Justin Cooper wasn’t always the straight-laced Holiday Elementary School principal. In his youth, he broke all the rules and enjoyed being the bad Cooper brother. One Christmas Eve night he got a little too rowdy and things changed forever. Now the consequences of that fateful night have come back in full force and the myths of Christmas might be more real than he thought.
Rina Brewer is one of Santa’s elves. Not the tiny cute little toy maker, but the sexy, petite, energy filled bombshell kind. She’s come to Holiday to aid Justin in his new role as Santa’s executive, but as soon as she sees the sexy ex-bad boy, she realizes the job may be more than she bargained for.
As they work together to make this Christmas one to remember, an old foe has come to town to make sure that this holiday is the coldest yet.
Warning: Contains a perky elf who dreams of something more, a Christmas myth who may be a baddie, and a sexy ex-bad boy who craves Christmas cookies…and a certain perky blonde.

Santa’s Executive is book two in the Holiday, Montana series by Carrie Ann Ryan. This is the first book I have read in this series and it was fine to start with book two. I chose this book to add to my Christmas line up because it sounded like a really different sort of paranormal romance Christmas book. In that respect, it really was. As much as I love my paranormal romance, though, for some reason I couldn’t get into it as much as I wanted to. The characters were sweet but I guess I just didn’t get the warm and fuzzies like I wanted to. So I think that is just my own problem.
Justin Cooper is a thirty four year old elementary school principal. He was drawn to teaching at an early age and made the easy transition into administration. He loves working with children. Lately he has been feeling out of sorts, like something is building inside of him.
Rina Brewer is an elf that lives in the North Pole. She is a list checker, keeping data, old and new, straight. Her office is down in the basement at the North Pole. But she’s not happy at all and wants more. Then she runs across Justin’s file and realizes that no one has taken his case so they could explain to him what is happening to him. So she takes it upon herself to travel to Holiday, Montana and to become Justin’s assistant
Rina and Justin’s reaction to each other is surprisingly strong and puzzling. Neither can understand it. But Rina is steadfast that she must keep thing professional between.them. She has to prove to Santa that she can do more than be a list maker.
“Oh no, no, no, no. This couldn’t be happening. The first man to make her think dirty, dirty thoughts that included a lot of mistletoe and red stockings was the man she’d come here to help. This was not going to end well.”
As Rina begins to train Justin and teach him about his special ability and the role he is destined to play, the connection between them grows stronger. But this isn’t really Rina’s job. She left the North Pole to do this on her own. Can she allow herself to fall for Justin and then have to leave him? Could her heart take it?
“Why did he want this woman? Yes, she was beautiful and kind, but he’d never wanted to think about a home with another woman. What was it about Rina, and why was it moving so fast?”
Of course we have to have an evil villain. Jack Frost turns up in Holiday with a plan of his own. And Jack is very strong. He is second to none other than Santa himself. But there is more than ice in Jack’s eyes, it looks more like pure evil.
This was a short, sweet and sexy Christmas romance but it didn’t hold my attention as much as it should have. Still, I’m glad I read it. From now on when ever I see a room full of happy children I will wonder if they are just happy, or maybe if there might be a little bit of Christmas magic at work from one of Santa’s Executives.
Santa's Executive is the second installment of the Holiday, Montana series. The town, itself, actually seems pretty cool. It's interesting that a place called Holiday is a home to so many paranormal beings.
Even though I skipped the first book, for a challenge, I would want to see if things were better character-wise than this one. Oh yes, after meeting Justin and Rina I wasn't really their biggest fan. Justin just annoyed and frustrated me so much. Especially when he said things that rubbed me, and Rina, the wrong way. As for Rina, well the whole insta-whatever was kind of eyeroll worthy.
Then there's the romance. Which, yes, was okay but not a whole lot to go off of after the insta parts. Just kind of wished it was more natural or realistic. Other than that, I liked the villain and the drama that happened throughout the book. I also wanted to know more about the executives working for Santa. I just think that's a pretty cool job.
In the end, I will definitely try to read the first book just to see a guy fall in love with a witch.
This is the story of Justin who finds out that he is going to be working for Santa. Rina is the elf who tells him all about his new job and helps him with his new position. While working together they become more than co workers but there is someone who doesn't like all the developments taking place.
This is a super cute romance with a wonderful twist on some Christmas myths. It is a light, low angst, cute story that is easy to enjoy. I highly recommend to those is the mood for a story with a Christmas theme.
