An ornery croc discovers he does have a pulse when a hot to trot fox decides to latch on, and never let go. Tongue in cheek humor, sizzling moments and a tiny, evil villain await. A career military man, Viktor lives for the next mission – and his collection of weapons – but a raid on an experimental lab makes him an unwilling protector, mostly because he can’t peel Renee off. A cold blooded croc, he never intended to settle down, but he didn’t count on a foxy lady warming his heart. The world outside the laboratory was a big scary place. Frightened, Renee latches onto the biggest, baddest, and sexiest, warrior around. Sharp toothed and with ice in his veins, Viktor’s violent side should have sent her running, but instead, she finds the courage to face her fears – and tame the lizard. When danger comes knocking, with the intention of turning her FUC protector into a high priced, fashion accessory, will Renee embrace her foxy side and show a croc she’s got what it takes to be his mate? And will they manage to vanquish the tiny evil known as Mastermind?

Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

What's this? I read another one of Langlais's books even after swearing Never Again? Yeah, guilty as charged. All I can say is that a friend found me the entirety of the author's library and saw fit to send it to me, and the masochism drives me ever onward. Croc and the Fox wasn't nearly as bad as Jungle Freakn' Bride, but it still wasn't much fun.

Characters: The heroine? She recovers from years of trauma and dehumanization in a matter of days without even the slightest bump in recovery or sign of actually having been traumatized at all, because sex, guise, she really wants sex and she's sad that she never got raped like the other inmates because srsly guise she wants sex. The hero? He's like, super old guise, because 38 is like practically time to start making assisted living arrangements, also he's supposedly a badass but jk not really, he just likes guns for no apparent reason and also he's rich because...because. The antagonist? A complete joke, who actually literally cartoon laughs "muahahaha" at least twice every time makes an appearance. (Note: I wish I were joking.) Everyone else? Well, they seem pretty unconcerned with the fact that there's supposedly an evil mastermind running around, or even that they have like, practically government jobs in the supernatural world and that means they actually have stuff to do, but it's totally more important to take the heroine shopping.

Plot: I seriously don't even know. I think there may be a social commentary in here about the lengths that people are driven to by the abuses of their youth and the desire for power, and about the prejudice that seeks to tear apart those of different shifting races. But mostly it's just Renee wanting sex really badly for no apparent reason and Viktor's cock bobbing as he thinks about how he's old and cold blooded and jaded and a crocodile and shit. Oh, and the villain "muahahaha"ing every third chapter or so.

On Shifting: Viktor is apparently half Russian on his mother's side. Now, crocodile's are not native to Russia. Perhaps this means that he's crocodile on his father's side. This would suggest that, supposing shifters of two different species breed with each other, their kid has like a 50% chance of being either species. However, it's stated that hot and cold blooded creatures can't interbreed, even if they can fuck, which begs the question of what kind of shifter Viktor's mother is, or even if she's a shifter at all. Unless this means that shifter species is not in fact dictated by original location, e.g. where that animal species is usually found. Assuming that human ethnicity and shifter species are entwined based on original location, then how does that play into breeding and keeping the lines pure? How does the genetics of all this work? If one is a grizzly bear shifter in an area with natural (animal) grizzly bears, can the shifter-in-bear-form and the bear mate and reproduce? I'm over-thinking this.

My overall thoughts were that I wasn't really offended by this book like I was by Jungle Freakn' Bride but I certainly wasn't won over the same way so many reviewers were. I found the story silly, the romance boring, and the characters ridiculous. Still it's a step up from my last foray into Langlais's book so, take it with a grain of salt.

Eve Langlais is one of my go-to authors when I need some fluffy-fun. I can always count on her lighthearted take on paranormal romance to deliver a medicated dose of much needed humor - in fact I dare you to read one of her many stories without a smile plastered to your face. Seriously, my cheeks hurt when I finish these books!

Of Langlais' numerous series, 'Furry United Coalition' (FUC for short - see? funny!) is my favorite. FUC is a secret shifter-run organization whose mission is to serve and protect the shifter population at large. A nefarious mastermind has been kidnapping and experimenting on predator-shifters and FUC has been trying to put a stop to it. When they finally locate the hidden headquarters, they find a lot of victims/prisoners, including one foxy lady who has no memory of her life outside the complex. She latches onto her cranky Croc rescuer and he (very reluctantly) agrees to look after her in the interim.

