The whole serie is not that new or awesome but I really enjoy my reading. The characters are both great and mature and fun. The action is here, I didn't see the page turning.
It was great

I've finished this book in one day! On 4,5 hours of train travel to be precise.

This book was better in getting me awake than a cup of coffee (it was really really early this morning). I flipped pages like a manic on the train, the suspence and everything that was happening in this book, it was SO GOOD.

Bit I really did not like the ending. And what's with the short story in the back? Is this the guy from the thing? I do not get it, so it didn't added anything to the series for me.

But I've really enjoyed these series and I highly recommend them! Book 2 is even my favorite book of the series, so you don;t have to be afraid of a second-book-syndrome :)

This is the first book in this trilogy that I was fully able to enjoy. Maybe I was just in the right mood for it this time. The first two books just didn’t have the epic amount of action and adventure that this book did. There was some romantic stuff, but it wasn’t the most important thing. I really liked that Noa and Peter were back together for this book. They are both amazing hackers (and Zeke was too). They have great dialogue. Also Teo and Daisy are so cute together. All their dialogue is lovey-dovey and funny.

Don’t let go had a dystopian-esque feel to it. It was very much a thriller. It’s a little on the sci-fi side with Noa’s implanted thalamus and the made up disease of PEMA. This book is so much fun, but there’s also some questionable subjects. Kidnapping and organ trafficking and murder and whatnot. You can discuss it. The book leads into an epic conclusion and we finally discover what PEMA really is.

I’d compare it to the Unwind series, but instead of unwinding AWOLs, street kids were being kidnapped to be experimented on and used to find a cure for a disease called PEMA. I love to hacker stuff. I always feel like hackers have superpowers because they can manipulate technology (but hackers can be bad when they use their powers to steal you information). /ALLIANCE/ is a hackivist group that Noa and Peter are apart of. It is like the real hackivist Anoymous. I watch Agents of SHEILD and Skye is a hacker, and I also watch Scorpion on CBS, another great TV show about hackers. Anyone who’s a fan of those shows or thriller maybe enjoy this series.

Cover Art Review: I like the silhouetted hand and fist and the title. The color scheme is good. It’s a sticking cover. Wish it were metallic.

A fast-paced exhilarating ride! Loved this book. I missed the first two in the trilogy but the author did a fabulous job of weaving in just enough back story to let you know what had transpired in the first two books.

Noa's health is failing and she and her three friends are being hunted. They're living out of abandoned projects and trying to evade being detected. They're some of the last remaining members from Persephone's Army alive. They believe Charles Pike is responsible for the outbreak of the disease PEMA and using teens as lab rats to find a cure. Many teens have died including some of Noa's friends in Persephone's Army. Noa, Peter, Daisy, and Teo have stolen hard drives that they think has the information to bring down Pike, restore Noa's health, and may hold the answers to finding a cure for PEMA. They need to hack into the drives before they're killed or kidnapped by Pike's goons.

Action and adventure right until the bitter end! Noa, Peter, Daisy, and Tea are all strong characters with their own subplots. You won't be able to put this book down once you begin.

Pike & Dolan raided the safest house Noa and her team ever had. She escaped with Teo and Daisy, everyone else presumed dead. Mason had persuaded Peter to join him in stealing P&D’s data. Physically stealing hard drives from a server. Mason betrayed him, but Peter managed to get away, with the help of the northeast chapter of Persefone’s Army. At the beginning of this book he has joined Noa, Teo and Daisy. They are being hounded every couple of days by the hired goons. It looks hopeless. Constantly on the run, no time to try and crack into the data on the drives.

Fast read when I concentrated. A bit on the hopeless side with Noa and Amanda getting sicker, an army of goons chasing them and the authorities seemingly in the pocket of the rich CEO. Never a moment of rest. 4.4 stars. Concluding volume, book one has a fantastic hook, book two and three we need to find out what becomes of Noa and Peter.

