Scarlett Prynne, her feline familiar Runeclaw, and her beloved motorcycle Dusk Runner tracked the instability in the local magic flows to Moab, Utah. A surge of magic and the earthquake that followed it made clear why they’d been led to this place.
Scarlett didn’t look for trouble, but it always seemed to seek her out like a hound on the trail of a choice steak. And this day was going to make what she’d dealt with before seem like amateur hour.
Is Redthorn Industries, the town’s biggest employer at the center of the troubles?
Scarlett will need to call on allies both old and new.
Jules, the potion-making proprietor of Mystic Brews, is ready to assist. But the real firepower will come from the Witches on Wheels, a group bound together by their magical abilities and love of the open road.
And where the Witches are found, the Spell Riders and her friends Maddox and Snow can’t be far behind.
But it will take even more than that to fight off this menace. Scarlett will need to get back to Oriceran and retrieve her best weapons for the inevitable fight ahead of her. Maybe kick her brother’s tail for sending her through a portal onto another planet without her best wand.
Trouble at home, trouble in Moab. It’s just a regular day for Scarlett, the Nomad Witch.
Can she solve the mystery of the magical surges and protect the people of Moab? Only one way to find out.
For action, magic, snarky banter, martial arts, mystical creatures, and a dash of mystery, join Scarlett and Runeclaw on their next adventure!
I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.
I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.
My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.
Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

Getting to know the Witches on Wheels bike gang was a treat and I love how they and the Spell Riders bike gang teamed up! They’re all lovely and I adore their friendship and found family.
Once again, these characters have my entire heart and soul. I think the first one is still my favorite but I’m not that far into the series yet so there’s still plenty more time for other favorites!
I wish more people read this series so I could gush over these characters with someone. They really are so wonderful and I love them so much. 🥹
Scarlett and Ravenclaw are wild and witchy (and perhaps a bit humorously bitchy and twitchy!) in this and rock on with new friends, helping new friends against crazy corporate machinations and likely their quest to world domination with no regard for those in their path (somehow that seems to be the way it so often goes, those in power are the least likely to deserve it and certainly misuse it).
If onnnnly we could see Scarlett and Ravenclaw, her new pal Lin from witches on wheels along with gal pal infomancer Amber along with Maddox and the gang from Spell Riders (love them!) all meet up to take down the baddies - and I lovvvve when the underdogs for good take take the bad.
Wonderful detail about the characters (thank you T.R.!) makes them come alive as warm and witty, snarky and sarcastic ride or die friends. Sparkling conversation with cutting quips as they race through action sequences make this a great story for the adrenaline junkies like my hubby!
A quick thank you to the artist writers (heartfelt thank you’s to TR, Martha and Michael) as well as the LMBPN family.
Your stories truly entertain and delight - there is power and depth in these tales, love and support in the characters lives that is encouraging and nurturing. So often it is missing in real life.
For those of us with family members moving through various stages of long term illness, books are sometimes the only comfort that grant respite, solace and laughter in those dark places of fear and silence. While it truly doesn’t seem enough, thank you all for those precious and much needed moments of joy and laughter.
Thank you for sharing some of your own lives in the author’s notes - you are bright creative lights for us all. Wishing you all peace and healing energy that you create in your worlds reflected back to you tenfold.
This was a delightful, entertaining kick a** novel and a totally worthwhile read
Cameron’s writing has a very comfortable and relaxed flow in this installment. There’s plenty of action, but none of it is frenetic. There’s also lots of quiet time, but none of it lasts too long. There’s a metric-ton of urgency, but they still make time to plan.
And the dialogue… Cameron has always had the gift of snark. If only I could be half as clever in my disagreements with friends… if only.
We also get to meet Scarlett’s family and get a better understanding of those relationships. It’s much more what you’d expect from Cameron than my initial impressions from the last book me to believe. Still that was my least favorite section of the book, and while I was looking forward to it, I ended up glad that it was a fairly brief vignette.
Don’t let that dissuade you, however… This is still probably one of the most enjoyable reads that Cameron has brought out to date, and I am so loving (almost) every moment of it. Do yourself a favor. If you haven’t, pick up the first book, pick up the free prequel, and enjoy!
As usual, with T.R. Cameron's writing, this book was a wonderful mix of cosy moments, followed by crazy plans, that the Witches on Wheels, and their male counterparts, Spell Riders, join together to complete.