Now, Viktor, that wily cold-blooded Croc shifter whom we've met in past books, is a stone-cold lethal warrior-type guy who finds himself completely undone by 'Renee', a woman who has been locked away so long she's afraid of the sky (not too mention cars, crowds, needles... well you get the idea). Now 'Croc and the Fox' is chock-full of Langlais' trademark sexual innuendo and flirty one-liners but at the same time it's also very sweet reading how Viktor succumbs to his innocently sexy foxy lady. This is one cold-blooded croc who can't help but warm up to a sweet young thang - and even though crocs might be disadvantaged by short tongues, Viktor doesn't let it hinder his... advances. *grins*

Although things with the mastermind seem to be wrapped with this third installment of 'FUC', Langlais promises more stories - yay! It seems like the 'victims' are getting restless - Muahahahahaha!

I love everything about this series. It's funny, sexy, and sweet, all at the same time. I wasn't sure about Viktor as a romantic hero, but the author did a great job of making a crocodile relatable; I'm a sucker for strong, protective, alpha men, and he is the perfect mix of tough and tender. Renee is great; even though she's had a horrible life and doesn't know anything outside of her cell, she doesn't sit around and feel sorry for herself. Read it. You'll like it.

OMG! This book was Hilarious!
"What do you call leather boots paired with a furry, red scarf? A croc and a fox in love.....

Ok imagine .. if you will .. A girl.. let's call her Project. She lives in a little cell that's barely bigger than she is. With nothing to do but count the ceiling tiles and wait for the scientists to come down to get her for testing... not pleasant testing. Drugs, shots, electro shots, whatever.. as long as it cured the boredom.. right!

Then all of a sudden, the sirens start to blare and people start screaming. She can hear pops of guns and people shouting orders.

She hears the others in the cells around her beginning to sob , their bars opening and being let lose.

But Project doesn't know what to think of these strange men. She felt safe in her cell that she's always known as home. She cowered back into a corner, trying to hide from those coming to get her. Where would they take her. What kind of tests would they do to her?

A big strong tank like Croc opens the last cell in the dungeon, and just as he thought it was empty, he saw the slightest movement in the far corner.
Trying to coax Project out and telling her she was free was easy. She felt safe with this big guy right away..

That is until he got her outside. When she took one look at the great big open sky, she made a mad dash back down to the dungeon and back into her cell.

Now Viktor was getting a little impatient but had to remind himself this was a victim. So being as gentle as he could, he tries to coax her back out of the cell. When that doesn't work. He throws her over his shoulder and jogs back up the stairs. He manages to put her down just before opening the door. but as soon as she saw the big sky again, she jumped on him and wouldn't let go.

Viktor knew this was going to cause problems. ROFLOL - and yes, just about everyone from FUC that worked with him gave his new fashion statement a glance, then a chuckle, and then they were full out laughing at him.

Viktor didn't really mind. He kind of liked having her cuddle up to him this way.

Project didn't know anything of the outside world. She didn't know anything before she became a prisoner, if there really was a "before" as far as she remembers, she has always been there.

Taking to her special Croc, feeling safe in his arms, she knew he would protect her from the Mastermind.

The Mastermind got away??? you bet - and Mastermind was laughing at FUC for being the very reason Mastermind escaped.

I really LOVED this book. There was a lot of my favorite bears, Chase and Mason, and their new wives, Miranda, the every so happy bunny and Jesse, the beautiful Swan.
And of course Viktor - the scary Croc! HA! I couldn't believe how cute this story was. I was skeptical with a Fox shifter and a Croc shifter. Both are new species for me, lol but Eve Langlais sure did pull this off.

Really looking forward to the next installment of FUC :)

I bought this book and Ball of Furry at the same time. I have to rate them both about the same, 3.5 stars, but I think I'd give Ball of Furry a slight edge over Croc and the Fox. Croc was better written, but Ball did the best job of balancing the heavy and light moments.

