appearance and truth emerges throughout Uncanny Alliance. The site of the murders, Kinglsey University, exemplifies this dichotomy since it provides the illusion of intellectual distinction while concealing scandalous truths. Also, as the murder investigation progresses, Zambear, who was formerly seen as a respectful professor, emerges as a dark character involved in illicit crypto transactions and shady relationships with students. The same is true for his wife Stella, who initially appears to be a grieving widow before later revealing herself to have had a stormy marital life, implying that her external demeanor may conceal her inner thoughts. This appearance vs. reality theme repeats throughout the story, as the suspects often show themselves one way while camouflaging their true sentiments. The theme depicts complicated human conduct in a world where outer appearances can conceal deeper truths and actual intents.

The author uses rich images and evocative language to create a dramatic atmosphere, transporting readers from the hidden and distinguished walls of Kingsley University to the remote landscapes of Alabama. With twisted and surprising twists, the dense web of characters and plot may compel readers to engage thoroughly with the thriller. Also, some narrative sections may linger, allowing readers to take up the atmosphere and nuances. Readers of the Jack Ludefance PI series will also enjoy the presence of familiar individuals, which ensures comfortable familiarity in the unfolding narrative.

Quill says: Uncanny Alliance tracks PI Jack Ludefance as he navigates the murky depths of cryptocurrency underground and unravels the thread of a chilling murder mystery.

Florida author Behçet Kaya is also known by his stage name as an actor Ben Kaya (`Fast Food', `The Practice', `Being American' on film and numerous roles on the legitimate stages such as The Noise Within). Of note, his background of having been born and raised in a small village in Turkey, secretly consuming the exemplary works of the Turkish writer of Kurdish origin Yaşar Kemal, his subsequent rebellious flight to Istanbul and London, compelled and succeeding to earn a degree in engineering, his successful introduction to the stage while attending the inner London Education Authority and his subsequent move to the United States where he gained citizenship and worked successfully to achieve his Screen Actors Guild card after studies in Georgia, and then moving to Los Angeles to embrace both his acting ambitions and writing skills - all of this is the progress of a man committed to his art - and it shows.

Having developed a primary character with the strength and credibility of Jack Ludefance PI in the first four novel of this series, it is not surprising that this fifth episode is a polished, involving mystery experience for the reader. Not only is Ludefance’s skill as refreshing as ever, but in this novel, set in a University town, the author explores family puzzles around a bizarre asphyxiation murder that extends the author’s insights into sociological matters as well. Said before, and say again, Behçet Kaya's style of writing captures the essence of ‘mysteries,’ giving the reader a sense of place and tenor like few other writers are capable of achieving. He is obviously one of our more important writers of the times and his niche in literature is secure. Highly recommended on every level.

An Uncanny Alliance is the fith book in the Jack Ludafin novels by Bachet Kaya this time Jack gets pulled in to a murder of a history professor who was a well-known womanizer with his wife being the main suspect. On a campus where they claim security was tight it seems someone got in in the middle of the night and they were a murderer but with Jack starts his investigation it isn’t long before another dead body literally pops up and when it does it may just have the clue that leads to the killer. I love these books I love Jack his sidekick Rudy and when reading it I can always picture it and movie form. The narrative is fast paced and I can honestly say I have never read this book in new what twist were coming they’re always surprising and it is always a good read. I don’t think I have ever given this author less than four stars and I am definitely not doing that in this case an awesome read by an awesome author. I have laid my hands on a perfect "suspense-packed read" after being recommended by a friend, and I have thanked him for this perfect company.

The story starts when the body of Pachua Zambear, an endearing, well-liked, and promiscuous professor, is discovered on a sofa in his campus office at a small institution in Alabama. The situation becomes more interesting with his wife's DNA and a single hair from an unknown source found around his awkwardly placed body. Furthermore, by subploting his extramarital affairs with female students, faculty members, and any other woman, he could seduce a serious woman with his lies. There are many suspects, and many had motives for this, but getting a hold of the convict was a big drama with many other twists and turns. The scaffolding of the details will get you engrossed in this nail-biting "what next" read.

Overall, the book is interestingly written. The author has maintained a grip on the reader with a seamless arrangement of varied plots. The characters are well written and placed in the story. Right from the start, you would get to know many "plausible" convicts. But, just when you feel you are moving to the right convict, an intriguing situation would introduce some more plots. I enjoyed the author's work and am planning to get more of it.

The next in the series of Private investigator, Jack Ludefance.
Jack Ludefance has been asked to investigate a murder at Kingsley University, a small elite university.
One of the professors, Pachua Zambear, has been found deceased in his office in a very compromising position.
His wife, Stella Kingsley Zambear has been arrested for the crime.
Her father, Mr James Kingsley and head of the university, calls in Jack to find the killer.
What looks like a case of murder soon gets much more complex.
So Jack brings in his computer hacker and starts to really dig in to what becomes an investigation into bitcoin investing and stolen bitcoin as well as another thread to murder as well.
The characters and details make the story real and the attention to detail as a detective is quite interesting.
Little by little Jack starts to unravel the confusing pieces of information and other pieces of this complex case. The story moves along well and confronts a few issues of bad behavior that are somehow acceptable to the characters in the story, even though they should be condemned.
Another great read in the Jack Ludefance series!

