Nate McKenna could give a shit about the no fraternizing policy. He wants Jules and he'll have her. The rules could bend around them, or be damned. He's not a man to be taken lightly, and Jules Montgomery is about to find out just how he responds to being pushed aside after the best night of sex he's ever had. Loved this book! I think I am a bit obsessed with Nate now! The first book in the series was good, but this was even better!

In Come Away with me, we meet Jules, Natalie’s fun and spunky roommate. Jules is the baby of the family with 4 older brothers, who taught her how to kick ass. She is loyal, loving and a career woman. When she meets Nate at work, they are both so attracted to each other. After working together for a while, after a work dinner- something happens. Problem... their work has a strict no frat policy. And Nate is her boss. She stays away from Nate for about 8 months and Nate can’t take it any longer. He makes Jules an offer she can’t refuse... one weekend together with Nate to explore what they have, no strings attached.

Now that we have a little bit of the story, I can gush about all things NATE. What a delicious man! He is at the top of my book boyfriend list, which is already ridiculously long! Dark long hair, gray eyes, tattoos and piercings, an MMA fighter, but a professional business man when he needs to be... what is not to love about this guy? He is sweet and romantic, but also alpha male and dominant. And the pantie ripping... ah don’t get me started on that!

I love Nate and Jules’ relationship. There was a little more conflict in this one, but I think it brought more to the story. This book kept me smiling from the very beginning! The epilogue... from Nate's pov... fanfreakingtastic!!! It was nice to see all the characters from the first book in there too(Especially Nat and Luke)! I’m excited for the next in the series, loved Will (although it will be seriously difficult to top Nate) Looking for a fun, romantic and super hot read??? Pick this one up asap!

Now to the fun part... some of my favorite quotes:

I love erotic contemporary especially when they are well written and the characters can resonate with you after finishing for days on end...Oh I enjoy those.

And in Fight With Me, the blurb promised me some good times. An ex-UFC fighter that's tattooed and the owner of a remarkable Apadravya (I have an affinity for them) And the heroine? She's working with the hero but their "job" (I'll get to my skepticism of the "job" later) has a no fraternization policy. Oh! And the heroine is a former Playboy centerfold/bunny with a potty mouth. (I do love dirty mouths too.)

This seemed like a recipe for my delight, it really did. And the prologue jumped right into action and it was hot.

Then...

Chapter 1 happened...

description

And then the rest of the chapters pretty much were rinse, wash and repeat of the same basic sex scene, sprinkle the same vapid words here and there.

The reason why I couldn't connect? The short answer is the main characters were too perfect and one dimensional. The heroine, Julianne, is a centerfold, is supposedly smart (though none of her actions backed up that ludicrous claim - you can't hide her from being TSTL just by saying she's intelligent when every man in her life thinks for her. Shame on you), is the best ass kicker, curses like a fourth rate sailor (her words du jour: fuck and shit - no originality), is sporty - she can do the most exercises you've ever thought of seeing, name drops designer wear like it's going out of style (news flash: it is), is so beautiful (I know it's been beaten down my throat by Jules and Nate alike that I'm gagging her beauty), and is just the best at everything.

If you don't get it yet...

description

Just insert Jules' face.

Unfortunately, I am not on the two person team of #TeamJules (Jules is the president and founder, Nate being the vice president)

(Flaws are okay, there's no way someone could be so perfect. I mean the friend gives birth and her body comes back to being perfect. And the newborn baby, doesn't make a peep- she's perfect too. Gag)

I'm not going to break down the issues with the silly conflicts because the only person who fell for them was Jules, the resident genius. And I'm sorry but the heroine posed for Playboy THREE TIMES...so why is she worried about fraternizing with her boss? Shouldn't she worry about her company getting their hands on her pics? No. I know she's too smart for that. And her job? What was it exactly?

description

Who cares?

Nate, the boss of their "job" he was okay...I kind of thought he was a dick and not the good one. (His Apa couldn't save him, sadly.)

His and Jules' dialogue? Meh. It was a lot of the same foolish mumblings. "In. Me. Now" or "You're so tight" or "Fuck" or "Oh"

Also I think the first POV from Jules for the entire story kind of killed any hope of me liking it. When the epilogue from Nate's POV came along, it was too little too late. I love first POV stories but this one was just bleh. It was pretty much the same crap over and over. And if this "intelligent" creature couldn't get it, why should I try?

Words I won't mind reading for awhile:Fuck, you're so tight, baby, holy shit and oh! If you adore those words...this story will be a match made in heaven because it's saturated with them.

So was this story close to being realistic for me?

description

Will I read more from this author? Mmm...it's a safe bet on probably not in the next couple of months...years...decades.

We'll see if I'm in a masochistic mood in the future, then...maybe?

ETA: Nope, I am not going to give this series another try.

“What are you going to do with me?” I ask against his lips.

“I’m going to take a shower with you, and then I’m going to tie you to my bed and fuck you.”

This book is the perfect blend of sweet and sexy. Take my word for it, if you’re looking for a truly perfect HEA; you’re going to be doing somersaults over this book!

It starts out with a bang with one hell of sexy prologue, and then it develops into something that leaves you panting the entire way through.

Jules Montgomery

Sassy.
Smart.
Independent.

Jules was a bit of a wild child growing up as the only girl with three older brothers. She lived her life in her early twenties as a playboy bunny, posing for the magazine’s centerfold.

But she put that all behind her the day she decided to finally grow up and changed from being sexy and sinful to beautiful and independent.

Light blonde hair, legs for days, and a sassy “don’t fuck with me, dude” attitude, Jules is successful in the new office she works at. Her brilliance and professionalism promise to have her climbing the status ladder fast, and soon she's working for man who’s dangerous, sinful, intelligent, and determined.

