This is the second Time Travel I have read from this "new to me" author. Again a 5 star read! I wasn't sure at first, I wasn't buying her "plot" but oh wow halfway through did it take off with so many twists and turns! Then...I was so hoping the ending wouldn't be like the predictable ones that are in most time travels. Nor would it copy her other one I just read. Nope. Was a total mind think-bending ending. I had no clue or could guess, and was very surprised this one as her last one did, kept me reeled in to the very end! I had to re read the epilogue twice just to make sure I got just what turned out! Elyse Douglas is becoming a favorite author as a go to read in this Genre.
In the beginning of the book Ethan and Gillian are living in the year 1900.
At the end of the book Gillian and Ethan are living in the year 2023.
The middle of the book involves time travel. There is love, adventure, family conflicts, friends, and other significant people. It all makes for a very good plot, with all the elements of a good book.
I enjoyed following the lives of Gillian, Ethan, and Hero, the dog. I liked that the author wrote a time travel book that had so much more than just romance.
If I have left you feeling lost and a bit confused, just read the book, and you will understand.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to immerse themselves into the concept of Time Travel. I, myself, like to probe my mind and always ask myself ...WHAT IF ...! Elyse Douglas and their Time Travel novels do Just That! Time and Tide, along with others that I have read, cause you to STOP and THINK !! Just Thinking is something people nowadays don't do enough of. VERY OUTSTANDING AUTHORS AND NOVEL !!!!!!
Hello Book Lovers! I'm so excited to share another incredible book from Elyse Douglas.
Elyse and her husband, Doug, are masters of the Time Travel genre. They have written many books that transport us to different eras and let us vividly experience the past. This book, 'Time and Tide,' is a bit different and has a surprising twist. Our heroine is a newlywed who finds herself on a yacht caught in a violent storm. She wakes up in the 1900s, where she has to deal with the shock of her husband's betrayal and the unfamiliar world around her. Will she be able to adjust to both of them, or will she look for a way out? How will her presence affect the future? Can she change it or not?
Wow, this book is full of suspense and intrigue! I couldn't put it down, and I'm sure you won't either. Join me and discover what happens to Gillian Woodruff. 'Time and Tide' is out now, and you can grab your copy today.
This is a very good read that begins in the present, goes back in time and then comes full circle back to a very changed present. Gillian is a woman of today who after falling overboard from her father’s yacht awakes to find herself back in 1900 in a very different world. She remembers her life in 2023, but has no idea how to return so she adapts. She is rescued by Ethan, a lighthouse keeper and a very different life unfolds. Very exciting and a fun story. Highly recommended!
Ethan was alive and a lighthouse keeper in 1900. Gillian was a therapist in 2023. She discovered that her newly married husband was cheating on her and he tried to throw her off the yacht. Gillian was from a billionaire family. Her husband would inherit the money at her death…but in the storm, she went over board and landed near a lighthouse, year of 1900. Things and thoughts were certainly messed up. There was a lot of adventures that they both went on, after they had to straighten out history.
A good story, although not my favorite in this series. Characters were mostly relatable. Not a whole lot of action. Very well written, as always. I’m not really sure why I didn’t like it more. If this is the first of their books you are considering reading, maybe not the best to begin with. If you’ve read other books by them, this is a pleasant story you won’t want to miss.
A rich, educated young lady finds out her brand new husband is a betraying scandral. A very bad storm comes up and she is knocked overboard and into 1900. What a culture shock! It is a great read with a combination of how things were in the yr 1900 and where Gillian came from in 2023. She meets the one man she can truly love but...there are complications. I enjoyed this book very much.
When I started reading this book I was put off , I just didn't like the way it started and was ready to return it and find another. But I was in an area where I didn't have internet and subsequently couldn't download another book. So I continued on with the book, and am I glad I did. This is an excellent story. It is exciting heartwarming and a beautiful clean love story. You won't be disappointed.
I've read all of Elyse Douglas books. This one is just as great as the others or maybe even better. If you like time travel books, you will love this one. It has murder, suspense, and romance.
An inspiring fun read. Starts off slow for 2 chapters but then rushes forth into unexpected plot turns and is hard to put down. A good summer book while visiting the New England Coast.
Gillian went overboard during a storm and landed from 2023 to 1900. Ethan found her and took care of her. Later at a lighthouse during a storm they landed in 2023 with history changed.
Families and all that goes with it. Good and bad. Mystery and time travel can change every thing. So happy it was all Turned out good. I read until I finished the book. Couldn't put it down. Thank you.
Now I have read two of her books. Both are great and so I shall read more. I suppose it’s smart never to attempt how the time travel was accomplished - clever.
What a surprising story from Mrs Douglas, she sure has a wild imagination to evolve this tale. I really enjoyed this even though how the time travel remains a mystery of the sea. I was glad she brought Ethan into the picture. I also enjoyed Hero, as an assistant. Loved it 5
I have read most all of Elyse Douglas time travel novels. This one just wasn't my favorite. Although I would say if there was a second book I would read it. It is a charming story and interesting story.
If you like Time Travel books this one you will enjoy! I think Elyse has out done herself with this one!! Once you start reading this book it’s hard to put down!!