Guess I'm the only one who hated this book. It just seemed to be disjointed and jumped all over the place. The whole plot was beyond ridiculous and seemingly pointless. Though at first I liked Justin Cooper, I really disliked Rina Brewer. I felt the story just rushed too fast into lust and sex. For Pete's sake, Rina's a sheltered elf who's never left the North Pole and suddenly she's in love and having naughty sex. It just didn't ring true.
I like the idea of a town called Holiday where there are a bunch of paranormal characters. That's a fun idea and I'd love to live somewhere like that. The main characters are what dragged this down for me. Justin had a couple lines that were misogynistic that pissed me off. Rina experienced insta-lust and couldn't stop thinking about Justin's body to the point that it was irritating. I'm all for attraction, but being borderline unable to function because you're so overwhelmed with someone you don't even know bugged me.
The story was okay. It's super short so there isn't much time to really develop things as much as I'd prefer. I liked Santa having 'executives' that help spread Christmas cheer and help determine the naughty and nice list. It's a modern take that makes sense.
I feel like I should apologize for not liking this. It feels like I am a Scrooge. But this just did not work for me. However, I believe a lot of people will love the story.
It is hard for me to describe, but a story that includes Santa, elves and teleporting snow globes just did not work for me. It was too hokey. And the bad guy element really irked me. I thought that plot made Santa look like an incompetent idiot.
The relationship was cute and sweet. I was worried this was clean when I started reading. But fear not, it is not!
This is totally safe and for many will be a perfect holiday read! I think I just need to stay away from stories where santas, Easter bunnies and tooth fairies are actual characters.
This book was my first pick of the month, and I have to say, it definitely improved upon the first book, Charmed Spirits! It got me into the Christmas spirit, and also reminded me that Christmas is more than the commercialized holiday that we’re force fed the day after Halloween. It reminded me that the holiday is about caring about your fellow men, and trying to give them a bit of cheer. It didn’t hurt that the romance was super steamy and it was an amusing, enjoyable read. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
Continuing the series of Holiday Montana. The baddies just keep getting more and more menacing. School principal Justin Cooper finds out he has another job lined up for him and a cute little elf to fill him in on all the details. If Carrie Ann Ryan didn't write such hot and kinda dirty stuff I would call this story cute. In par with her other stories it does get a little dark and a very menacing villain who gets a butt whooping. Warning you just may end up craving sugar cookies.
Myths and magic. Elves and Santa. We get to see what was bothering Justin. With help from Rina, Justin gets to love the holidays again and find magic in everyday. Jack Frost lives up to his name and mischief. Santa turns out to be more than we could have imagined.

My Review ~
This is the second book in the Holiday, Montana series. The series is best read in order, so you won't miss anything. However, that being said I've read them out of order. What can I say, I'm a rebel that way.
This series is all about the Cooper brothers and their small, but very magical town of Holiday, Montana. Santa's Executive is Justin's story, and he just happens to be one of Santa's helpers. He has absolutely no clue that when Santa saved his life all those years ago that he became part of Santa's team. Santa's executives are supposed to spread the joy and love of the season within the areas that they are assigned...oh and did I mention it gives Justin a serious sugar cookie obsession? Like he totally gets growly and grumpy over anyone touching his sugar cookies.
Then there is adorable, bubbly Rina the elf..she even has the pointed ears to prove it! She's one of Santa's elves in charge of giving a call to the Executives to make sure they're ready for the season. When she calls Justin and he has no clue what he is, she takes matters into her own hands and becomes his assistant.
I really like the interaction between Justin and Rina. They're extraordinarily cute together, and also seriously HOT! I also seriously love the Cooper brothers in this series, each one of them is super sexy and a great guy in their own way. The entire series is fun, well written, and full of great characters.
I would recommend this book for anyone that enjoys a touch of humor, a bunch of sexy, alpha male brothers, and some hot, steamy sex in their books. ~ Reviewed by Chris

Justin Cooper, former town bad boy, is the respected principal of the local elementary school and owner of the small town of Holiday, Montana's General Store. He has a busy life and no time to put up with giggling women. All he wants is some peace and quiet. Oh yeah and lots of sugar cookies. He loves his brothers and can't understand why he wants to punch them when they show up unannounced and begin eating his sugar cookies. His life is about to become even more intense when Rina Brewer calls him to remind him of his duties as a Santa Executive. Thinking it a prank call Justin Hangs up on her.