I've read the previous two books in the Furry United Coalition series and knowing those books was necessary to understanding Croc, as it picked up plot threads previously started. I did enjoy Bunny and the Bear and Swan and the Bear, and I was drawn to Croc because it's rare to see non-mammalian shifters. However, Viktor, the hero and crocodile shifter, actually didn't spend a lot of time in his animal form. Langlais chose to focus primarily on the heroine and fox shifter, Renee. This is not a bad thing, per say, but it wasn't what I wanted.

If you know anything about science or genetic manipulation, Croc requires some suspension of belief. The world of the Furry United Coalition has veered into comic book territory, complete with radioactive waste. Langlais stops just short of WTF territory, but it's likely you may roll your eyes once or twice.

I do want to give Langlais props for how she handled the offspring issue. It was a refreshing and logical solution to the minor conflict.

I loved this story. I liked the characters in the story. The Fox, Renee was so sweet. The Croc, Viktor was so tough and rough to everyone except Renee. I could easily see her anchoring herself to Viktor and not letting go. She just felt so safe with him. I laughed and laughed at that part of the story, and watched while Viktor's heart melted bit by bit around Renee.
I love the way Eve Langlais builds up to the introduction of sex in her stories. By the time the main characters in the story start to get hot, so does the reader. It's quite stimulating actually. Love it.
I recommend this book to all of Eve Langlaise fans and those who haven't read any of her Furry United Coalition (FUC)books start with "Bunny and The Bear" so you get to know the characters in order because they are in all of the stories together. The second book is "Swan And The Bear". Go read them. They're fun and sexy.

I think Eve Langlais voice is very fun. When I want to eat whipped cream in book form, I look for one of her titles. Its a good thing.

I have a seemingly never ending fondness for Shifter romances and unusual shifters are the best.

This is fun little older man/younger woman romp with a Croc shifter and mighty fox.

The steam factor is a little lower than in her other books but it is a nice read.

Cute shifter story. I liked the set up of the girl who had been a prisoner/science test subject so long that she was scared of the outside world and clung to the gruff hero to protect her. This like most of EL's stuff is on the lighthearted farcical side. I was a bit disappointed that the hero never actually turned into a crocodile. I was kind of looking forward to that.

Picks up where last one left off; the finding of the lab and rescue of the victims. Project as she is known is one of the subjects that had been there the longest. Once rescued, she picks the name Renee. Viktor is the one who rescued her and as result she connects with him and will only be with him.
Things happen, they fall in love (quickly). The Mastermind is caught (finally). Characters from the previous 2 (Miranda/Chase/Jessie/Mason) have roles in this one too. Dr Nolan Manners (whose book is next) is introduced. Will the victims who were rescued break (and it sounds like at least a couple do)?

Shifters are not out in the open but are protecting the humans from other shifters and the evil mastermind who is out to rule the world.
Viktor is a crocodile shifter who is known for his skills with anything violent. He is cold-blooded and many think he’s cold hearter, too. But that all changes when the Furry United Coalition (FUC) rescues some animals who have been tortured and tested upon.
Renee was the oldest project in the mastermind’s “tender” care. She no longer remembered her name or her life before her life in the small cage that was her home. When FUC rescues everyone, she begins a new adventure.
Croc and the Fox is another wonderful tale about the shifters who keep the world safe. Eve Langlais has developed a unique world that co-exists along side ours where shifters are agents and protectors. I love that in all of Eve’s FUC stories, the shifters are different than your ordinary wolves. She has animals like swans, bears, and crocodiles.
Croc and the Fox is filled with hillarious scenes and smoking hot sex as Renee and Viktor learn that they can’t live without each other. Renee isn’t your typical fox shifter either and her courage emerges as she relaizes that she has more to lose after finding love. Croc and the Fox is the third book in the Furry United Coalition series and some of the characters from the earlier stories show up in this book. But Croc and the Fox is a stand alone read that will have you cheering for the underdog. However, I know once you read one of the books in the Furry United Coalition, you won’t be able to resist reading them all!

