I had the privilege of receiving an early copy of this collection, and while I haven't read all the stories (though I plan to), I've read a few. My thoughts are below.
Last Christmas by Autumn Macarthur What a sweet second chance romance! Full of hope, forgiveness, and a wonderful message of faith, I could hardly set it down.
I really liked Holliday and Zay. There were some issues from their past that they needed to work through, a misunderstanding from the previous Christmas, but I was rooting so hard for them.
I loved The Blue Door. It’s such a special place. I loved meeting the people who worked there and the residents. I look forward to visiting again. This was such a heartwarming Christmas story. I loved it so much!
A Maple Run Christmas by Toni Shiloh This was such a great fake dating, friends-to-more romance. I loved that God was at the forefront of this story. I loved how the characters talked to Him, listened for His answers, and trusted in His ways and timing. And I loved the big family dynamics. I always enjoy my visits to Maple Run, though they never seem to last long enough. This was another wonderful story from Toni Shiloh.
Emma’s Christmas Surprise by Linore Rose Burkard Emma’s done with romance, but it’s not done with her. I was a little apprehensive about this story and the potentially dicey relationship dynamic, but I was so curious how it would all turn out and I’m happy that I stuck with it. There was a really great reminder to seek, listen, and trust God.
From Realms of Glory by Scott R. Rezar This was such a beautiful love story. I’m almost at a loss for words. I loved how resilient Matt and Jennifer were. They were dealing with a really tough situation, but they never gave up. I loved the message of hope and the reminder that all things are possible with God. This was my first time reading anything by this author, but it won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to more from him.
I received a copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.
Each are sweet and wholesome with an element of Christian beliefs shared often. I did connect more with some than others. I received a complimentary copy and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

There are some Christmas miracles and answered prayers thrown their way, too.
A Maple Run Christmas
Rafe couldn’t see that the best thing in life was right in front of him. Until she kissed him…that got his attention. This was a cute story of two best friends; one wanting to be more and the other oblivious to everything. Throwing some fake dating and scheming grandmothers and that’s a recipe for a fun Christmas…and maybe longer.

Wish You Faith

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of stories set at Christmas time. I loved that the stories were all different in their themes and tropes, but that they all blended together to bring the reader a lovely holiday literary escape. I liked that the stories were Christian in nature - not preachy or pretentious - just good, clean storytelling. The characters were all very relatable. Some stories were just lovely feel-good stories. Other stories might cause a reader to pause and reflect, and still others might challenge the reader toward personal growth. This book is a festive and fun collection of stories that are sure to put any reader in the holiday spirit.
In Realms of Glory by Scott Rezer, I fell in love with these characters, and became fully invested with them from the very first page. I honestly couldn't put it down, and didn't want Matthew and Jennifer's story to end. One of the best Christmas love stories I've read. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but....will Matthew be able to start retaining every new memory or will his mind continue to reset when he goes to sleep? When will Jennifer get to reveal her secret, and Matthew remember it? Her faith and hope for a miracle are being stretched to the limits, will Jennifer have the strength to stay by Matthew's side?
I received an ARC and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Favourites stories from this collection: Maple Run Christmas by Toni Shiloh: A very sweet, unrequited to start with friends to more love story with a refreshing lack of major drama in the last third. A Lot Like Christmas by Lesley Ann McDaniel: My first experience with this author, this story was an easy read featuring likeable side characters, believable character journeys, relatable struggles, and, of course, a very sweet romance with good connection between the leads. Mended Hearts by Rose Fresquez: A fan of this authors writing, the chemistry between the leads in this second chance tale and how the way their reconnection was written was very tender, swoony, and just all round lovely. I also read Snowed in for Christmas with a Cowboy by Cynthia Hickey, a cowboy themed forced proximity second chance, and Noel by Terry Toler.
I enjoyed all the Christmas stories in this boxed collection. If you enjoy fake dating and friends to more, you'll enjoy A Maple Run Christmas. From hidden identity to fake dating to a husband having amnesia, reconciliation, misunderstandings, second chance at love, forgiveness, and more, these Christmas novellas are heartwarming. I received a complimentary copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Elena and Ford. The author brings a story of a second chance romance and forgiveness. She moves the story quickly and smoothly and delivers an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
Among the amazing collection of many new to me authors is one shining star that touched my heart. Trying to save Christmas by Dawn Kinzer put the reader into the skin of a heroine and hero facing pithy educational challenges. The heroine is a fourth grade teacher, who is determined to bring joy to one of her morning students, while the hero is thrown into his unexpected role as big brother and guardian to student. The way they interact with one another as they worked toward common goal to bless the boy is touching. Of course, their hearts are on the line – – everything I love about romance. This story delivers enjoyable sensory feels of the season and a beautifully wrapped happy ending. Highly recommend this story!