Nate McKenna

 photo tumblr_lok55vz87r1qaze9to1_500.jpg

Long, dark hair.
Gun metal eyes.
Thieving hands.
And a criminal smile.

This is everything Nate McKenna, Jules’ boss.

And he wanted her the moment he saw her in his office.

But with a tight no-fraternization policy, he didn’t want to complicate things. So he became the epitome of profession offering her nothing but architected smiles and hard glares.

Until the night all of that went up in flames. He made a mistake.

He touched her.

 photo d57c52de4ffa5238784e2fd885a6cb26.jpg

And he will do it again.

“I want you,” I murmur. Nate growls and suddenly I’m on my back on the couch and he’s hovering over me. “I never stop wanting you,” he responds.

 photo tumblr_lqnd455Z1m1qi8mw9o1_500.jpg

Until the fierce Jules realizes that she belongs to only one man.

Him.

Well, I think Kristen Proby may just have struck gold with this one. I DEVOURED this – Jules & Nate are absolutely my most favourite couple in the With Me In Seattle series to date and Nate, beyond doubt, the most sexy hero.

It’s classic erotic romance – lots of seriously hot sex scenes with a soul-deep romance. It’s not without angst as Jules is constantly running from Nate when things get complicated and Nate will not let her go.

“You are so sweet,” he murmurs. “You’re mine, do you understand? No matter what happens. You. Are. Mine.”

This is sexy as hell and and Nate is just a hero to die for. He knows exactly what he wants and that is Jules, he’s bided his time but he’s not about to wait any longer and their first weekend is seriously pantie-melting hot.

“I’m sleeping with you tonight,” I whisper.

“Thank Christ,” he whispers back.

Nate is such a great character and he’s my favourite of the series so far. First impressions show him as a handsome man in a sharp suit with his inky-black hair drawn back into a pony-tail at the nape of his neck but he has some very sexy tattoos hidden beneath that very professional exterior. He has other personal adornments too but to show you a picture would probably cause Goodreads to self-combust!!

Photobucket

Just look into those soulful eyes and you get a little taste of Nate. He cares deeply for Julianne and is terrified that he can’t hold onto her. She is everything to him and he is not going to let her go without a fight and their path to true happiness is going to be a tough one as they have a ‘no fraternisation’ policy where they both work so their relationship must remain a secret from their colleagues. He’s very protective, caring, romantic and a little bit dominant and I just couldn’t get enough of him. Thankfully, this is true erotic romance and the delicious sex scenes come thick and fast.
I really liked Jules – she’s a tough cookie. She’s worked hard to get where she is and is now terrified that her relationship with Nate could destroy her career but her growing and very deep feelings for him mean that she is prepared to take that risk. She’s a lucky girl as Nate is so very romantic and I got mad at her every time she hurt him, inadvertent or not.
I found myself willing these two to find a happy equilibrium, to find that essential ingredient that was going to make their relationship work and make it permanent.

“I won’t give up on us,” he whispers in my ear and I feel tears prick my eyes again.

Where did I find this beautiful man? And how did I resist him for so long?

I read this whole book with a big, ole goofy grin on my face – I loved every second. Right from the very first chapter, I was in love with Nate. He’s so sexy, he’s waited for Julianne for so long but he just can’t wait any longer and decides an intervention is in order and how delicious is that intervention??

I think what I loved most about Nate was the way that he loved Jules. He completely adored her and would move heaven and earth so that they could be together. He’s absolutely besotted and, as a reader, I walked in Jules’ shoes for a while and basked in the glow of Nate’s affections. It was a wonderful place to be! Le sigh!!

It’s great to catch up with Luke & Nat and Jules’ family who have a whole collection of heroes in waiting!! Jules’ brother Will is up next in Play With Me, scheduled for a March release – can’t wait!

Nate is sexy...can I leave it at that? Cuz that's the best part :D:D When he rolls his sleeves up and we first get an inkling of the bad boy behind the suit...

I'm going to make is short n sweet...err, maybe not so sweet. I still had some big hangups with this book, mostly similar to my feelings for the first book. Though I did like this one better, I think I'm likely done with this series. The author's writing and I don't get along.

I have sexual hangups in a major way in regards to this book. I mean, I can't even label this erotic romance, which I guess is what I thought I was getting. This is just contemporary romance with a ton of sex scenes, none of them very explicit. How erotic can you get in a couple of paragraphs? Now, my grump about this could possibly be all my fault due to my preconceived notions. There are TOO MANY SHORT SEX SCENES. I hate to say this, but SOMETIMES it's okay to fade to black, or simply allude to a quickie boink than to go ahead and spell it out in two paragraphs. Seriously...same as book one, most of these sex scenes were over and done...foreplay to the five pump chump finish...in less than a page to a page and a half. What's the point, I ask? I wasn't turned on...okay, I admit to ONE smexy times that got to me. But the rest...nah. Pretty bland.

One thing that so far seems to be the norm for this author is how quickly her protagonists get together. By page forty, they were "in a relationship". So there was a TON of opportunity and page time for them to engage int the multitudes of one page sex. This also left ample opportunity for them to fight and make up, break up and make up, piss each other off and make up...you get the idea.

Now, I did like this book better than book one. Nate is a great guy, seriously. He's a little possessive (which I love), he's a LOT sexy...tattoos and business suits...YUMMMMMM!!!

This is an angsty series. If you like angst and drama, you'll love this series. Most of my friends do. But it's not for me and I'll bow out now, and leave it to the lovers!!

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Oh holy Nate's intensity! SO. HOT. That man is giving Hawk Delgado a run for his money as my book husband and THAT is saying something!

Jules and Nate's chemistry literally jumps out of your e-reader and I spent the entire time fanning myself, swooning, choking up...and can we go back to fanning myself?

