I'm always intrigued by releases by new HR writers, and this is a good one. The premise is a fresh spin on an old trope, which is what initially attracted me to this book. Instead of Thomas, the MMC, completely deceiving Harmonia, the MFC, in order to enact his revenge, she is party to a fake engagement to Thomas in order to escape engagement to the man they both hate. Both Thomas and Harmonia are basically using each other for their own ends. The question is, when will they realize that love is what matters most between them?

The author's writing style and particularly her dialog are sharp and snappy. The world-building is solid. I bought Thomas's bone-deep cynicism and after a bit of a shaky start got more into Harmonia (her strong dislike of her former fiance, Francis, is rather vaguely explained).

What struck me most while reading is that I usually need to like both MC's in order to fully enjoy a romance novel, but neither Thomas nor Harmonia is completely likable. Thomas is a man with a violent past and anger issues, while Harmonia can be vain and manipulative and is not your typical virginal miss. It's a credit to the author that it's so easy to get drawn into the dance of emotion between them, and I appreciate that she wasn't afraid to create MC's who have done questionable things, although they do end up questioning themselves. Both Thomas and Harmonia have satisfactory character arcs by the end.

I enjoyed the secondary characters, in particular the doctor who saved Rickard's life in the war. I hope he is featured in a book in this series.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The storyline ended up being less plot-driven and more angsty than I expected. There are a couple of tense scenes between Harmonia and Francis, and then Rickard and his opium-broker boss, that I thought would lead to serious consequences. There was definitely a possibility of conflict involving the values being espoused by a ladies' group Harmonia had just joined and Rickard's line of work, but after a brief scene this is never mentioned again. Instead, the final-act conflict is caused by the fact that the MC's are actually their own worst enemies and struggle to trust each other. The final chapter felt a bit rushed (I'll admit, I was really wanting to know what had been in Polly's note).

Overall, though, this is a refreshing read by a new HR writer. I look forward to the upcoming books in this series.

Harmonia Sedley, the boot blacking heiress, wants out of the engagement everyone is expecting. A rather sticky predicament of her own making. She’d hoped the earl would salvage her family’s dubious reputation, but he turned out to be philandering, fortune hunter.
Facing scandal and the possibility of being ostracised by society, she needs a graceful exit. Her solution finds her in the form of an intriguing and rather handsome man. A man who seems to hate the earl even more than she does.

Returning to England after sixteen years abroad, Thomas Rickard, now a wealthy and formidable man, has but one goal: destroying the earl who’d taken everything from him. He’d start by taking his gorgeous fiancée.
To his astonishment, the lady shares his hatred for the earl, and offers him a deal: a fake engagement saving her reputation, all the while unknowingly offering Rickard exactly what he wanted. It’s almost too easy. Almost, but not quite.

Both serving their own hidden agenda, their common enemy creates an unexpected bond. The temptation, a taste of the forbidden, is almost irresistible. But is it wise?

📚 What starts as a business agreement, quickly evolves into something so much more complex. These MCs truly care for each other in their own twisted way. She’s no simpering miss and he’s no gentleman. Watching them struggle to keep their own desires at bay and stick to the plan, a delight!
Witty and clever writing sucks you into this tale of revenge, honourable intentions, sly deception and ravenous passion. The characters are well-developed and the plot is captivating. An original and a truly entertaining read! I look forward to the next book in this series!
📚 Fake engagement, industry heiress/self-made man, steamy, open door, morally grey MCs, twisted family

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this ebook and this is my freely given opinion.

This is a new to me author and at first I had a bit of a hard time getting into reading this story because it started out pretty dark and brooding and stayed that way. This is not a story of lighthearted romance, joy, rainbows, and unicorns. Though there is a dog. This is a story of brooding angst, revenge, family angst, social snobbery, family drama, and people using each other... and somehow in the quagmire of scheming, brooding angst, love develops.

I love me some broody angst when it is done right, and while I had my doubts at the beginning, I was a fan by the end.

Thomas Rickard is the son of a humble thatcher, a commoner. Years before, he suffered a heartbreak, and left to join the Crimean War with the sole purpose of dying. But he survived, and in his survival, was able to remake himself. Through the years, he travelled and made connections, becoming wealthy through his connections with a businessman in the Ottoman empire, becoming involved in the trade of heroin. He is forced to return to England, and London because of issues in their business when someone dares to skim and adulterate their product.

But while he is there on business, Rickard decides to take care of some personal business... chiefly revenge against the man who lead to his decision to leave - the Earl of Clifton. Because the Earl was the man who took something from Rickard - years before, the Earl decided to heartlessly seduce then toss aside one of his maids. Unfortunately that maid was Rickard's fiancee.

When Rickard returns to London, as a wealthy businessman, he knows that he is an upstart and will be looked down on, but also is aware that his wealth will help to open doors, letting him have access to the person who will be at the center of his revenge plans - Harmonia Sedley.