Rina doesn't understand how Justin fell through the cracks, but as she is unhappy in her job she decides to go on a road trip and bring Justin up to speed. By the way did I mention that Rina is an elf and uses a snow globe to travel to Holiday? With only a month to teach Justin all he needs to know she knows she has no time to waste. Explaining to Justin and his family how Holiday got its name and explaining that elves are not the only magical creatures to be drawn to this special town and trying to thwart her immediate boss who is out to make sure she fails Rina begins to feel she may have taken on more than she can handle. Then Santa calls looking for his missing elf....
Funny with a touch of drama with a hole lot of romance, Santa's Executive will keep you immersed in the book to the exclusion of everything else going on around you. And why not you should read the descriptions of the Cooper brothers. I started the Holiday, Montana series with Charmed Spirits and could not wait to read the next book in the series. This could be enjoyed by itself, but is so much better read in order of the series. Brief backgrounds are given to explain the scenes from book 1, but you get a greater appreciation if you read this series in order. Look for Book 3 Finding Abigail, it is now available for reading and you will not want to leave Holiday any time soon. Carrie Ann Ryan has built an wonderful town, not perfect, but charming and you will want to visit it often.
Carrie Ann Ryan did it again. Created a great story with witty, sexy and charismatic characters that will keep you wanting more! Though part of the "Holiday, Montana" series, "Santa's Executive" can be read as a stand alone book. However, why would you want to. The first book "Charmed Spirits" was fantastic and "Santa's Executive" continues the trend!
Its the holiday season and everyone is getting reading. Turns out Justin is preparing by baking Christmas cookies. Lots and lots of yummy Christmas cookies. He can't figure out where this recent craving for Christmas cookies came from until a sexy and way to adorable elf shows up on his front porch.
Rina isn't happy with her current job. She wants more out of life and knows she is more than capable to be an assistant When she realized that one of Santa's Executive has not only not been trained but hasn't been told at all of his responsibilities, Rina takes it upon herself to ensure Christmas isn't ruined.
There's that needed tension between Justin and Rina that makes for great chemistry and yummy steamy scenes. Will say that it seemed like Carrie Ann held back some of the steaminess compared to her previous book, but then again, being its a Christmas themed story, I don't blame her. Still steamy enough for all you to enjoy.
I couldn't wait for the next installment in the series and was not disappointed. Carrie Ann does a fantastic job in creating the world and characters of Holiday, Montana. We did get a glimpse of some of the other characters from the previous book and was glad to learn more about this particular Cooper brother! Oh, and there are several moments where I was lol! Love the humor in this series! All I'm going to say is I have a new curse word "Peppermint Balls"!! Brilliant! You'll see what I mean if you haven't read the the book (uhm, you have gotten it at least, right?) yet and for those that have, am I right?
An adorable Christmas read to put you into the holiday spirits!
Anna is a filer. In her job she files old list. She does not like her job. She has been keeping track and watching how others deal with the executives of the business. She knows she can do the job. She sees one executive who has not been told what his job is and does not have a assistant. She could sneak away, no one would miss her. That is her plan, go while no one is looking and help this executive. Did I mention Anna is a elf,. she works for Santa. She knows that Justine, in Holiday, Montana, has no clue that he is an executive of Santa's. So Anna decides she is going to prove she can do the job. Justin, one the Cooper brothers, has been having issues. He is craving sugar cookies like no bodies business and feels like something is different. So on Thanksgiving day, while at his brothers house, a woman comes to the door. Justine opens the door to a beautiful short (about 5') woman, and for some reason he knows there is something different about her. Now Anna much first prove who she is, show him how to do his job and some how resist his charms. The two hit it off right away but Anna's boss comes to Holiday, Jack comes to see what Anna has been up to. Will Justin be able to control his new powers or his lust for Anna? What will a jealous boss do to Anna and Justin and will it ruin Christmas?
This was a very cute book. Loved the characters. Justin is just a sweet guy (not just from all the cookies) hehehe. Anna is a girl who wants a new job and knows she can do the one she wants. Falling for Justin is just a happy outcome. The book revolves around the 2 characters and we get a little taste of characters to come and some we meet in book 1. A wonderful, exciting Christmas story, with a little sexy thrown in. Although not my favorite book by Carrie Ann, I defiantly enjoyed it!

The second book in the Holiday Montana series continues to capture the imagination and captivate the reader.