What a great collection of stories. The authors write a nice short each which is awesome when you want a quick story. The best part is that they can be read in any order since they are stand alone stories.
In the first book of this collection, A Maple Run Christmas by Toni Shiloh, we meet Rafe and Kandi, who have been friends for years. When Rafe suggests that they have a fake relationship from Thanksgiving until sometime in January, Kandi isn't sure it's a good idea, as she's been in love with him for years. However, the more she thinks about it, she realizes she'd love to see what being his girlfriend would be like, plus she'd also like to not be asked why she isn't dating, she agrees. When it seems like Rafe's abuela doesn't accept Kandi, and Kandi's grandmother grills Rafe, it doesn't bode well for their fake relationship. When Rafe finally realizes he's actually in love with Kandi, will things work out for them, or will their families want to keep them apart?
In the second book of this collection, Snowed in for Christmas with the Cowboy by Cynthia Hickey, we meet Amy and Dawson. Amy and Dawson were engaged three years ago, before Dawson called off the engagement and left. When she finds out, she can't believe that Dawson would believe she'd do what his best friend, Jake, told him. She feels that if Dawson had loved her, he would have told her what Jake said and would have known she wasn't like that. Amy's now stuck with Dawson at the ranch he works at, so could this be a second chance for them?? Amy knows Dawson is the only man she'll ever love. Will Dawson realize Amy still loves him, didn't do what Jake said, and be able to get her to see he still loves her before she leaves the ranch?
In An English Christmas with Aunt Mairi by Lisa Prysock, we meet Maisey and Keven. Maisey is soooo tired of being asked when she's going to get married by her family, that she decides to ask her nextdoor neighbor, Kevin, to be her plus one. She promises him that if he goes to England with her for Christmas, she'll go to his mother's for New Year's Eve and be his plus one. After all, what can go wrong?? Even if they don't get along, and decide not to see each other after the holidays, they'll at least both get through without having to answer when they're going to get married. When it starts feeling real, will Maisey stabotage it herself?? There were parts of the book that were totally funny, and some where you felt so sorry for Maisey.
In Last Christmas by Autumn Macarthur, we meet Zay and Holly, who have known each other since they were eleven. They were best friends, until last Christmas, when they decided to see if there was more there. There was, until Zay jumped to conclusions based on his background, and didn't give Holly time to explain what happened. This Christmas, she hadn't planned to see him, until they ended up working at the shelter together. Now, is there still enough spark left to build the fire again, and get their second chance, or will it fizzle out since Holly still wants a promotion at work, and can't get past her own background to see that she really can trust Zay and God. Love how things come together!
In A Lot Like Christmas by Lesley Ann McDaniel, we meet Leah and Seth. Seth is back in Seattle after what he considers a failed trip to NYC. Leah is back in Seattle to co-star in a musical play, where she'll be opposite Seth. The first time they meet, Seth is not friendly at all. Leah can't decide if it's Seth or her, though her friend and assistant, Brooke, assures her it's Seth. Leah decides she needs to help Seth. The more time they spend together, the more she's drawn to Seth, though he keeps going hot and cold on her. When Leah decides she needs to help Seth see that he shouldn't give up on performing, she finally makes headway. Is it too late for the two of them, though, or will Seth finally see that she's behind him, no matter what life my throw at them?
In From Realms of Glory by Scott Rezer we meet Matthew and Jennifer. Matthew is suffering from two forms of amnesia after a traumatic brain injury, and has lost ten years of his life. He no longer remembers Jennifer, and every morning when he wakes up, he's lost the day before. Each day, Jennifer has to remind him that they're married, and answers the same questions. After two weeks in a care facility, the doctor suggests that they go home. She also suggests that Jennifer wake him up two or three times a night to see if that will help him remember. Both are surprised when that does help! Is this going to be as good as it gets, and will they be able to make new memories to replace the ones Matt lost?? As they learn to trust each other again, and to continue to trust God, things begin to happen. Just a great story!!!!