What I love about Kristen Proby's writing is that she makes you feel everything her character's are feeling and I found myself so caught up in Jules and Nate's secret affair right from the prologue *which, by the way, best prologue ever* that I pouted for a good hour when we had to leave to do errands half way through the book. I didn't want to stop, couldn't get enough and was seriously bummed when the book ended.

I loved Jules, she was strong and independent, which is refreshing in a heroine...but not to a fault, thank God. She trusted and loved Nate enough that she willingly gave herself over to him and let him take control of their relationship.

And Nate...what's not to love about Nate? He's the definition of intense and raw, masculine power. And yet, he is incredibly sweet. Lethal combination...and Jules comes first for him in everything. I'm about to be super vague because I don't want to spoil the awesomness that is this next bit...but. There's a certain part in the book where we get to see that intensity and power at it's peak and somehow the entire time he is fully in control of himself and making sure he's taking care of Jules first...and let me say...that entire scene and the one directly following it will have you asking your boyfriend/husband to PLEASE be Nate McKenna - at least for the night.

I'm so rambling...I'm sorry! I just finished this book and am still worked up by it, and had to write about it now while I still felt this way.

In short and without ramble: HOT. SWEET. AMAZING READ.

This book was incredible, definitely my favorite from the With Me in Seattle series so far and I can't wait to see where Kristen takes the next book.

★★★★! Fight With Me, book 2 (stand-alone). Boss-employee romance with a sexy, rich, complex & determined Nate in vigilant pursuit of the one girl he shouldn’t want!

“I just had to have the most mind-blowingly fantastic sex of my life with the one man in the world that I just can’t have.”

This is the stand-alone book 2 in the With me in Seattle series. Books can be read separately, but to get most out of series I recommend reading together and in order as previous and future main characters re-appear throughout.

Fight with me is Nate’s and Julianne’s story. They have worked together for some time and have a great professional relationship with mutual respect. They also share a secret, eight months prior to the opening of the story they shared a night of wild, passionate and unforgettable sex. In the aftermath they have both tried to move on as if nothing happened, or at least so it appeared to Julianne. Nate has no such ideas. Despite their companies’ strict no-fraternization policy he is determined to make Julianne his, no matter the price.
“And then you came into my life, and you just blindsided me. I am so fucking wrapped up in you I can’t see straight…”

Follow them as they get to know each, enjoying frequent and mind-blowing sex:
“You needed it rough, but I need this.” He laces my fingers in his and brings both of our hands above my head, and starts to move inside me again, slowly, pulling all the way out and pushing all the way in again in a slow, easy pace.”

All while under constant threat of discovery, forced to deal with vindictive villains (past and present) and being scrutinized by family and friends. Strap on your seatbelts for this rather bumpy ride!

Five words to describe Julianne Montgomery, Jules: Beautiful, loving, nurturing, smart and feisty.

I might have wished that Jules wasn’t quite so perfect, almost too perfect, with her little petite body being able to spar and outdo a man double her size and so forth. But nothing that should deter you from reading their story.

Nate McKenna has much to offer as a hero. Look-wise he is the tall, dark, grey-eyed and very handsome hero with a successful career and wealth to spare.
“He’s so much more than I ever realized. He’s the controlled business man, the playful bad-boy, and he’s just so… sweet.”

Add to that his background as a UFC fighter and the body, tattoos and piercing to go with that:
“So, my conservative-looking, suit-wearing boss has a tattoo and has his penis pierced?” I ask with a smile.
Nate laughs and takes another pull on his beer. “Yes. You didn’t seem to mind the piercing, if memory serves correctly.”

Five words to describe Nate: Handsome, sexy, successful, determined and intense.

With the With me in Seattle Ms. Proby has created a series with many interesting and wonderful characters. As mentioned before it is best enjoyed if read together. I, in particular, look forward to reading Jules’ elder brother and famous football star, Will’s story, Play with Me (book 3).

I was looking for a book that would be a light read and this one was a perfect one. Not a crazy amount of angst but enough to keep you interested. I really enjoyed it.

Jules Montgomery is attracted to her boss Nate McKenna. The problem is, nothing can ever happen because of the no-fraternization policy. But it did, a year ago. They had a one-night stand and after Jules leaves his apartment, they have been professional with each other ever since. Nate no longer wants to be professional, he wants more and for a lot longer than one night. He wants her any way he can get her. He just needs to convince her to take a chance.

Jules Montgomery was an independent sassy woman. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to work hard to get it. She is confident and intelligent. I really liked her. She never overwhelmed me with her attitude. In fact, I liked how comfortable she was in her own skin. She knows she is beautiful but doesn't act conceited because of it. She had a good balance of sexy badass and feminine chic going on. I loved how determined she was to keep her independence and work hard at her office job. She also is tough and can take care of herself, VERY well. Did she ever annoy me? Yeah, a few times. There were moments she seemed to run away from her problems rather than face them which was a bit frustrating. She could at times be a bit stubborn too. But overall, she was a great character.

Now Nate McKenna is one huge ass sexy HOTTIE!! Boy, did this man melt my panties. He was an alpha and protective. He had tattoos and a pierced cock. He was UBER sexy! He was also really intelligent and dedicated to his work. He is a bit of a bad boy with a dirty mouth but SO freaking sweet and romantic. I wanted to lick him up. I loved how determined he was to make Jules his. The things he would say and do made me absolutely SWOON! BUT... he was not perfect. Nope, he could at times piss me off. He wanted to take care of Jules, which is fine by me, but he could be overbearing at times. He was bossy and also got upset a tad to quickly.

