I read this book as my third fairy tale and I absolutely loved it. The illustrations were amazing and went perfectly with the story. The font and positioning of the words were just right. The story itself was short, fun, and easy. This book could easily be read to any age group and used in many activities, especially for bullying. This perfectly represents that you have to stand up to bullies; the bully in this story being the troll. I was nervous about reading a fairy tale that wasn’t one of the original ones like Little Red Riding Hood, but I will be branching out more now to find different ones. I also had a little trouble finding various fairy tales at the bookstore (Barnes & Noble), but I loved the ones I found.
This has always been a cute story to read to a classroom! It tells of three billy goat brothers that must use their minds to fool the troll into letting them cross the bridge. The first two brothers know that they cannot beat the mean troll so they say that he should not eat them because the next brother is larger. this allows the two youngest to pass so that their oldest brother can fight the troll. This story emphasizes the importance of family and protecting those who are weaker than you that you love.
the Illustrations done by Gavin Scott are great! He uses vibrant colors and child friendly characters that all kids would enjoy looking over.
A good read in how three billy goats outsmarted the troll under the bridge to get to the other side of the river. Illustrations are funny and imaginative. A good read for younger children.
Three billy goats try crossing a bridge, but a troll tries to stop them. After a while the billy goats outsmart the troll to cross the bridge. Children will love this book.
