150114: quick intro. encourages me to read certain works. it has been many many years since i studied lit at u, though i have also since read a few works on lit criticism, particularly on sf, fantasy, and pomo writing in general, so this covers some time for me as to what is 'contemporary', but an easy read, not a fractious sort of book, embedded in its time and place but open to where we are in its future, our present...