The sex in this book was super sexy without it ever feeling like it was too much sex. We got a story that was really great and some great steamy scenes, a perfect balance. The ending was really great. Like I said, it wasn't so angsty that I wanted to pull my hair out. It had just the right amount in it which was just what I was looking for. It was great to see the characters from the first book appear in this book. I forgot how awesome Natalie and Jules can be when they are together. We were also introduced to Jules' family. The one who got my attention at the moment was her brother Will. I can't wait to read his book. The Epilogue was so freaking sweet. I loved it. Really romantic and completely heart warming. I really enjoyed reading this really good book.

Color me confused and dejected. I gave the first installment of this series a two star review hoping it would improve with Jules' story. Sadly, this was not the case. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the story. Along with excessive word repetition (e.g. "honey," "amazing," "beautiful"), this story lacked any real appeal.

First off, in the first installment (Natalie and Luke's story), the reader is introduced to Jules and Nate together. As a couple, they go out on a double date with Luke and Natalie; Natalie even makes the observation that Nate is totally in love with Jules. However, from the first few pages, this double date is completely discarded.

Not to mention, the book opens with Jules and Nate sleeping together. Then, it skips to eight months later. Jules mentions how she has done almost everything in her power to bring their relationship back to that of employer/employee. Nate's cool professionalism is also made note of. However, in this same chapter, Nate calls Jules into his office a "changed" man intent on pursuing a relationship with her. What?! Furthermore, the two are sharing intimacies (sleeping together, etc.) and having sex within hours of this "confession."

I did not even make it to the halfway point with this book. I couldn't relate to Jules. Felt nothing for Nate. The sex scenes were generally boring and uninspired.

The elements are there for a great story, but no dice. Sadly, this book was nowhere near as good as the first, which I only gave two stars. Unfortunately, this is a series I will not be continuing.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This book was silly. Let me save some of you the trouble of reading it. I think I can sum up the entire plot pretty quickly.

"Oh," I'm thinking to myself, "that was the best sex I've ever had. But he's my gorgeously sexy boss and we have this pesky no-fraternization policy. Let me return to business as usual," flipping my beautiful light blond long hair over my Playboy model centerfold shoulder.

"She's returned to business as usual for the past eight months," flexing his beautiful UFC-trained tattooed arm in frustration. "She's my gorgeously sexy employee. To hell with this pesky no-fraternization policy!"

"He's asking me to spend the weekend with him. My hot boss that I can't keep my eyes off of is asking me to spend the weekend with him. Never mind the fact that we haven't had a personal conversation in months. Oh, what the hell! Screw the pesky no-fraternization policy!"

We have the best sex of my life. My hot gorgeous boss must have gone to school to learn how to be this hot and this gorgeous.

"Oh, honey, you're so beautiful."

"No, honey, you're beautiful," I respond while clicking across the room in my pink Louboutins.

"Did I hurt you, honey? I must have hurt you. I hit you."

"No, honey, you spanked me. You didn't hit me. You spanked me and I liked it ace," I flipped my beautiful blond hair over my shoulder to get a better look at his gorgeous UFC-trained tattooed arm. "Did I ever mention I got to hang out with Heff and the girls at the mansion when I was a Playboy centerfold?"

His eyes go artic before he speaks. "I know you weren't a virgin before we met. You're incredible. But other men have seen your body and I want to put every man in the hospital who's ever fantasized about you."

We ride his sexy motorcycle home.

Today is my birthday. I get six bouquets of flowers from my friends and family. Nate gives me a shop-til-I-drop credit limit at Neiman's, more roses, and diamond stud earrings. We've only been sleeping together, I mean dating, a week!

It's my friend's baby shower and my friends have thrown me a surprise birthday party. I get all sorts of lovely gifts from them but Nate gets me a diamond tennis bracelet. I couldn't love my sexy man any more. I love my life!

There's this bitch at work who says she's sleeping with Nate. She's fake, but I know it and I don't care because I got a phone call from Playboy to do an anniversary edition. I turned it down, of course, but it gave me an idea for a birthday present for Nate because my friend Nat does artistic nude photos. He's going to love his present!

"Oh, ace, honey, you're so wonderful. Please hit the man that hit on me in the bar. I didn't like him when he went all stalker on me years ago. He's not nearly as gorgeous and sweet as you."

"No, honey, you're wonderful. I need to be rough now, I don't want to hurt you. Are you sure I didn't hurt you? You're not wearing shoes. You're so sexy."

It's written in that frustrating first person, present tense POV that FSoG uses. I find it to be incredibly stilted and limiting. We're reduced to reading things only from the main character's point of view and only in present terms, as the action is happening. There's no way to gain any further insight into the characters, the action or anything else that's happening.

Both characters were not well developed. When the author mentions the guy is former UFC I was thinking to myself, well maybe this could be interesting. But nope. Nothing really was done with that worth mentioning. And he has long hair. I like long hair, don't get me wrong, but I'm trying to think of any MMA guys with long hair, even chicks for that matter, and sorry I can't think of any. I would think the hair would be a hindrance, especially since he's still training.

The fact that the chick is a former Playboy model I just rolled my eyes at. I really don't care that she was a nude model. But in this case it just added to the shallowness of both characters. She just couldn't leave her as some moderately normal human being, but had to elevate her to goddess status. *sigh*

I really hated that she called him "ace" too, don't ask me why. It just sounded really stupid to me. On top of that, you would think by like the second or third time she called him that the word would have been elevated to proper noun status, but no. The fact that this name remained in lower-case just added to my annoyance of the term.

I did manage to finish this book and there were some good scenes in it. But the writing style and lack of character development left much to be desired.

This review is for mature readers only!

Fight With Me is the second book in the 'With Me in Seattle' Series by Kristen Proby, and honestly it was so much better than book one. I had very big hopes for it. Luckily, the same words were repeated less times. In book one, it was like the characters were a radio that was constantly on repeat. I think Kristen deserves a little toast for improving her vocabulary. 148559 zps0c8b7a64

Meet the main characters!