Justin is the straight laced school principal, but he wasn’t always that way and now must deal with the consequences of a past action that he doesn’t really remember. Rina is not happy with her current job situation and arrives to help Justin, hoping to impress her boss, only she doesn’t count on her being attracted to Justin. And then her boss comes to town causing some major trouble.
The story is intriguing with its mix of holiday cheer, romance, suspense and achievement. The author conveys all the emotions and mystery in a way that will keep the reader entertained from beginning to end.
The author has created a unique and fascinating paranormal town that is intriguing and enchanting. The bewitching characters and cute, fun romance leaves the reader with a warm hearted feeling and wanting more.
We learn more about this wonderful paranormal town and this interesting concept of the holiday myths is fascinating. I loved some of her fun and quirky dialogue that added a fun depth to this fascinating tale and I really wish the story hadn’t ended so soon. I can’t wait to read more in this awesome series.
Santa’s Executive is book two in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Holiday, Montana series. In Santa’s Executive we get to meet Justin Cooper. The reformed bad-boy of the Cooper Clan turned elementary school principal. Justin finds himself at a bit of a crossroads with the upcoming holiday season. Justin is unsure why or what is happening to him and after the events that happened to his baby brother Matt, Justin is a little freaked out.
When the very cute and bubble Rina shows up at Justin’s door spinning tales of Santa and his new job, he is both taken aback and drawn to this woman. Justin agrees to sit down and listen to what Rina has to say even if he doesn’t want to believe.
I enjoyed this story. I really liked Justin & Rina as a couple. But there were a few holes in the story for me. I few things that while they were not huge or would likely change the story they still bugged me a little. Maybe it was just me. Maybe I was not in the Christmas spirit I am not sure. But I did enjoy the story and I am looking forward to the next installment in Carrie Ann’s Holiday, Montana series
Justin Cooper is the elementary school principal in Holiday, Montana and unknown to him; he is also one of Santa’s executives. Years ago in his teenage youth, he was the bad boy and broke the rules, but after one Christmas Eve, his life changed. Rina Brewer is an elf, one of Santa’s, she is not completely happy with her job she wants to do more, wants to help executives. So one night when she is calling the executives to talk about the upcoming holiday season and what job they had to do, she called Justin and after he hung up on her. She realized he did not know a thing about being one of Santa’s executive, so she decides it up to her to go down there and help him with being Santa’s executive, even though it is not her job. As they work together to make this Christmas a special one, a malicious old foe tries to counter their efforts with coldness. As it draws nearer to Christmas, they have a last stand with their foe and they make sure they are nice and toasty together instead of frozen.
I liked this. It was great and happy. Love the humor, sex, and romance. I can’t wait for more.
What a stinkin' fun holiday story. I love to read Christmas stories and this one was so very different from the others I have read. The idea of Justin being Santa's Executive was fascinating and having his love be an elf added all sorts of whimsy. Of course there are the cookies. You can not have someone working for Santa who does not love cookies. Justin was my favorite brother, so that only made this book all the more magical.
Ok so here are the things I am sure you want to know:
Yes, Carrie Ann made sure to include the heat. No the elf is not a little itty bitty teeny tiny creature. She is humanesque. Yes, there is a big bad and boy is he bad. Yes, Justin is just as swoon worthy as you imagined he would be in book one. No, you do not need to read book one to get full enjoyment out of this book. Yes, book one is worth reading either which way. Yes, you should be 18 before you read this. No, it is fine to read this book even if it is July. There is no "It must be Christmas Time" rule.
Justin learns to use his magic to be Santa's helper
This was Justin's story. He is the principal at the school. He loves working with the kids but for some reason, even though it is almost Thanksgiving, he is not feeling very festive. He feels lonely. And he has developed a craving for sugar cookies constantly. Rina is an elf at the North Pole. Her job is organizing the lists and making sure that Santa's executives are doing okay. When she calls Justin, she realizes that he knows nothing about it. She is not an assistant, because those are all male, but she goes to Holiday, Montana anyway to help out. The antagonist in this story is Jack Frost. He hates Rina and tries to make Justin fail at his job. He has an ulterior motive for trying to harm children and get rid of Justin and Rina. I like that more information is brought forth about the town. I am looking forward to reading how the rest of the Cooper brothers find their mates.