In Noel by Terry Toler, Noel meets Avery when she auditions for the lead actress role in his new film. Avery falls for her that day, but he thinks it'll end after they finish the movie. After all, his crushes on all of his previous co-stars have been that way. When it doesn't, though, he knows Noel is the one for him. Noel isn't looking for love. Her husband died on their honeymoon, and she hasn't dated anyone, nor has she wanted to, since. Until Avery. Neither knows how the other feels, and while Avery is willing to take the risk, noel is afraid to love again, fearing that it will end just like her first marriage. Will Noel be able to overcome her fear and trust God, or will she let love slip away because she's too afraid to trust?

Things go well, until the day before Christmas Eve. Does this mean the end of the budding relationship between Kellie and Jude? And, what about the relationship between Jude and Aaron?? Will things work out for all three, or will they go back to being the lonely people they were before? Love how Jude gets his relationship with Jesus back on track, too!!

What a fantastic narrative this is. The characters can really be identified with. I adore Autumn's writing style because it draws the reader in and makes them feel like they are a part of the narrative. I didn't want to do anything else because I was so engrossed in this novel. I think Autumn Macarthur’s books are so great because she always prioritizes God, and Holliday and Zay are a great pair. Her writing abilities are a true gift from God. I'm eager to see what she accomplishes next. This book is something I wholeheartedly endorse. “I received ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.”
A Maple Run Christmas This is such a lovely tale about romance and friendship. From the outset, this book captured my heart. The characters are incredibly likable and authentic. The way Toni Shiloh writes in this novel makes you feel as though you are actually there, inside the pages. Excellent work by Toni Shiloh, the author. I am eager to read more of this author's work. “I received ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.”
Snowed In At Christmas by Cynthia Hickey
I've never read anything by this author before, but I'm not let down. I really like this book; it was a lot of fun, and I really liked the characters and the backstory. I'm going to check out this author's other books. Outstanding work by Cynthia Hickey
An English Christmas With Aunt Mairi by Lisa Prysock
With its wonderful characters, lots of love, and humor, this novel was a lot of joy to read. As they don't want to spend Christmas with their families alone again, Maisey and Kevin—who are also neighbors—come up with a scheme that is very entertaining. Lisa Prysock did an amazing job with this book. This was a really enjoyable read, and I heartily suggest it to everyone.
A Lot Like Christmas by Lesley Ann McDaniel
Leah, a well-known actress, and her leading man, a sullen Seth, need to find a way to click on stage. Is one of them supposed to move on or can they work things out? This book has a lot of character care, and I really enjoy how important God is to these stories. Lesley Ann McDaniel did an amazing job.
From Realms Of Glory by Scott R. Rezer
I think there will be a permanent imprint since this story has hit me so deeply. This book was amazing beyond measure. Even though I haven't read any of this author's works before, this tale is among the most exquisite I've ever come across. I recommend this book to everyone. Everyone ought to love one another as much as this husband and wife do. Fantastic work, Scott R. Rezer.
Noel by Terry Toler
What a fantastic tale. I adore the characters and their tale of romance between Hollywood stars. Though Noel's first husband's passing is heartbreaking, I appreciate that she eventually finds love again. This collection of stories is full of excellent stories that are a little different from what I typically read. I heartily urge everyone to read this collection of literature. Great job by Terry Toler.
Emma’s Christmas Surprise
What a wonderful tale. This was such a fantastic story. Everything about this story was wonderful. Making such a difficult choice, yet the answer is obvious when you ask God for guidance. I have read this author's book for the first time, and I can't wait to read more from her. Outstanding work, Linore Rose Burkard.
Trying To Save Christmas by Dawn Kinzer
What a lovely tale of adoration and dedication. New to the area as a teacher, Kellie is concerned about one of her students. Aaron's brother Jude and his instructor Kellie Winters are trying to support him after Aaron experienced a horrific occurrence, but Jude has his own issues to resolve. I'm excited to read more from this author, who is another new one to me. Everything is possible with God. Fantastic work, Dawn Kinzer.
Falling In Love Despite Christmas Miscalculations by Christine L. Henderson
What a delightful and lovely tale. I had not previously read any novels written by this author, so I was pleasantly surprised by what I found in her writing. I adored the entire plot. This was a really enjoyable book to read. I heartily urge everyone to read this book. Fantastic work, Christine L. Henderson.
Mended Hearts by Rose Fresquez
What a beautiful tale of love, friendship, healing from the past, and reconciliation. I adore how God is at the center of all these stories. These figures were amazingly brought to life by Rose Fresquez. Both the book and the boxed set come highly recommended.