Julianne (Jules) Montgomery Isn't she so gorgeous?!

"You take my breath away, Julianne." ~ Nate

"...knowing other men have seen you, fantasized about you, makes me want to put each and every one of them into the hospital, starting with our young waiter. ~Nate

Little synopsis: This is obviously about Jules and Nate, whom we both meet in book one - Come Away With Me. They work together in a firm, where there is a strict policy that co-workers can not be in a relationship, or they will loose their jobs. After one night of passion, they try to fight their attraction to each other. That works out until Nate asks Jules to stay for a weekend at his house. Will the 2 days be enough for them? What will happen to their relationship when someone finally finds out their secret?

"It's only you, Julianne. It will only ever be you." ~Nate

What i thought of Nate?
I think Nate was a very sweet, overprotective and sometimes very bossy man. He is really lovable, but i have a feeling that the only one who will truly capture my heart will be Will. Did i mention that Nate is the kind of HOTT where it's worth to put an extra 'T' at the end? I mean, who doesn't love a guy who used to fight in the ring, has a sexy tattoo, and a motorcycle? I sure as heck do! Though i have to admit, sometimes i seriously wanted to punch him in the face.

Now comes the best part, ya ready for it ladies? The guy has a freaking pierced penis. I think he called it apadravya. When i first heard about it i was like "Holy shit!" faints zps2baf7571

"You're my happy place, baby." ~ Nate

What i thought of Jules?
I liked Jules the moment i met her. She is an easy character to like, and i really felt connected to her in some way. She is funny, has a sassy mouth that i love, and is a strong woman that i adore to read about. I'm so happy that she found her HEA, she deserves it!

"...it's what's gotten me to where i am now. And then you came into my life, and just blindsided me. I am so fucking wrapped up in you i can't see straight, and you tell me i'm a caveman for wanting to protect you..."

I hated Audrey so much, and if you have read the book, you know who i'm talking about Every time she appears in the book i just want to literally claw her freaking eyes out! tumblr m8fvx91h Qz1rciljro1 500 zpscec99422 1

The sex scenes where freaking steamy and i loved them! Though, there were a couple too many.

"I'm going to tie you up and touch you everywhere. Kiss you everywhere. "You." Kiss."Are." Kiss."Mine."

Overall, Fight With Me was an enjoyable read. Much better than book 1, and i am dying right now to read book 3. I only started this series because i wanted to read about Will, so as you can imagine, 'i can't wait for it' is a freaking understatement.

This book was SEX AND CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE….and I like those two things, so of course, I liked this book!

3.5 HOT STARS!!!

Julianne meets Nate and they have a wild night together, but to avoid “the morning talk,” she leaves. But she can’t go far because…..Nate is her boss. So FOR A YEAR, she has to endure the cold, distant Nate, but she loves her job, and she’s a tough cookie so she sticks it out. One day, Nate invites her on a no regrets weekend, and she accepts (because you cannot resist him!), and the rest is history!

I liked this book because it was yummy and the sex was hot!

Nate is irresistible! Literally! Tattoos, a special type of piercing (if you know what I mean – wink), a motorcycle, a fighter….and sweet as aw-hell-get-out! He’s literally perfect.

My Nate:

We this tribal tattoo for young males in pacfic areas also stands out in public..

My Julianne:

These two pictures describe this book perfectly…..YUMMY!!!

This sums up how I feel about this book-
 photo ZFlwweb_zps71178137.gif

The book started off strong. I was really enjoying it and then just past the halfway point it completely lost me. I found myself skimming a lot. It did pick up at the end. If it wasn't for the end this book would've been a 2 star read.

This happened to me with the author's first book, but I decided to give this book a chance. It didn't work out so well. One thing I want to add though is, I wouldn't want my review to deter anyone from reading this story. I think the author's style is just not my cuppa. There are many out there who love the series and you might to.

“I think I’ll have you for dessert, Julianne.”

Prepare to feast your senses and lick your fingers in another luscious story from an author that combines romance and erotica in the most smuttiliciously decadent way. This is the second book in the With Me In Seattle series.

We met Jules in Come Away With Me as Natalie’s smart-mouthed and no-nonsense best friend. She is loyal, independent, strong and a hopeless romance sceptic. Until she meets Nate. He seems to ignite every fibre in her body, shakes her resolve about not needing romance in her life, he is the perfect package in her eyes except… he is also her boss in a company where fraternization among colleagues is not just frowned upon, it is not tolerated at all. But one incredible night of passion leaves Jules scared of what she might be starting to feel for Nate and terrified of rejection. Unwilling to see regret in his eyes the following morning, she flees his bed in the middle of the night, leaving him confused and hurt. They spend the following year pretending like nothing ever happened between them, suppressing their attraction and their craving for one another.

And then Nate makes her an offer she is incapable of refusing – to spend a weekend together, no strings attached, to just get to know each other better and enjoy each other’s company. What follows is quite possibly the hottest set of toe-curling fireworks I have had the pleasure of reading, Jules and Nate not only being a perfect match in bed, but also soul mates in every other way.

“It’s just dinner, Julianne.”
“You’re not looking at me like you just want dinner, Nate.”
He cocks his head to the side and a smile kisses his lips. “How am I looking at you?”
“Like you’d like to f*ck me on this desk.”

Nate pursues her affection relentlessly and hungrily, knowing that she marked his heart from the moment they met. His gentle but irresistible seduction leaves Jules powerless to fight her own feelings for him, slowly falling in love with a man that not only seems to adore her, but would also do anything to make her happy. Nate is protective of her, unashamedly demonstrating a primal need inside him to look after her. For an independent and confident woman that was taught not to need a man to depend on and to always look after herself, Jules struggles to give that control to Nate, but soon realises that she might have been desperately looking for someone to want to protect her all along.