Justin Cooper is the elementary school principal and the closer that it gets to Christmas, the more he wants sugar cookies and all things 'Christmassy'. Then he receives a phone call from a woman claiming to be an elf and telling him that he's one of Santa's executives...wonder what she's been smoking, right? Rina is one of Santa's elves and can't understand why Justin did not believe her...so she decides to run away from the North Pole and meet Justin...she's tired of being a 'basement' elf. When Justin meets Rina, she reminds him of a time during his childhood when he almost died and Santa saved him...as part of his debt to Santa, he became an 'executive'. A human who is gifted with the Christmas magic and responsible for spreading holiday cheer. All should be wonderful, right? Let's just say that not everyone at the North Pole wants Justin to come into his magic powers. Great story with cameos from the other Cooper brothers.
Justin is the principal of an elementary school in Holiday and lately he’s been feeling sluggish but seems to constantly crave sugar cookies. When a elf by the name of Rina contacts him to tell him he’s Santa’s executive, he hangs up on her. When she shows up a few days later, they are both instantly attracted to each other. But someone has let Justin fall through the cracks and not informed him of his job....but Rina’s there to help!
As they get to know each other and Rina helps Justin with his new job and powers....a new danger lurks.
A very good story and enjoyed this new spin on Santa’s helpers😀 Currently finishing the Holiday, Montana box set which is where i read this book!
I LOVE xmas stories - gobble them up like nobodies business - and store up on them in December so I've enough to last me through the year, hence me reading this out of the wintery season.
I heartily enjoyed Santa's Executive. Not only was it a seriously sweet (from cookies) and cute read, Carrie Ann brought the heat, too. Heat is even sexier in snowy settings, don't ya think? A swoon-a-lcious hero, tasty xmas treats, and a cute yet heartfelt romance makes this a five star Christmas read for me! Oh, and I hadn't read previous books in the series and still really loved it, proving it can be read as a stand alone should you wish to. But... now I want to read book one ;)
There is not a Carrie Ann Ryan book that I have read that I have not loved!!! This is the second book in the series, it's about Justin and Rina and I love all the funny one liners, sexiness, and bad boy that is in this book. There are sexy elves, Jack Frost and Christmas magic as well. Rina is there to help Justin make this the best Christmas ever but someone from his past is there to foil them every step of the way. It is paranormal romance but not the typical paranormal that you're expecting. Justin is going to be working for Santa and Rina is there to help him with the job. Can be read as stand alone.
Santa’s Executive (Holiday Montana Book 2) By Carrie Ann Ryan
ARC for review.
My thoughts:
Who wouldn’t wanna be one of Santa’s Executives? Justin Cooper is a former Holiday bad boy. He is now the respected principle of the Holiday Elementary School who happens to love Christmas cookies. Rina Brewer goes to Holiday looking for Justin. He has a job to do and he doesn’t even know it. Things heat up when Justin and Rina get together and it isn’t just from the cookies baking. I really liked this book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a great romance involving cookies.

carrie ann does it again, with the christmas holiday upon us Holiday , Montana is once again a mecca of paranormal activity. this time justin cooper princpal of the local school and former bad boy finds himself wondering what is up with his sugar cookies. rina sexy elf from north pole comes across his name as not being informed about his duties, so she decides she must help him out. neither expected to deal with what happens once they meet. will the former bad boy be reformed. i can't wait till next holiday to see what else is in store for this little town.
Justin has been feeling out of sorts lately and things in the small town may not be what he thought it was...
Oh, Peppermint Balls (those who read the book know...), this was a great book to read. One that was hard to put down once I began to read it.
The chemistry between the main to characters was interesting to say the least. The storyline was different and unique. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this intriguing and great series that is a solid five star read by Carrie Ann.
I loved this story! So much I will reread it come Christmas. Rina is one of Santa's elves but she is unhappy with her job. Taking matters into her own hands she put herself into the job as Justin's assistant. The snow globe transport is genius. Justin doesn't know he is one of Santa's executives. Rina's boss arrives to wreak havoc. Bah humbug for Jack Frost. This story is unique, hot and sweet. It was a joy to read. Here I have to leave the disclaimer that I received a copy of this book from the author. I freely leave this honest review.
This is book 2 in the Holiday, Montana series. It covers high school principal Justin Cooper and Rina Brewer-one of Santa's elves! Justin is a reformed bad boy who loves dealing with kids on a daily basis. He just never realized he was an executive for Santa! Rina goes to try to help him learn his job and is attracted to him even though she knows it's wrong. And then you throw the bad guy in there! I loved it! There were twists and turns and just a different take on the whole myth of Santa Clause! And Rina is just funny and sweet, she made me laugh so much! Great read!