This is the third installment of the PERSEF0NE trilogy. Peter and Noa are on the run, attempting to figure out how to reveal Pike's crimes and how to save Noa and Amanda (and all PEMA victims). A few events are a bit far-fetched or a little too convenient but the heroes remain likable and I was definitely rooting for them. Pike was a bit too much of an evil villain to be believable but they added depth to Mason that was intriguing. Teo and Daisy became more interesting as they became more independent. The conclusion was a bit too perfect and "happily ever after" with the obvious difficulties being glossed over but the climax was exciting and satisfying.

The story: Charles Pike is one of the richest men in the world. He's murdered hundreds to try to find a cure for the disease that's killing his daughter. The solution to his problem lies in Noa Torson--who, with Peter Gregory, remains stubbornly on the run, always eluding Pike and his personal army of mercenaries. But Pike's got all the money there is, powerful friends in high places, and his personal evil minion, Mason, to do his bidding, while the kids just have their brains. Pretty uneven contest. (Or is it?)

June Cleaver's ratings: Language PG-13, Violence R; Sexual content PG; nudity PG; substance abuse PG-13; magic and the occult G; GLBT content G; adult themes (abuse of power by the wealthy; illegal human experimentation; torture) PG-13; overall rating PG-13.

Liz's comments: While the first in the series was definitely the best of the three, the other two moved the story forward, and the final volume keeps you wondering all the way to the end whether Noa and Amanda are doomed to die, or whether Peter will be successful in saving them. Interestingly, Peter and Noa turn out not to be each other's true love (which seemed to be the way it was heading), but they still work together to pull a kick-butt tech move on Charles Pike that destroys him in the end (which he totally deserves, cuz for once, the bad guy really is as evil as they thought). Give this one to smart kids who feel like being a jock is more valued by our society than being able to think. It'll give them something new to consider!

Annotation: final book in the series, no annotation forthcoming!

This book was amazing!
I was kind of disappointed when I finished it, because:
1. This is the final book in this trilogy.
2. I wanted to read this book for months and it finished.
3. I didn't like the ending.

Why didn't I like the ending?
I don't like Zeke. That's why. And if you have read the book, you'll probably know why I didn't like the ending. I'm not telling you anything because of spoilers, if you are a curious reader and haven't read this book yet, but want to know a bit more about it. This review is 100% spoiler free. I think so.

This trilogy was amazing and definitely one of my favorites. Oh, I have so many favorite series...
This is a thriller, but I guess you already know that.
You can compare it with the BZRK trilogy by Michael Grant, even though it is totally different, but this is the only series/book I know which is kind of like this trilogy.

My favorite characters are Peter and Noa.

The covers are gorgeous. The Dutch covers too, but I like this one even more.

Michelle Gagnon is just such an amazing author and I liked her first book in this trilogy, Don't turn around, immediately after reading the first page. Seriously, that book made me love to read about hackers.
There is also another book, kind of similar to this one (I thinks so) and it is Free to fall, by Lauren Miller. I haven't read it yet, but I'm sure it is kind of like Don't turn around and BZRK.

I didn’t expect this book to surprise me, but it did. I’m just not sure if it surprised me in a way that I consider positive. No spoilers, let’s just say that the way the romances ended up had me going “hmmmm”. I guess that at the end of the day I didn’t think that any of the characters had any kind of romantic chemistry at all, so I probably would have felt kind of meh about it regardless of how it turned out. At least this didn’t go down the obvious route.

There’s something about the resolution of the plot that left me not quite able to suspend my disbelief as much as I’d like. Not sure why, because logically I think everything makes sense.

I don’t want to say I didn’t enjoy this because I liked it. It was a likeable conclusion to a likeable series that I’ll remember nothing about in about 6 months. Average.

This book is about Noa and Peter. They are running from P&D because whenever they find a place to stay the next day P&D always finds them. Noa and Peter are carrying around hard drives which hold they keys to getting into P&D project. P&I'd have so much money that every day they send people to hunt down Noa and no matter what Noa does they Always seem to find her. If you like this book I would recommend the Michel bay series by Richard Paul Evans.

I stand by my initial read/ reaction which was, "Perfect! Just perfect!!" Because of so many things, this is my favorite of the trilogy and Gagnon is a talented, talented genius.

This is a MUST READ for YA thriller fans!