OhMahGawd. This series just keeps getting better. I loved the bears pairing up with their respective ladies but Viktor is SO FREAKING FUN with his cold-blooded tendencies and his protective instinct that I can hardly contain myself. As an added plus, we get a whole lot of answers as to who is behind all the evil, experimental shenanigans. Oh, mastermind, you have taken me by surprise.

I'm torn between whether I loved Viktor or Renee more. Viktor is tough as nails and he's totally flummoxed by his attraction to Renee AND the things he lets her get away with. Renee is sweetly naive and she has a tendency to say whatever pops into her head. They were just so darn CUTE together that I'm all flaily and smiley.

Big things happen in this book. BIG THINGS. And there's set up for the next book. And and and and... there's one grumpy croc who knows how to treat his lady right. Again and again and again. Honestly, this series is ridiculously fun. It's chock full of quality sexin', alpha males who have a tough time believing they're lucky enough to find someone to love them, and sassy women.

Now, go forth and read it!

-Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

05/28/14 reread - THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE! I adore grumpy Viktor and his sweet vixen. I could read this one again. And again. AND ONE MORE TIME FOR GOOD MEASURE!

Viktor and Project/Renee. Another fun fluffy yet humorous read by Eve Langlais. 'Project' has been a captive of the evil mastermind for as long as she can remember. All she knows are small cells, suffering and endless boredom. Then one day FUC saves the day and she is pulled from her cell by a sexy yet grumpy soldier named Viktor, to a scary place with an endless blue ceiling and a fiery orb glaring down at her. So of course she plasters herself to the sexy grumpy guy for safety. But I don't want you to think she's a helpless dweeb. She actually saves the day later on because she isn't your average kick ass fox. But it's a lot harder to convince a grumpy crocodile to take a chance on you than it is too kick evil mastermind butt. I loved the characters in this one. Not as annoyingly cute as Miranda, and less prejudiced than Chase.

Larger than life

One sweet, innocent fox, and one cantankerous, hard nosed croc seem the most unlikely of pairs, but once the author, and the big bright blue sky through them together they find a love worth clinging to. The author kept true to her world with this story. The story is fast-paced and jam packed with witty humor and dramatic twists and turns. I love the characters and the way they just connect and I couldn’t have been happier with the HEA. This book was an amazing weekend read and I look forward to reading more stories from this author.

This book was exactly what I needed to read between angsty emotional books. It was funny, entertaining, and very not serious. I enjoyed both characters. Especially Renee who just took everything in stride and did whatever the hell she wanted to. There is nothing about this series that is to be taken seriously, which is exactly what I was looking for. I have yet to be disappointed by a book so far. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a fluffy light read with some humor thrown in.

Croc and the Fox Eve Langlais

What an amazing combination as “Opposites Attract”! It takes the outlandish imagination of a creative author to invent a paranormal romantic adventure involving innocence and fiery eroticism any reader could hope for in a book. In Croc and Fox you have fire and ice, hot and cold, dreams and reality twisted in a enthralling read.

Ms. Langlais is one of my favorite erotic paranormal authors; she takes me on treks from earth to deepest realms of outer space unknown by the greatest astronomers.

In this narrative Croc and Fox, Ms. Langlais keeps our feet on the ground in a bizarre situation where science, mystery and technology blend to manufacture super shape shifters. Unfortunately, in order to become a super hybrid shape-shifter one must endure painful, mind altering experimentation. The person behind this unspeakable treatment is one hateful, jealous, evil scientist.

Can you imagine growing up with a mind void of memories except those you currently possess? Your memory has been fragmented, losing your identity, love of family and friends to dwell in a cement chamber. Your identity is not one of a person but just a specimen and you refer to yourself as Project X081?

Ms. Langlais invents a world of pain and love using shrewd elements to swallow the reader whole and deposits you in the heart of poor victimized souls who wish for a better existence that never appears. These dear specimens' alternative is to hope for death. Moreau Island Industries is this horrific environment run by a twisted scientist referred to as Mastermind.

Project was unable to shift. Project X081 has lived under these unbearable conditions longer than the others. To Mastermind Project X081 is extraordinary and a treasure that few scientists are permitted access to her. Project's body composition rejects the combination of drugs, probes, etc. that caused other specimens to morph. Mastermind and the other techs have not unlocked the secret to having ProjectX081 shift. Others Projects before her were able to shift and fought for their lives but no one escapes.