“I’m a badass, but there are times that I need someone to hold me up too, and I didn’t know until I found you that that doesn’t make me weak, it means that I’ve found my partner.”

Nate’s quiet possessiveness is the perfect counterpart to Jules’s struggle for independence. He does not want to change her or clip her wings – he strives to give her a safe place to be the strong self-sufficient woman he fell in love with, but always knowing that he supports everything that she does and everything that she is. His love for her is self-sacrificing and selfless. He’s almost desperate to keep her and not have her want to run away from him again.

“You are mine, do you understand? No matter what happens. You. Are. Mine.”

Jules becomes a different woman with Nate – he makes her flourish emotionally into someone who is no longer afraid of trusting a man with her heart. She lets him in, not only into her heart but also into her life. And into her family. But when you’ve been looking after yourself all your life, believing that someone else might also have your best interest at heart is not always an easy lesson to learn.

In this heart-warmingly romantic but sizzling-hot love story between two characters that complement each other in every possible way, we are shown that needing someone is not a weakness, that love finds even the most wary of hearts, and that trust is a dish best served with a slice of chocolate cheesecake. And an apa.

“I love it when you look at me like this.”
“How am I looking at you?” I whisper and push my fingers into his thick hair…
“Like I’m all you see.” He whispers back to me.
“You are all I see.”

Now I really liked Natalie and Luke from book one but I LOVE Nate and Jules, I think because by attempting a relationship Nate & Jules faced a ton of risks (Nate happens to be Jules boss and their company has a strict no fraternization policy, if things end badly Nate worries about a potential sexual harassment suit and Jules worries about being fired) but they both felt“something” between them and decided the risk was worth it and I’;m glad they did!
Again, Kristen weaves a story that pulled me in from the start and wouldn’t let me put it down until it was over…I couldn't get enough of these two, the way Nate love Jules is just awe inspiring; he truly goes over and above to make sure Jules feels loved and treasured at all times, even when she’s letting fear and doubt make her run away from him, (Men in the real world could really stand to take notes from Nate on how to woo a woman, just sayin) and Jules is one tough cookie in every way and I really do like her but I did get start to get pissy with her at times when she ran from Nate, like this one time she felt Nate threw her under the bus and she just runs away without letting him explain. I wanted to slap her. You do NOT run away from Nate McKenna. EVER!
I can’t lie though, my favoriteeeeee parts between these two is the S-E-X! It’s anytime any place for these two and it’s ALWAYS hot and sexy, especially this one time...on his...that one gets 2 thumbs up (did you think I was gonna tell you? No, that would spoil things lol) The drama and angst level is higher in this book and I <3 it! Will they make it? Will they fall apart? Will they get caught and lose their careers? Gahhhh! Another thing I do like and appreciate us the Kristen also lets catch up and see what’s going on between Natalie and Luke and the rest of the Montgomery family. The Montgomery’s are awesome, Kristen makes me wish I was one of them *hint* *hint* Mrs. Caleb =)

Former MMA Fighter. Tatted up. Pierced (and I ain't talkin bout his ears). Rides a real motorcycle (as opposed to a crotch rocket). Successful executive. Sexy as hell. Skilled in the bedroom. So freaking sweet. Attentive. Giving. Understanding. Alpha. Good with best friends, babies, parents and asshole brothers. He can cook. Great last name (I ain't gonna lie...crappy last names were a deal breaker for me. I do not wanna be Niccohl Booger). Nate McKenna may very well be the prototype for the perfect man.

Yeah, yeah. Nate's supposed to have long, dark hair. Blah, blah. This guy is SO my Nate.

Nate loves Jules. He has no problem telling her.

I love your blue eyes.
I love your laugh.
I love your breasts.
(ok....you can call bullshit here. Most men love breasts).
I love your tight ........ (sooooo not gonna finish that thought....you get the drift).
We were meant to be. I knew it the minute I first saw you.

There's something very sexy about a man who can express his feelings.....

Jules was a kickass heroine. She's beautiful and snarky and a great best friend. I loved her and Nate's banter. The bedroom scenes were plentiful and scorching. Nate is bedroom BOSSY in a very sexy way. Hold. Still. Yes. Sir.

I am looking forward to Meg and Will's story. I am curious as to what Will did to put a knot in her knickers, especially since he doesn't seem to remember her.....

CHEMISTRY ALERT!!
Normally I like a book to take a slower approach to getting to the falling in love part/getting down and dirty, I like my characters to work for it, I like to see some sort of struggle or reason for them to be apart. So what I loved about this book (the blinking mad chemistry and out & out going for it straight away!) is also what disappointed me. (let's have some drawn out tension please!) that been said there was LOTS to like about this book and it took me no time at all to read this steamy, sweet romance.

This book undoubtably had two characters that the author made very likeable, very quickly.

Firstly Jules(probably a favourite female lead in a long time for me) definitely my kind of bird, smart, quick witted, bucket load of personality, feisty and loyal. Then we have Nate ( I love that name) professional good boy suited and booted by day and tattooed, fighter by night, this character most heart stoppingly swept me off my kindle/feet he was bloody well perfect who can not fall head over with this man of writing perfection (not forgetting the boy piercing *blush*).
This series also has great characters behind the romance, family members, friends etc I'm really looking forward to reading about the brothers in future books, the author has a way of making you feel apart of the pages and the banter and relationship between the characters is a major plus for me.

So as books go I enjoyed, blushed, swooned and fell in love right alongside the characters but as a personal preference I do like a bit of tug of war and drawn out tension first, it hit jack pot too quickly and then ran its course at the same pace for me, however it did have heart pumping scenes, great characters, and with added drama as the cherry on the top, the relationship between Nate and Jules was believable and HOT HOT HOT. I'm sure this will be an enjoyable read for most.
4 stars and a trip to google to check out piercings!
Enjoy readers.