Harmonia Sedley is a wealthy heiress, but she and her family are barely tolerated by Society because their wealth is in trade... shoe blacking to be precise. Not only that, but the Sedleys are further tainted by several generations of scandal, chiefly due to the men and their scandalously licentious behaviour. Their peccadilloes are enough to permutate the saying "as mad as a Sedley". Harmonia thinks the way up and out for her and her family is to marry into the Ton, and gain the highest title, and the accompanying social power, possible. To this end, she has been courted by Francis de Vauville, the Earl of Clifton.

She has progressed quite far, and expecting a proposal imminently.... except for one big problem. She has come to realize that she does not want a marriage to the Earl, especially not the one that he is proposing. A cold marriage for show, with no love, affection, or even respect. She is aware that Clifton needs and wants her primarily for her wealth. But she has realized that she does not want him and what he is offering, and now needs to find an out, but feels cornered.

When Rickard connives his way into a masquerade, to start his revenge plan, he did not expect Harmonia to just about throw herself at him, but she pretty much does, when she hides to escape Clifton. For whatever reason, she feels a connection with Rickard, and she approaches him to propose a plan that would benefit both of them. She doesn't want an engagement with Clifton, and wants Rickard to pretend and attachment and engagement to herself to cut Clifton off.

This story has a lot of interesting characters with the various Sedley relatives, the Earl, his sister, Rickard, etc, and I love their developing characters and relationships. Rickard was off putting initially because his dark brooding revenge driven angst was so strong from the first few pages, and his involvement in heroin was not very palatable (but remember, at the time, this was a commodity that people could buy legally). But then as the story develops, he reveals greater depth of character and warmth. Harmonia seemed to be a shallow social climbing heiress at first, but becomes more when her own fears and desire to be loved come to be revealed. I became quite drawn into their story and came to commiserate with them quite a bit more. Even the Earl, horrible narcissist that he is, shows vulnerabilities that make me feel some empathy for him.

This is a dark, brooding romance that had me compelled to read it through the end because the characters and their connections and growing relationships were intriguing and drew me in.

Harmonia was tired of hearing the phrase ‘mad as a Sedley’. Yes, her family was colorful and involved in quite a few scandals, but she was beautiful and an heiress and she should be able to marry a title and be accepted by the ton. However, the title she persued, the Countess of Clifton, no longer appealed once she discovered Francis, the Earl of Clinton’s, true beliefs regarding marriage. Enter dark, brooding, handsome Thomas Rickard, a man seeking revenge for Earl’s actions sixteen years ago. An encounter at a garden party lead to an alliance between Harmonia and Thomas as she endeavored to extricate herself from Clinton’s clutches. Meanwhile, Clinton was livid. Not only was Harmonia an extremely beautiful woman, but he needed her money, and he had no idea why one minute she was in his bed, and the next she fled from him at every turn. And so you have a story filled with conflict and confrontations. The intensity and tension that dominates this tale is captivating and thrilling. You will find strong emotions, steamy encounters, and characters who are so well portrayed that it is hard to believe they are not real. Loved it, and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

It’s wonderful that readers have a plethora of talented indie authors from whom to chose when they’re seeking a new Regency romance. Is there a trope that I don’t relish? That’s a resounding, “no”. We are hapless victims to Falk’s wonderful story telling. Her writing style is crisp and enchanting. Readers will be enveloped by the author’s magical prowess in weaving a tale about Harmonia Sedley and Thomas Rickard’s awkward romance. A headstrong young woman whose family is in the boot blacking business and shunned as the “mad Sedleys”, Harmonia wants to marry into the ton via Francis de Vauville, the Earl of Clifton. Her dream of being a countess is shattered by the wastrel earl’s greed for her dowry, his idea of marriage (he continues to have mistresses) and his shameless revelation of her undergarments to the tabloid as vengeance for her dodging him. Now she must find a way to prevent Francis from pressing his suit and she actually runs into someone who despises Francis more than she does. Born a thatcher’s son and now in the opium trade, Thomas Rickard wants to exact his revenge on the earl and Harmonia provides the perfect solution for him to do just that…a fake betrothal. To what length will the three of them go to achieve their goals? Along the way, will passion lead to more than a fake betrothal?

The novel has a wealth of intriguing characters to provide a richly rewarding story: 15 y/o Matilda de Vauville (Tilly), Francis’ sister; Miss Susanna Abbotts, Tilly’s governess upon whom Francis has designs; Lady Caplin, a former marriage interest of Francis; Dr. Collier, served with Thomas in the Crimean War and save his life; Yusef Ghali, Rickard’s employer/partner; Marcus Hartley, Harmonia’s cousin; Tiberius Sedley, Harmonia’s grandfather and owner of their business; Ajax Sedley, Harmonia’s skirtchasing uncle; Charlotte Sedley, Ajax’s 15 y/o illegitimate daughter; Polly, young servant girl and Thomas’ love interest who was compromised by the earl years ago.

My first novel by Falk was a terrific read and I can’t wait to read the story of Uncle Ajax, his daughter Charlotte and the attractive governess who will be tutoring her, Miss Susanna Abbotts. I have received an ARC from Booksprout and I am leaving an unbiased review voluntarily.