Viktor is a courageous military man and a protective operative of FUC ~ Furry United Coalition an organization that provides protection for shape shifter that are being used as experiments or those who are hostages. Viktor and his colleagues of FUC raid the Moreau Island Industries and discover a beauty huddled in the corner of one of the cells and recuses her. Project has never been outdoors..never seeing day or night sun, sky, moon. She believes in fairy tales and from books that now have been banned.

Viktor is a crocodile when he shifter but in the human form he is a mature, well built form of strength, valor and danger under the black armor. Project is now in the protective custody of FUC and Viktor is her protector. Viktor's mind is always focused on his job as the protector and does not deviate regardless of Renee's vulnerability and sexiness. Viktor lives large, beautiful penthouse with extraordinary safeguard equipment for the exterior and interior structure of his home. Viktor is a warrior and a collector of weapons. These living accommodations amazes Project X081 and she desires to understand her new world and that of Viktor.

Renee formerly Project X081 is a fox shifter who has been the prize of the Mastermind experimentation program although the Mastermind's and team have met with great disappoint in this regard.

Viktor and Renee want get to the point where they can set the erotic wheels in motion. Viktor wants to remain professional which to him means hands off. Renee has never been with a man and knows very little of what acts of intimacies entail. Renee is attracted to Viktor and her curiosity about human sexuality is pushing the envelope causing conflict with Viktor's resolve. Renee has everything to make a man's nature rise without any artificial stimulant. She wants to explore and do the things she thinks Viktor will like. Who will win this battle? Viktor's heart and body are telling him yes but his mind and job tells him No!!

Monumental excitement and danger ensues and the FUC, Viktor and Renee take the readers on unexpected territories and events become very dicey. I enjoyed the relationship building Renee develops as the story progress. She has quite a sense of humor bringing a smile to my face between nail biting moments of the FUC team.

Ms. Langlais does it once again never disappoints her readership packing this book with subtle humor, eroticism, love, discovery of one's self and how true devotion and change the paths we take in life.

Oh. My. Shifter-Loving. Soul I am in heaven. Seriously if I have to pick a paranormal creature to read about it's going to be a shifter every single time but a girl gets a little tired of wolf after wolf and could use a little variety and holy hell Eve Langlais where have you been all my life? This woman has them all. Crocodiles, fox, swans, giraffes, bears, saber tooth rabbits. And *swoon* it was glorious. Funny, sexy, creative as hell and one that'll have me reading a lot more from Langlais in the future.

This one's not serious at all really and was exactly what I was looking for after coming off a couple rip your heart out heavy reads. I needed something fun and light, easy and a little silly and I got just that. This was book 3 in the series but so easy to jump right into and not have any trouble understanding what's going on.

I really had a great time with the main characters Renee, a fox shifter that's been locked away and experimented on for years and Viktor the Crocodile shifter and FUC agent who sprung her from her dungeon. Yep, their agency is called FUC. Furry United Coalition. Told ya. Silly. The FUC agents pretty much go about protecting and serving and being all sexy doing it ;)

After being locked away and experimented on for longer than she can remember facing freedom is pretty much scary as hell for Renee and she's a little flighty there at the beginning and despite his grumbly protests she latches on to Viktor like glue. He's 12 years older than her, a reptile for goodness sake! They don't cuddle! Or get warm fuzzies for mammals! I LOVE a grumbly rough hero so Viktor totally worked for me. And even though she's not the most serious character I really enjoyed Renee too and wanted to hug her as she battled her fear of the big blue sky and meeting strangers. She's really endearing in a way.
Eyes locked on his slow strip tease, she didn't even blink as he undid the buttons, revealing bulging dark fabric.

"Must you stare?" he growled.

"I'd videotape it if I could."

These two are as different as night and day but suit so well. She can be fierce when push comes to shove and someone tries to hurt her croc and the girl is determined as all get out to snag, or um, shag? him. He puts up some protests and can gruff but under it all he's a good guy which makes it even more fun to watch unfold.