Yani bir sahnede Luke'un rahatlığına hayran kaldım. O sahneyi okuyanlar anladı.

”I just fucked my boss.”

This is the second full-length novel in the With Me in Seattle series. We met Jules’ in Come Away With Me and got a slight introduction to her complicated relationship with her boss, Nate. After having a one night stand and running out before the morning, Jules and Nate have kept things strictly work related for the last year or so. Both are damn good at their job and because their company has a zero tolerance no fraternization policy, they’ve had to be professional. Soon Nate takes matters into his own hands and decides he’s sick of hiding his feelings for Jules. He stages a late night “work session” to get her alone and propositions her to spend the weekend with him.
“It’s just dinner, Julianne.”
“You’re not looking at me like you just want dinner, Nate.”
He cocks his head to the side and a smile kisses his lips. “How am I looking at you?”
“Like you’d like to fuck me on this desk.”

Jules has been fighting her attraction to Nate all along as well so of course she takes him up on his offer. It’s not long before panties are being shredded and private piercings are making their appearance. These two cannot keep their hands off each other and there is some major sexy time.
“So, my conservative-looking, suit-wearing boss has a tattoo and has his penis pierced?” I ask with a smile.
Nate laughs and takes another pull on his beer. “Yes. You didn’t seem to mind the piercing, if memory serves correctly.”

I really loved Nate. I loved that he is really smart and kicks ass professionally, but then underneath he’s a bit of a reformed bad boy. My favorite thing about him though is how honest he is with his feelings for Jules. Not only will he tell her sweet things, but also he’ll tell her when he’s hurt and totally gives it to her sometimes when she deserves it. It's not always pretty or what she wants to hear, but I totally loved those moments.
“No one hurts me, Julianne. No one. I don’t give a flying fuck what anyone thinks of me. That’s what got me through fighting, and it’s what’s gotten me to where I am now. And then you came into my life, and you just blindsided me. I am so fucking wrapped up in you I can’t see straight…”

Jules drove me a little crazy at times, but I still liked her. I loved that she’s so independent and strong. She’s incredibly stubborn and isn’t used to talking things over with someone else before making decisions and can sometimes do/say things that she doesn’t exactly mean. I can identify with her in those ways. I think Nate is a perfect match for her because he’s just as stubborn but he’s mature and really knows how to handle Jules.
“I know he’s a strong, intelligent man, and that he wants to protect me and care for me, but I’ve always been so fiercely independent, I forget that I’m no longer a “me” and part of a “we”.”

The story moves quickly, which I’ve noticed of Kristen Proby. It doesn’t take long for her main characters to be completely coupled up, so there’s a lot of time spent with them doing their daily relationship stuff and not a whole lot of build up beforehand. In this case, I was okay with it because it’s what I was expecting and this series has already become a go to for a quick, very steamy, relatively low angst escape type of book. I think I enjoyed this one more than the last, it’s just as steamy but maybe a little less sickly sweet. There’s definitely a lot of sex with not a ton going on, but there are some issues the couple has to ultimately get through a bit of drama toward the end.
“…I love it when you look at me like this.”
“How am I looking at you?”
“Like I’m all you see.”
“You are all I see.”

I’m still loving the family dynamics and it was awesome to get more time with everyone, but especially Jules’ football player brother, Will. It served as a good intro to his book next. I’m totally digging the sibling banter too. It reminds me of my brothers and me and I can really relate to it.
“Maybe you should hear him out.”
“Maybe not.” I shake my head and increase my speed again…
“Maybe…”
“Maybe not, Will. Shut it!” I glare at him, done with the conversation and he rolls his eyes at me.
“Fine, brat. You’re a complete pain in the ass. But if you want me to have him killed, I’m sure I know someone who knows someone.” He grins at me and I find myself grinning back.

I’ve already started book three, Play With Me so I guess it’s safe to say I’m enjoying this series. ;)

This series is pure, romantic escapism!

Book 2 of the With Me in Seattle series focusses on Jules, the feisty best friend of Natalie from Come Away With Me, and my newest book boyfriend, Nate McKenna *swoon*.

Nate and Jules work together, in fact, he is her boss. And after one HOT night together eight months ago, Jules totally freaked out, knowing that their company has a no-fraternization policy and they were both risking their jobs by being together. So she snuck out of Nate’s bed and has done her best to avoid any intimate situations with him since. Nate has now decided he’s had enough of that - *sigh* there’s something so incredibly sexy about a guy who is determined to get his girl, and Nate is one determined guy… And we love him for it! He invites Jules to spend the weekend with him at his house so that they can ‘get to know each other’ better. And, despite her concerns for her job, and because she’s not a complete idiot, she agrees.

And so begins an absolutely gorgeous love story. Nate and Jules have sensational chemistry. Their relationship is intense, and moves fast, but it’s also realistic. There is some great banter, and they communicate openly and honestly. I love how functional they are together, and despite some blips along the way, it’s a beautifully romantic swoonfest. With sex… lots and lots of sex! Damn, Kristen Proby can steam up the pages!

Nate is a gorgeously slick businessman, hiding a tattooed and pierced (yes, he’s pierced!), motorcycle-riding bad boy underneath.

“So, my conservative-looking, suit-wearing boss has a tattoo and has his penis pierced?” I asked with a smile.
Nate laughs and takes another pull on his beer. “Yes. You didn’t seem to mind the piercing, if memory serves correctly.”