What do Sam Adams beers, alligator bites, and private investigative work have in common? Jack Ludefance, a private eye with an uncanny ability to uncover the truth. Thus, when a college professor ends up murdered under mysterious circumstances, Jack is called in by the suspect’s family in “Uncanny Alliance: A Jack Ludefance Novel” by Behcet Kaya.

Whenever a murder occurs, it is common for the spouse to be the first suspect. As such, it is no surprise when Professor Zambear’s wife is taken into custody. Her fluids were found on him, and she was admittedly the last to see him alive. More perplexing than the nature of this crime though, is the setting in which it occurs. On a locked campus, with twenty-four-hour security and a location many are unaware of, the murderer has to be someone familiar, there’s no way the killer could have gotten in otherwise. But what seems to be an open and shut case becomes ever more twisted as Jack Ludefance enters the scene. Finding tampered perimeter wire and drone footage that unearths another dead body, this time in a dried-up lakebed, this investigation suddenly ratcheted up a notch.

Cryptocurrency, Russia, multiple states, and deception muddy the investigation further as Ludefance is determined to find the real killer. Tracking the day’s success or difficulty by the number of Sam Adams drunk by our P.I., author Behcet Kaya crafts an intriguing technological thriller. And, despite being the fifth in Jack’s series, this reads seamlessly as a standalone.

Kaya gives readers a charismatic, attractive, and sleazy dead man, pointing to one likely suspect until Jack begins to pry. The characters eat at you as you work to put the puzzle together, from California to Florida, Alabama and back, each has an important piece to play.

Injecting a bit of romance, a dash of sympathy, and a whole lot of mystery and crime, “Uncanny Alliance” is a fast-paced, tech-laced, masterpiece in Behcet Kaya’s arsenal. Jack Ludefance may have wrestled alligators, but he makes for a surprisingly relatable private investigator with a knack for tracking down the criminals. I can’t wait to see where Kaya takes Jack’s talents next. Wherever it may be, I hope they serve Sam Adams on tap.

This book titled Uncanny Alliance is a masterfully written book, built on the Jack Ludefance PI series. This is my first of the series, but could not have been more engaging. I have laid my hands on Behcet's work for the first time, and I am amazed, gripped, and hooked till the end in the world created by her. The author has provided the readers with essential details to move with the story. You might not need to have a reference to its previous parts for this read, but it is always good to get a good book.

The story includes Jack, who gets called in to look into the murder of Professor Zambear, who, much to his wife's dismay, enjoys having his eager female students. To liberate Stella, Jack must track down the murderer after being accused of her husband's death. The story is intricately woven around a set of interrelated characters whose fates will keep them close. The characters are well written and close to reality.

This book can be definitely enjoyed because of its thrilling and engaging plot, with a blend of twists and turns and nail-biting experience. Grab your copy and enjoy your read.

The charming, popular, and promiscuous professor, Pachua Zambear’s body was found on a sofa in his campus office at a small, upscale Alabama university. His body was found in an embarrassing position with his wife, Stella’s DNA and a lone hair from another source. It was no secret their marriage was on shaky grounds because of the professor’s promiscuity with female students, female faculty members and any other woman he could charm. Because of her DNA and a strong motive, Stella was arrested when all the evidence seemed to point to her.
Convinced that his daughter was innocent, wealthy James Kingsley, called P.I. Jack Ludefance, offering him as much money as he wanted if he would take Stella’s case.
With the constant help of his tech whiz, Rudy’s artful hacking skills, Jack followed clues all the way to Bakersfield, CA and Los Angeles before returning to Alabama.
Just when you thought you had figured out who-done-it, the story took several twists and turns, leaving you totally unable to predict the ending.
Great read!

Uncanny Alliance is a well-written novel that builds upon the Jack Ludefance PI series. Each novel Behcet Kaya adds to the series becomes my favorite. Jack is called to investigate the murder of Professor Zambear, who enjoys his willing female students, much to the dismay of his wife. When charged with her husband’s murder, Jack needs to find the killer to set Stella free. He calls Rudy in for his expertise as a computer technician, but we all know he is a hacker. Jack uncovers more than just a murder and puts himself and Rudy in danger.

You don’t have to read the other novels in the Jack Ludefance PI series to enjoy Uncanny Alliance. Behcet Kaya gives key facts so you understand the foundation of the series. The author skillfully keeps you mesmerized. I read this book in one day, anxious to read with every spare minute available to me. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series, Deception. I’m eager to see where Jack will lead us next and what new changes in his life.

A popular professor at a small private university in Alabama is found murdered. The wife is arrested. Jack Ludefance is hired by the wife's father to find evidence to clear his daughter. Jack and his hacker assistant, Rudy, follow the clues to investigate.
At times funny, it also gets into the dangers of investing in unproven currencies, as well as jealousy and revenge.
Overall a good read, but I could do with a bit less of the gratuitous sex.

This book delves into cryptocurrency scams. A respectable university professor justifies stealing in order to help Amazonian people whose lands are being deforested by the Brazilian government. One can't steal to justify doing good. Even the book of faith states: 'thou shall not steal.' However, according to a British standup comic, nowhere does it say, 'thou shall not swap.' The esteemed professor hides behind the credibility of his standing in the academic world to justify stealing, including stealing from the Russian mafia. Ultimately he is found dead. But at the hands of the mafia? Or........???
