I used to think I wanted to be in control—but every command that rolls off Damon Anderson’s tongue proves just how wrong I was. When bad weather traps us in a cabin together on the way to his wilderness retreat, his domineering presence unlocks something more terrifying than the storm raging outside—my own desperate need to surrender. Now, it’s achingly clear why no man ever held my interest until now. I want to be controlled. Commanded. Conquered. I want to kneel and obey and indulge this intoxicating man’s every whim. To lose myself in the thrill of being possessed and protected. Damon wants to own me—and I want nothing more than to let him.

I’ve always felt at home in the wild, but nothing set loose the untamed thing inside me until I heard Sam Watson say, “Yes, sir.” Running a wilderness operation taught me to expect the unexpected. I can build an emergency shelter or splint a broken arm without blinking. But nothing could have prepared me for the rush of claiming Sam—mind, body, and soul—and bending him to my will awakens cravings I’ve never felt for any woman. His desire to please me fuels a need I’ve never allowed myself to explore with anyone, let alone a man, but guiding him into surrender feels like the most natural thing in the world. With every order he obeys, Sam shows me how much he’s willing to give—and I’m going to take it all.

This is the first book in the Wild Woods series. It can be read as a standalone with no cliffhanger.

Chosen is the first book in a new series by Jason Collins called Wild Woods. I'm not going to into the story, that's for you to read. What I will tell you, it that it's sweet, low angst, and mild on the D/s interaction. And I love it. The relationship between the MCs was wonderful to watch. There was very little heaviness. The obstacles to their happy ending were quickly resolved. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

That was soooo ridiculous, I don’t even know why I read it all 😂

Like, really, Damon was always straight but he meets one guy and hours later sleeps with him, like no problem, no question, everything’s normal?!

And they’re supposed to be stranded in this cabin, but they can walk to a store nearby, and even go to a restaurant? Yeah, not stranded at all 🤣

The scenario was like written by a 12 y-o, and sooo many smut scenes, and this kind of not really dom/sub dynamic was absolutely ridiculous…

Although I liked a good bit of this book. It just read with too many holes and the relationship was almost instantaneous. There was not a lot of tension in getting to the love and the only tension was in their bondage Dom/Sub relationship sex that happened basically the day they met.

It was a straight man that all of a sudden took another man and gave him a "fantastic" BJ? It just read untrue for many reasons. Hot lust is one thing, but the whole BDSM thing that turned into love in basically three days? I mean there is something to be said for fantasy, but still--either go so far out that fantasy is all its about, but try to put some realistic emotions into the story.

I am glad they had a HEA though and it would be hard to believe that they got together permanently. Too unrealistic somehow. But, like I said, many parts of this story were well done. Maybe I just wanted the love to grow and not just sprout into a full grown tree.

Jason Colliins Is Back!!!

Oh, Jason - I knew something was missing from my life; it was reading a new book from you. Chosen (Wild Woods Book 1) is perfection, a sexual awakening tale with a little kink and a lot of love. Sam has to get away from his job following entertainment industry gossip, taking a trip to Wild Woods, a nature camp in Roanoke VA where he ends up spending time with Damon, one of the camp's owners in a cabin during a rainstorm to end all storms. Suffice it to say the close quarters lead to romance and understanding.

Mr Collins has given us a lovely romance between equals. A year was too long to be without his talented voice! Thank you, Jason, you were missed.

Climbing out the box can be fun. Sam, books a vacation in the woods hoping to shed the confines of the city and experience the clean open beauty of the woods. He meets, Damon who is a one of three partners who own the business. They get stranded in the cabin because of the unexpectedly severe weather. They get to know each other better opening new doors on their lifestyle. Sam, lives in Atlanta and Duncan is in Roanoke. Can they make this work? Jason has created a group of friends that seem fun and supportive. He pulls us into a world that makes me want to book a vacation and test my inner outdoors person. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sam’s biggest characteristic was his self doubt. Damon sees how amazing Sam is and has no trouble showing him. It takes several ‘lessons’ but Sam begins to see himself through Damon’s eyes. Damon has his own issues but I really liked that with each one he faced it. He talked about them with Sam, and with his friend. The story has some light BDSM but it’s not really the focus. There is plenty of spice moments and some sweet ones as well.

DAMON AND SAM

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

Damon is considered straight and is part owner of Wild Woods. He sees Sam and is immediately smitten. This story shows that love is quick and sometimes perfect despite the way people see themselves and how others see them. The D/s scenes are interesting and worth visiting.

I liked this story. Damon and Sam were interesting characters. I think that the author did an excellent job with them. Their story was entertaining. The storyline kept my attention and I think that this story set a good foundation for Jason's new series.
I received a complimentary copy of this story and I freely left this review.

A really great story

I really enjoyed this story. It was a good book that kept me hooked. It isn’t a insta love story however it is a fast love which was great for me. Both MC’s come together and get stuck in a cabin. They learn about each other but can’t help but feel the connection between them.

I really enjoyed the ending and so glad it ended the way it did.

If this is his way of kicking off a series, excellent. Jason Collins writes characters as interesting as any of the men writing in this field, and I'll read anything he writes, with pleasure.

Thought it was a great start to a new series. Partial to mild D/s stories. It was a funny, sweet story of meeting someone that was perfect for you. Recommend reading.

A good start to a series... The storyline was low on the drama and had a bit of kink. Overall, I enjoyed it.