Wish You Faith by Jan Thompson
A beautiful tale of love at first sight, perfect for Christmas. This author vividly captures the characters, who are fantastic. She immerses you in the narrative. Despite not having read this author's writings previously, I have to admit that I am impressed. Outstanding work by Jan Thompson. This book and boxed set come highly recommended.
It’s All Here… 2nd chances, unrequited love, lost memories, trust issues, and more
Christmas is a season of love and hope but sometimes love needs to be rekindled. The novellas in this book do just that. Oh yes, there will be obstacles to overcome just like real life, but the Spirt of Christmas is alive and well.
If you like unrequited love stories and second chances, you’ll not be disappointed as they definitely are among the lineup in this book.
One example is 'Mended Hearts' by Rose Fresquez. What was going to be a lonely Christmas for Elena Martinez, a shadow from the past might just sneak in the back door. Hmmm, maybe it didn’t ‘sneak in’ at all, maybe it was meant to be. What a beautiful second chance story full of love and a surprise or two.
And that is just one example of the novellas included here. I love how all of them are full of hope, but not the fake, instant storyline kind. You’ll be able to read about unrequited love, lost memories, trust issues and even an intriguing clean, wholesome, love triangle.
As they say: Tis the Season… but honestly, these novellas make for good reading anytime of the year.
Trying to Save Christmas by Dawn Kinzer is perfect for readers of inspirational fiction looking for a short Christmas read to warm the heart. Jude Turner’s parents adopted a child they fostered long after he’d grown up, but when they lose their lives in a tragic boating accident, Jude becomes an instant guardian of the young boy, Aaron, who he barely knows. Jude has some challenges in his new role. Kelly, Aaron’s fourth grade teacher, is big-hearted and determined to do all she can to help. A sweet, short contemporary Christmas romance with a bit of depth. While this story deals with grief in a real way by having the characters grow and come to terms with loss, it is a balanced read that kept me turning pages. Easy to read. Dual POVs. Wholesome, sweet, and charming. Love the romance and the Christmas Vibes. (Kelly loves Christmas!) All in all, I thought this was a perfect, quick Christmas romance read. As soon as I can carve out some time, I plan to read the rest of the collection! I was gifted a copy of this collection. All opinions are my own.
With Christmas sneaking up on us, it’s time to download the holiday romances! When I had the opportunity to read this collection of novellas, I jumped at it. I haven’t gotten through all of them, but the ones I’ve read I have enjoyed.
This review is specifically for Dawn Kinzer’s Trying to Save Christmas. What a sweet story! I felt for fourth-grader Aaron in the loss of his adoptive parents and his longing to celebrate the Christmas traditions he’d come to know. I sympathized with Jude—the adult biological son—as he struggled with his own grief and the resentment of suddenly being thrust into the role of Aaron’s guardian, a brother he barely knew. I admired Kellie’s desire to help them both through a tough time.
This is a gentle romance, but it’s more a story of relationships in general. My best one-word description for this novella is touching. It’s a lovely story that proves a reminder of what good will at Christmastime is all about.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. My opinions are my own.
This Christian 12 holiday romance novella collection box set is page-turning with exceptional world-building during the holidays, and characters that are captivating, resilient and realistic. The novella that I am reviewing though is Mended Hearts, by Rose Fresquez. This novella is clean and wholesome with a journey that is enthralling with mended hearts, heartfelt emotions that will leave readers needing Puffs/Kleenex to wipe the tears that are threatening to pour down their cheeks, drama, love, a Christmas winter wonderland that is engulfed by the sprit of Christmas and decorations, adventure, action, and more. I recommend reading this novella by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with finding love at Christmas, Mended Hearts, and a happily ever after that is sure to transport readers into a magical winter wonderland that is consumed by love and is unforgettable.
I received this novella via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
twelve beautifully well written books. Each book has a Christian belief that I am sure everyone can connect with the characters in their stories and possibly from hearing while growing up if now what you believe now. Shows God is still in control We see stories of learning to trust, of working through lies. In Last Christmas we learn to overcome heartache and trust God. The In the story A Lot like Christmas we learn a lesson we're not the failure we think we are. I know we all have heard many times about honoring our parents and think that lesson is just for kids, but we also learn to cherish the time we have left with them in Wish You Faith. How many times have we looked at someone status or other things and not at their heart in Falling in Love despite Christmas Miscalculations we learn to look at the heart. We even have an English Countryside Christmas story how romantic can that get at Christmas?
Finding Love at Christmas is a set of 12 Christmas novellas, each with a Christian theme. I haven't read all of them yet, but I plan on it.