There's a little bit of mystery as they go about trying to capture the "big" bad evil and some fun little surprises along the way too. With some nice sexy bits, humor and snarky goodness it was just a great read and one I'd recommend to anyone that has a thing for shifters and light hearted humor.

My introduction to Eve Langlais was through her Cyborg Series and this was my first reading of her books beyond that. I am so glad that her particular blend of humor, passion and a touch of danger translated into her other books. This was a lighter paranormal shifter read which may not appeal to everyone, but I found it a nice satisfying change from my usual fare.

Viktor and his team of top military trained shifters breaks into a hidden lab facility run by a villain they know as the Mastermind. It is quite the coup between getting intact data, lab workers, and rescuing victims who have been experimented on by the Mastermind and the scientists. The importance of this particular rescue mission comes home to Viktor pretty quick when it is to him that one of the victims clings for help and support. Oddly enough, Viktor, the cranky older Crocodile shifter, finds himself willing enough to let the pretty red-head cling to him in her fear of the unknown.

Project, the longest remaining experiment in the facility cannot remember a time outside of the lab and the cage she lives in. The idea of the big wide world was a myth or fairy tale to her told by the other captives that were brought in and eventually didn't make it. When the rescuer tries to get her out, she panics. Eventually, she learns to trust Viktor her rescuer, but is terrified to be parted from him.

With time, Viktor helps Project or Renee as he has dubbed her learn to accept her new freedom. In the meantime, he finds himself fighting his strong attraction to her and for her. He tells himself many things to prove that starting anything with Renee is not a good idea, but Renee has other plans.

Meanwhile, the Mastermind is alive, well and scheming with new plans that are a danger to all of the Furry United Coalition, but particularly Renee. It is this danger that helps clarify how Viktor and Renee really feel about each other and reveal a big surprise about Renee. Viktor and Renee were great together and I enjoyed their back and forth fun dialogue and thoughts.

The plot focused on the romance of Viktor and Renee with teaser moments interspersed with some steamier ones. I enjoyed following along as Renee plotted to get Viktor and he put up barriers to keep her away even when he weakened behind his own barriers. The villain is just plain over the top fun down to the 'muahahaha' laugh, but the villain's presence did add the excitement and bit of danger to the story.

This is the third story in the series and I was still able to follow along just fine. The characters from the previous stories are present and I enjoyed them so much that I plan to go back and read the earlier books.

I can recommend this story and the series to those who enjoy light and humorous with a dash of passion in their shifter romances.

Can a career military man who shifts into a killer crocodile be open to love? Or will his jaws snap shut at the very prospect?

When the last book left off "Swan and The Bear" we see the FUC has raided the evil "Mastermind's plot" by seizing another hidden lab where horrible experiments are done on shifters. Viktor is leading the raid and setting the shifters free, some unfortunately never made it alive. As Viktor comes to the last cell he discover's a woman hiding and completely terrified, she has no name and no memory. All she knows is that she goes by the name Project X081, this infuriates Viktor to no end and all he wants to do is kill them all for treating the shifters this way and her. He soon discovers that she is completely afraid of the outdoors because she has been locked up for so long and she literally wraps herself around him refusing to let him go.

The standards at FUC is that once the shifters are rescued they are turned over for treatment, being reunited with their loved ones, housed and taken care of. But Project X081 was having none of it, where her rescuer goes that is where she is going. Against all protocol the head boss Kloe tells Viktor she is now in your care until further notice which of course the ornery crocodile wants no part of but secretly he can't help but to enjoy the woman wanting to stay with him. It is an interesting story watching these crocodile have his whole orderly world turned upside down by a young woman who he renamed Renee come in and fill him up whole.

Of course no one knows what her animal is at first and why she is unable to shift but what this woman has come to do is make herself right at home with Viktor with her fears and all and God help anybody who tries to do anything to her because Viktor's crocodile will show no mercy in protecting what now belongs to him.

Great series and of course I read book 2 first *sighs* I know have to go back and read book 1 "Bunny and The Bear" and then from there move on to "Lion and The Falcon".