I liked the pace of it but I was sad that some characters pretty much disappeared at the end. I liked how even though the kids were only high school sophomores (Daisy and Teo), they were always thinking. I guess I could say that I hoped for a different ending and I would have liked to know about Mason.

Otherwise everything wrapped up pretty nicely and there was enough left for another book.

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hey !

This series tells the story of kids trying to take down a corrupt organization. And while I loved the first two books in the Persefone series, this book ended with less satisfaction. I was torn between 3 and 3.5 for a rating. The story started off with lots of actions and took surprise tuns I hadn't expected and I was wondering if Noa was going to end up with Peter in the end after all. The safe house and turn of events with Ray and Monica and Zeke were riveting. And the growing relationship between Theo and Daisy two kids they'd rescued from one of the centers was a sweet touch. I'm a big fan of the way this story switches viewpoints and zooms in on characters, yet not overloading readers with way too many to keep track of. Overall after reading it, I felt let down. It's easy to say I've would have gone with a diferent ending though when I'm just a reader.

Overall this book is quite a good ending to the series, but due to medical inaccuracies I decided to only give it only three stars. Some important things to note:
- Prions are pathological. I can't think of any reason why anyone would add prions to any product, since it causes disease in both people and animals. The idea that something in the shampoo increased the dopamine levels in the brain and therefore makes people like it more is definitely creative, but it's not properly substantiated, and I see no way in which prions could turn proteins into dopamine.
- You could in theory put a piece of a mouse's thymus in a human body, but there's no way that it will function like a proper thymus in there. If it's implanted in a healthy person, the immune system will notice there is unfamiliar tissue present and it will destroy it.
- A very important part of the maturation of t-lymphocytes in the thymus is killing all the cells that will attack familiar tissue once the cell is fully grown. If you'd implant someone else's thymus in a person, AND it is not attacked by the immune system, AND it starts to play a part in this person's immune system, there will very likely be multiple t-lymphocytes that will attack familiar tissue, which results in disease. It would probably do more harm than good. Besides that, the thymus isn't the only important component of the immune system. It's mainly important in the development and the early years after birth, but doesn't play that much of a role in later life (after puberty). Around the age of 15, the human thymus shrinks under influence of sex hormones. There's quite a big chance there isn't much left of Noa's own thymus to begin with, and if there is, it will soon be not much more than a tiny little bit of tissue filled with adipocytes. Naturally, same would go for the implanted thymus.

As Noa's condition worsens, she, Peter, Teo, and Daisy remain on the run, but they can't understand how Pike's men keep finding them no matter where they go. After barely escaping their latest hideout right after they moved in, Peter decides they have to find somewhere safe to decrypt and sift through the data that he stole from the Project Persefone computers. Using his hacking skills, Peter takes them to Colorado to find Loki. Meanwhile, Teo and Daisy begin to wonder if they wouldn't be better on their own.
Don't Let Go ties up all the loose ends by the conclusion of the book. The story of the two protagonists comes to an unexpected resolution, leading to some other surprising twists and turns. The plot of the underdog trying to defeat the big, bad corporation has been done before, but details surrounding this story make it unique. Overall, a very satisfying end to the series.

Really didn't know how I felt about this series with book 1, it was okay but it seemed lacking in something and felt kind of bland. My library finally bought book 2 & 3 and I think they get better as you go on. If you like YA and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo plus...I dunno, something else crime/spy thriller-ish & suspenseful...then you might like these. Also with a handful of angsty teenager mood swings and complicated young adult love, as one would expect from YA. I didn't love them but they were good books. I'd read more by her. I gave this 5 stars because I was happy with the ending and didn't feel like there were tons of loose ends, and it could totally go on to have more sequels but it stands as a trilogy pretty well and I'm not dying for more.

Ok I got really mad about this I know Noa and Zeke are like and couple and all also having Great chemistry but I just didn't like the fact they ended up together. Now with Peter and Amanda in no world shouldve ended up together ( I don't think they do actually more like a bond between them I don't remember well ) but the first 2 books was all about how Peter fell in love with Noa and she loved him in that sense to but they suddenly kissed and it felt like friends?!?! I was upset with that it just felt disappointing Zeke shouldve not ended up with her and just stayed by her side as a best friend leaving their past behind.