Scarlett and Ravenclaw find out that there's big problems being caused by a huge business in Moab. They are mining, which they have permission for, but many magical locals are convinced they are involving or using magic to do so, which is causing stronger and repeated tremors.
When Scarlett, Ravenclaw, and their new friend, the Drow, Lin, investigate, they find even more problems than they had imagined, and so the two biker groups join together, in hopes of stopping the damage!
I loved this second book very much. I'm becoming much more familiar with the characters, both minor, and major, and I'm now going to go quickly onto Book Three: 'Payback's A Witch', to see what these companions can do to help keep everyone safe.
Once I've read this, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of this continuing story.
If you're up for lots of action, very snarky conversations, and very thin rationale for why people are destroying mountains - then this book's for you. I haven't really gotten a good connection with the MC, Scarlett, yet. She's basically going from location to location on a feeling, usually the cat's (Runeclaw) feeling, and joining with other supernaturals she meets to fight an "evil". I feel like I've read the series before with different twists here and there. This isn't a series I'll await the next book with batted breath for. The series seems ok and I'll probably read it though.
Scarlet and Runeclaw fall into trouble agin. joining them are the Witches On Wheels and old friends
Tremors set off near Moab put the team on alert that something is very wrong under ground. They started investigating and found a big conglomerate that works in the area are up to something. Witches On Wheels and Scarlets old friends join the investigation into the theft of ley lines and magic. The story becomes even more exciting from there!
Another exciting book in the series as Scarlett, Runeclaw, and their new friends take on a big company that's mining dangerous magical ore. The mining is threatening the town and the big wig of the company only cares about his plans to use the ore. Love the characters, the humor, and all the action in this series and am looking forward to the oncoming books.
This book was slow and boring, it only rose to the occasion in the last chapter. Am not sure what I will read the next book in the series as this series lacks the magical punch that makes it a great read and the characters interesting. Though some of the characters have potential the storyline is very sloppy and lacks depth and skips over details that would make it fun and exciting to read.
Scarlett finally meets the Witches on Wheels in Moab. She makes a bunch of potions for Jule, the potions shops owner, for money and discounted potions.
Meanwhile, something is wrong in Moab, magic surges and unnatural earth tremors shake the town.
Can the group find out what is wrong before all is lost. Read and find out!
Another rousing adventure by the famed trio TR Cameron,Martha Carr and Michael. Anderle. Im really going to miss this series. But writers got to write and readers got to read. Another slam dunk bc of a book. Thank you for the take along into the world of magic and mayhem. Loved it. Till next time boys and girls.
I can’t wait for the next book.. I like scarlet she had limited power in first book because her wand ,but met her super snarky cat companion with lot of power and other magicals who helped but now she has her wand and witch supplies and cat companion who ready to go on more adventures.
Finally a series that doesn't have the same protagonist for the duration. I hope. I liked the idea of the traveling duo of Scarlet and Runeclaw facing different adventures in each book. Really hope the next book ends this adventure and a new villain emerges in book 4. We shall see if I'm correct, if not , I will most likely not continue.
It's totally the fault of the authors, if they didn't write such entertaining books then I would (might?) have had the patience and self control to write a review on this, Book 2 of the series, a few days when I finished it. But alas, Book 3 was available, so of course that demanded to be read first.
Good addition to the series. Scarlet and friends really kicked butt. Good story line. Plenty of action. Character development continues nicely. Looking forward to where she is going next. Recommended.
I have enjoyed following Scarlet and Runeclaw as their journey continues. The other groups and supporting characters add to the enjoyment of the story. I look forward to the next book.
I think I liked this book even more than the first in the series. We get the Witches on Wheels, more desert explorations, a motorcycle-magic obstacle course, and of course snarky cat, wands, snarky family, and new friends.
Tremors and magic disruption. What are they mining and what are they using it for. The Witches on Wheels and Spell Rodets band together to end it will they have successful?
Another wild ride. Scarlett and Lin along with members of the Witches on Wheels and the Spell Riders take down an evil corporation. Of course magic and explosions are just par for the course. Looking forward to the next book.
It was a slow read, not very exciting. I realise a first story has to lay out its foundation and then the storyline gets going. I do hope so as I am continuing another book which gives me a break.