The series keeps pulling you in. I needed to find out who the mastermind was. The added bonus was getting Viktor's story. Viktor is introduced in the first book. He is the partner to a very happy bunny shifter, Miranda. He's quiet. He does his job and he's very protective. He saves Renee from a lab while looking for the mastermind. Even though Renee is scared and Viktor can be harsh, she feels safe with him. Renee softens Viktor and Viktor helps Renee get her self-confidence back. I loved both characters.

I do recommend reading the series in order. You don't have to, but I think you get more out of each book when you do.

Croc and the Fox (Furry United Coalition or FUC)

This book can be read separate from the series, but readers will get many more jokes if they read the first 2 in the series first (Bunny and the Bear & Swan and the Bear). each book in the series covers a different aspect of a certain case, ad this book starts with the FUC agents finally freeing one of our main characters...Project/Renee. She's been captive so long that's the only name she knows. As the book proceeds we meet more of the cast of characters and the laughs follow as they should when any good friends get together. Renee learns about herself, Viktor learns to loosen up a little but, and in the process...learns that Renee is more than even she sxpected. Apparently there were some lingering side effects of "the incident" in the lab.

The series as a whole is fast reading funny read with very adult sex scenes that make the pages melt. Good will triumph over evil, but it's never easy. there are always creative twists and turns, and yes..the women is allowed to save the day too! (OK, the guys are not lame, they save the day a lot in the series). How good is the series, now that I've read this book for this review. I'm going to re-read all of them in one sitting to get the full enjoyment for myself.

I am really enjoying this series, and I completely enjoyed this book! Where Miranda's enthusiasm is tiring, Renee's frankness is refreshing. There is something about a hardened military man falling for an innocent, not shy, woman that makes me want to swoon each time

Renee remembers nothing from her time before captivity, and all she knows about life she has learned from her captors and her fellow captives. Needless to say, this gives her a twisted and skewed outlook on a few things. The one thing she knows right away is that Viktor will protect her, she just knows this, and he proves it at every turn. She is not letting him go or out of her sight because of that fact.

Viktor is the rough, hard edged, tough an perpetual bachelor. He just can't saw no to Renee though, something everyone else finds very amusing, and while he doesn't want there teasing, he isn't pushing her away for long

Of course the bad guys cause problems and all sorts of issues, but it all works out in the end.

This had a bit more on the feeling side, mainly because of what Renee went through, and, how Viktor reacted, more so than her. It definitely packed a punch, and was also fun and sexy along the way!

Got this from AllRomance, when they did a free week of books.
I loved the characters. The pregnant bunny had me in tears.
The jokes came thick and fast, and so did the action.
3rd book in the series. I will have to go back and catch up.
I know there is a 4th book planned for This year.
I can't imagine being imprisoned for such a Length of time, that u actually forget who and what u r. But that is what project X had done.
Screaming at the sky, because u have never seen it.
And a cranky old croc, who wants to go back to his comfortable life.
I giggled and chuckled through most of the book.
Will continue to read the adventures of the FUC agents (yes that is their name) sounds like a bad porn movie, and there were a few moments I thought I couldn't take it seriously, but luckily I did.

This is third book in the FUC series. Viktor did play a big part in the other book but you didn't really know him very well. When he rescued Renee he had no idea she was gonna change his whole life.
Renee had been captured by the mastermind when she was a young child. Renee has be tortured and experiment on over the years. When being rescued Renee attached herself to Viktor and all through book isn't far from him.
At the beginning I wasn't sure of these to together because there completely different personalities. Viktor brings out the more serious and balanced in the relationship but Renee lets see everything new and exciting.
I like that all other characters make an appearance and also help in places with the investigation. Loved story and ending HEA.

Each book in this series keeps u on ur toes from its intrigue to its humor XD

- I liked this book since like the first book it had a gruff hero and I always like gruff heroes XD

- I liked the idea about the heroine and how she stuck to the hero because he looked the scariest and the toughest XD

- It was really cute seeing them together, how she clung to him and then grew attached and how he was always protective of her

- I kept hating the mastermind more and more with each book but here they showed more about the mentality of the mastermind since they gave more of "it's" POV

- I liked the heroine nearing the end she was badass XD however I hated how long she was held captive by the mastermind

Overall, *thumbs up*
