Nora, the eldest of four sisters whom we met in A Virgin for the Highland Beast, has pursued her dream to be a healer. She, her horse and cart, and a dog named Jamie, travel to various villages tending to those in need. One day while she and a villager are out in the woods collecting plants to replenish her stock, she is kidnapped by the intimidating and dangerous Laird Leo Buckhan, aka the Wolf of the Highlands. His son Archie is ill and she is the next in a long line of healers brought in to make him well. She has thirty days. The attraction and connection between Nora and Leo is instantaneous, yet both do their best to deny it. They share steamy kisses, as Leo struggles to keep his hands off of her. Meanwhile, Archie and Nora have formed a bond almost as powerful as the one Archie has formed with her dog Jamie. In this book we meet Leo’s brother David and his wife Olivia; his two sidekicks, Hamish and Robert; Thomas, his surrogate father and advisor; an unpleasant housekeeper; various maids and an eccentric old woman named Mabel. This is an exciting and emotionally charged story with ‘go away closer’ vibes, terrifying moments, passionate and endearing interludes and a betrayal and unexpected guest that will blindside you. Excellent second book in the series
The author wrote a story about a healer women whose kidnapped by a scary Highlander known as the wolf. But then she’s not “kidnapped” but kissing him. And he’s not “scary” ever nor is there any mention of the wolf again… the kid she is meant to heal is never sick, and she never does any “healing”. The story had seemed interesting at first. But instead it was just a lot of long looks and yearning. The guy likes to kiss her then ditch her and turns mean repeatedly. Very schoolyard level behavior. It got old very fast.
Laird Buckhan needs the best healer he can find to heal his son even if he has to kidnap her. So that is what he set out to do and he did not expect her to be young and beautiful. Nora has a secret and when the Leo kidnaps her she will try and do what it takes to get free until he tells her his son is ill and he needs her help. But Nora and Leo are both headstrong and but heads constantly and an attraction both of them try to fight. When Nora is exposed as witch it will take the love of one man to save her.
Nora is the oldest daughter of the late laird of clan Clyde. She is also a healer by choice traveling alone to help those in need. That is until she is captured by Leo, Laird of clan Buckhan. Leo needs a healer to heal his 5 year old son Archie. He captures Nora and gives her a month to heal Archie. Neither expected the attraction that would grow between the or the betrayal in their midst. Great book, loved the characters and the storyline.
I loved this one. The first one was also great. Loved the characters and storyline. Nora was such a strong character and had a giving heart. Leo was a beast for quite some time. Then the backstabber I had a feeling it was him. Sure got his comeuppance. Back to the latest Lyon’s Den Story “A Lyon to Die For” I had to pause that and read this!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊
Nora a strong lass who liked the healing arts. Even though she was a lady, she wanted to help people. Her need to be free had her going to many different places. Leo was a beast of a Laird and had many afraid of him. His story and that of his family was very interesting to read.
Laird Beastly is what they call Leo. Is it just rumors or truths. Read this lovely story and you will discover so much more. A page turner and it will keep you wanting more. You gotta read it to know what happens. I will never give anything away about these books, because I want you to discover all the secrets within.
Laird Leo bites off more than he can chew when he apprehends Nora for the sake of his son. She has a month to heal his son or risk his wrath, but more is at stake when feelings come into play. Will Leo and Nora walk a new path to a happily ever after. This story kept me glued to the pages. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
Wonderful book stayed so late reading it. Love how a few people fell in love with her. I didn't like how they referenced her leaving so much. Finding the plant that was making the child sick. How your dearest friends could fail you. This was a very iterating book and for me educational Just enjoy
I liked how Leo and Nora met and almost everything that followed. I disliked how Tomas turned against Nora! I would Recommend this book to loves of Scotch Highlands Historical fiction.
Nora is kidnapped by Leo the Laird in the area. She is to heal his sick son. She is definitely not the normal type of serving person. She is bossy and doesn't bow and listen to the Laird. Something that he wasn't used to. Great story and some I interesting characters.
Nothing like a Highlander romance! This one with some excitement, some mystery and some good old fashion love of family and humankind mixed in with good characters. These all make for a good read you will like.
That was such a wonderful exciting read, I loved reading Leo and Nora's love story. I highly recommend this amazing Scottish tale. Looking forward to reading the epilogue.
If you enjoy reading a story with a twist, great characters that bring laughter and soft tears, this is your book to read. Ms. Madigan is superb author that have woven a great storyline and as I reader was surprised in this one.
This is a well written story that I couldn't stop reading, What started with a kidnapping of a healer to help a small boy turns into a betrayal of a !ong time friend, a wonderful.love story and a reunion which unites two clans.
Nora was a travelling healer until she was kidnapped by Leo and his men. He needed a healer for his son's mysterious illness. They discovered more than a cure.
I really enjoyed both books in this series. They were both so lovely. I never thought Thomas would have been the baddie. It had me going until the end.😊😊
I liked the book it was good story .I didn't like the ending where you had to click to read more of the story. It makes me think twice before getting next in series.
Yes, he is a devil. She is unwittingly drawn to this man. However, all things are not as she fears, and he can make all her dreams come true. A satisfying read.
I fell in love with these 2. Leo especially. His son is so precious. Unexpected, surprise evil intrudes on their growing love story. I was so involved with them I cried at the wedding. I would read this numerous times to stay in the moment. Don’t miss this one!!