I did read Last Christmas by Autumn MacArthur, twice in fact. It is a second chance, friends to enemies to lovers romance with a joy-filled happy-ever-after.
I appreciated returning to The Blue Door, a homeless shelter in London. The examples the volunteers set for the occupants were teachable moments. The prayers for Simon and Chelle and their premature baby, as well as prayers for others living and volunteering at The Blue Door were an inspiration.
The prayers Holly and Zay prayed for each other showed me how God can work in our lives if we're open to Him. I definitely recommend this clean, Christian romance.
I was given an ARC of this set from BookFunnel at the request of Autumn MacArthur. All thoughts and comments are mine, given voluntarily.
Finding Love at Christmas is a collection of 12 wholesome novellas that celebrate happily-ever-after around the holidays. Within these stories there is something for everyone, from hidden identity to fake dating to a husband having amnesia, reconciliation, misunderstandings, second chances at love, forgiveness, and more readers are bound to connect in some way.
Whether you are looking for a lovey-dovey feel-good story, or a moment to pause and reflect for personal growth this collection is sure to make your Christmas season merry and bright!
I received a complimentary copy of A Maple Run Christmas by Toni Shiloh. Whether you've read the Maple Run series or not, you'll enjoy this sweet family oriented town. Kandi and Rafe grew up together and have a history of strong friendship and comradery, but Kandi wants more. Unfortunately Rafe is completely oblivious. Throw in fake dating, scheming grandmothers and this relationship will be jingling it's way towards happily ever after.
This review is for Trying to Save Christmas by Dawn Kinzer
Trying to Save Christmas is a sweet story filled with holiday spirit. I enjoyed getting to know Kellie, Jude, and Aaron as they became better acquainted during a school break.
Kellie is a warm-hearted fourth-grade teacher concerned about her troubled student. Jude is an overwhelmed graphic artist trying to work and care for his younger brother, who is struggling with grief after losing their parents. Kellie and Jude must work together to help Aaron navigate his heartbreak and loneliness during the holiday season. This holiday offering is a must-read if you like relatable characters, cozy settings, and happy endings.
I received an advanced copy of this book. My opinions are my own.
This collection is perfect for Christmas! I plan to read them all. I have read Emma's Christmas Surprise. Emma's boyfriend, Gabe, is a pastor intern. He's a predictable, steady, dependable man she's comfortable with all the time. In fact, she expects an engagement ring very soon on Christmas Eve. Enter Ethan, Gabe's brother, a motion picture art director. He's a laid-back, fun-loving guy. As Emma interacts with the two brothers, she wonders if she is really in love with Gabe and if she will be happy with a lackluster life with him. What's her Christmas surprise? Read this charming story and find out? A heartwarming contemporary read from gifted writer Linore Rose Burkard.
In Finding Love at Christmas, you’ll find clean, faith-filled, charming romances, all set against the jingle jangle backdrop of Christmas. In A Maple Run Christmas by author Toni Shiloh, Rafe and Kandi, best friends for years, decide to fake date over the holidays to avoid annoyances from each of their families. But can the joy of the season, and the Lord, turn fake into forever? Fake dating, second chance romance, enemies to more, amnesia… Pick a trope and you’ll find it in this wonderful anthology. I highly recommend it! I received a complementary copy of this book but my opinion is entirely my own.
What a nice selection of heartwarmilng Christian novellas set during Christmas. I also liked the wonderful selection of authors that wrote books for this anthology and look forward to reading all of them
Finding Love at Christmas by Rose Fresquez This was a beautiful Christmas story in the Finding Love at Christmas Anthology, I really liked the characters, the themes of miracles, forgiveness, and second chances. It was a sweet story to read. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this Christmas Anthology! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Watching Holliday and Zay work through so many different kinds of situations was just what I needed to read right now. A huge thank you to Autumn for being the messenger who brought God's Word to my heart! Plus, it was just plain encouraging to hear their love story.
I can always count on Autumn's books being both encouraging and challenging - and this book did both of those things for me!
And, I found Finding Love at Christmas collection to be overall helpful - as well as entertaining!
I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is a collection from different authors. I haven’t finished the whole book yet from each author but I will finish. “Trying to Save Christmas” by Dawn Kinzer touched my heart and made me think of my own parents and what a blessed childhood I had. I loved the compassion the teacher Kellie had for her student, of course it didn’t hurt for him to have a handsome brother named Jude either. This inspirational and romantic novella will have you thinking. This book will also bless you while they are “Trying to Save Christmas”. I received a complimentary copy but was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