He is smart, confident and oh-so sexy, and he’s not afraid to show his feelings, and he has some very deep feelings for lucky Jules! He is essentially, the perfect man – loving, supportive, affectionate and so incredibly romantic, but with an irresistible dirty side. Yep, perfect! I don’t think I can fault any of his behaviour in this book, he’s just amazing. I was in a constant state of swoon for large portions of this book! And Jules is a great heroine. She has a vulnerable side, but she is confident, strong, independent and not afraid to speak her mind. And I just love the way that these two are no-nonsense, straight up and honest with each other about what they want, and they just get on and do it (and they do it lots!).

“You came into my life, and you just blindsided me. I am so fucking wrapped up in you I can’t see straight.”

I really enjoyed getting back into this series, and seeing the extended group of characters again. I love the dynamics between them all, it’s exactly the kind of friendships and family you’d love to have in your life. Natalie and Luke from the first book feature heavily, and Jules’ older brothers are sensational. They're so supportive and protective of their baby sister! Gotta love those Montgomery boys! And Will – OMG, Will!! So excited for his book up next!

There isn’t a major storyline outside of the romance. There are some issues that they need to face together, but it’s all pretty tame, and the outcome is predictable, but I like that. I knew it’s what I would get when I started reading, and it’s the exact reason I picked up the book, so I got exactly what I wanted.

So if you’re after an intelligent, funny, blissfully swoony and steamy romance that is easy to read and pretty much angst-free, get into this series – you won’t be disappointed.

4 swoony stars.

I loved Nate and Jules' story. Although I find it kind of implausible that a guy as hot and together as Nate, would go through all her hoops just to make sure she knew he was interested, I like to think that its possible and I loved the read.

Nate, well what can I say but *Sigh!*. He was just dreamy. He was a businessman, but someone with a darker side who could protect Jules, though she didn't really need him for that. My favorite part of the book was when she told him to knock out her Ex. That made me laugh so hard.

description

When Nate and Jules would start up, all I could do was ride that tingle I got.

I love how strong Jules is and she knows exactly who she is and isn't going to change for anyone. She's been able to take care of herself because of her family and she's loyal in every way.

I thought I was going to be disappointed after reading the novella about Isaac and Stacey, but I wasn't. I thought this book was great and I fell right back into the family dynamic, which I love how Kristen has kept them all involved in the books. How the family has grown and connected and take care for each other.

This was the second installment of this series by Ms. Proby. This time we had Julianne - the youngest Montgomery fall for her boss Nate.

It had a better flow for me than the first so I can see how the series is developing. There were still many issues... it was a little story - than sex. Little bit more story- than sex.

The other issue was all of the label name-dropping. Yes, everyone is loaded. That is fine... I get it. But do I have to hear all of the time all of the stuff you are buying with this unlimited cash? It was pleasant... meant well and the biggest draw is this Montgomery family.

The next book is coming with her brother Will, the Seattle Seahawk's star player.

When I think of Kristen Proby’s reads, I think “light and fluffy”. When I’m in that mood, I know to hit up on her books. I enjoyed Come Away With Me and I’ve been meaning to finish out the With Me in Seattle series, so I was not surprised on how I enjoyed Fight With Me.

4 Stars

It’s book 2 in the series and with new characters. Jules and Nate work together, Nate is Jules’ boss and there’s a strict no fraternization policy

The book starts out with a big bam and STEAM I enjoyed it and it was different from other reads. In this story, the relationship is kind of established in away. We know from Come Away With me, something is off with Jules and she was working on her relationships.

With a guarded heart Jules backs away from Nate and there are our story begins. There’s plenty of tug and pull between the two and in my opinion makes a juicy story. I love forbidden office romances, to me it just screams sexy.

I did have a pet peeve, the author kept on mentioning Nate’s shoulder length hair. I’m a huge stickler for cover models matching the character’s description (but that’s just me). I noted it and tried to ignore it.

It you want something light, fun and sassy, then pick up a Kristen Proby book.

First, I need to say that these are really good books! Kristen Proby sure knows how to create swoon-worthy alpha males!

This second book tells the story of Jules, Natalie’s best friend, and Nate, her boss whose company they work at has a very strict no fraternization between employees rule.
One night they have an amazing one night stand but in the middle of the night, Jules goes away because she can't face him in the morning knowing that what they doing is wrong and that he probably will get rid of her in the morning, anyway.
Eight months pass and although they are very professional with each other during work, they still are irremediably attracted so they start having a secret relationship that will, without a doubt, change their lives completely.

This second book was so much better than the first. There was less drama that what I was expecting (again!) but this time this was kind of a good thing. Just a simple story of boy meets girl, they fell in love and go through some problems in the relationship trying to adapt each other. Well… all that when they are having a hiding relationship, obviously.

Again, I loved the characters, I already loved Jules from the first one and Nate got me since the beginning. He is a hell of a sexy bad boy hiding under a sexy suited up business man. So basically, sexy all the way.
It was good to see more of Natalie and Luke and more of their families. And now, after a certain part where Will (Jules older brother) were extremely sweet I'm really anxious to start the third one.

So, if you like the cute romance with (a lot!) steam, these books are really great for you!

I really wish I could have liked this book more.. but by the last 30% I was just bored. I had so much love for Jules and Nate in the beginning.. Nate was so freaking HOT.. tattoos, very awesome piercings, hot, had a motorcycle.. and Jules beautiful and strong and witty.. their chemistry was great, the storyline was good too.. but eventually I got tired of all the sweetness and repetitiveness.. I had the same problem with the first book in the series. It was just too nice and sweet. Now the sex was hot .. really hot, but still, all the cupcake fluffy niceness just didnt do it for me.. there was finally some drama towards the end but it was still nothing to pull me back into the story. I liked the premises of the story with Nate being Jules's boss and the story really had potential to be very good. It's had a lot of good reviews but it just didnt do it for me...