This is the first book in the Sedleys series, which follows the notorious nouveau riche Sedley family in the Victorian era. Rich heiress Harmonia Sedley longs to be accepted in the *ton,* and her betrothal to the Earl of Clifton is the chance she’s always wanted. But one night, Clifton shows his true (cruel) colors to Harmonia, and she realizes that she needs to escape this man ASAP.

Good thing Thomas Rickard, Clifton’s nemesis and man of mystery, is there to enter into a fake engagement with her! Harmonia can be safe until Clifton finds another heiress to marry, and Thomas gets to steal his enemy’s bride. But of course, nothing is that simple. Ambitious relatives, old business partners, lonely teenage girls, and the growing passion between the fake couple means things get hot in more ways than one.

I ADORED this book. The characterization is phenomenal. Even the side characters have distinct personalities, which can be hard to portray in a genre where the focus is on the main couple. We also get to see things from the villain’s POV, and I actually felt pity for him, even if I can’t forgive him for his actions.

The slow burn between Thomas and Harmonia is done really well. They're very attracted to each other, but they do a convincing job of resisting it until emotions overwhelm them. Characters in romances often do stupid things for sex, even if the book is meant to be a slow burn, but these two are capable of handling things as adults (eventually). Imagine, characters in a romance novel arguing in the third act and then…discussing it! Now that’s true love!

Class conflict is a major theme of the book. Harmonia is a social climber and Thomas is the son of a thatcher who got rich, and the bad guy is an aristo. Harmonia perceives herself as closer to people like Thomas than aristocrats like Clifton, while Thomas sees her money and her clothes and thinks she's a nob. In truth, they both live in limbo between the two worlds, and part of their love story is coming to terms with that and being their authentic selves.

This book was a pleasant surprise. The author has a unique writing style and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The mad Sedleys were quite the family. They were ridiculously wealthy and, coming from trade, they were barely tolerated in society. The fact that they were prone to scandal did nothing to help their reputation. Engaging in a liaison with an Earl, Harmonia Sedley was no exception. Unfortunately for him, Harmonia decided that she wouldn't be able to endure the cold ton marriage that she thought she had wanted. Being an Earl, and an impoverished one at that, Clifton doesn't handle her rejection well. Enter Thomas RIckard. Thomas was a dangerous man with a score to settle. He wanted Clifton dead. Harmonia and Thomas decided to form an alliance with Clifton as their mutual enemy. They ended up agreeing on a fake engagement. Predictably, this ruse turned out to be the real deal. Before they marry, both of them manage to settle their unfinished business with Clifton. Clifton is left a broken man.

This story has a satisfying ending and also a preview of the next book which features Harmonia's wild Uncle Ajax and Clifton's former governess. What could possibly go wrong? Considering that he's such a central character, I'm hoping that Clifton's own story is also in the works.

This romance was quite steamy. The author took the time to develop many of the characters both human and four-legged. There were also subtle bits of humor.

This book has the potential to be the start of a long series. I received a free ARC from BookSirens and this is my honest opinion.

London 1870. Harmonia Sedley is trying to break free from the family’s cursed name and reputation, “Mad as a Sedley”. Being an heiress of a boot blacking company has brought her no joy as she climbs out of the second-rate family reputation into what she thinks is due to her. Deciding at the last minute to not accept a Counts proposal of marriage isn’t what was expected of her, but now she doesn’t know how to release the hold he has on her. Enter Thomas Rickard, son of a thatcher (remember A Knight’s Tale with Heath Ledger…I digress), currently finishing up with his current partner to take revenge on the man that ruined his life. When these two meet at a party it is nothing less than fireworks. From there the plan hatches between the two, to benefit both, but not before their fireworks go out in the night.

This author has me eagerly awaiting the next in the series, and I’d go back into this story with a quick snap of her fingers if she wrote more about this couple that I was cheering for the entire story. Every single bullet point I’ve made for myself of what a historical romance story needs was met in this medium-paced romp through the streets, and carriages, of London.

I love Historical Romance. I started reading it in my teen years and haven’t stopped. It’s always in the mix of what I’m reading. Sometimes I can’t tear myself aways from them, occasionally I get just one into my schedule. I was lucky to get this ARC from Book Sirens for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A merchant heiress , whose family are notorious rakes, has spent her life trying to fit into the upper class. Her family, though loving, have never been overly close, thus she has felt alone most of her life. She is planning on marrying an earl, the villain of the story" only to find out that he has no intentions of remaining faithful.
The hero wants revenge on the Earl for seducing a young girl he loved in his youth.
To me the character development was somewhat 2 dimensional and I didn't feel invested in them. The hero didn't feel that "dangerous" and the story at times felt a little rushed. The "villain" never really felt much like a villain, and I didn't understand why the heroine needed to do the things she did to break off the engagement. Though to be fair, I did like how the Earl was made to be human and you learned the motivation behind his actions.
I didn't particularly like the ending conflict. I fully understood the heroines' actions and felt that it was justified. To me, I would have rather read a story centered around the heroines' actions and the emotional conflict that would have ensued, when the hero was confronted with the end result. So overall, the plot fell a little flat for me, though there were parts I liked.
While not one of my favorites, it is a decent read and I recommend it to others.

The first in a historical series that proves a business arrangement is the perfect guise for revenge. Harmonia, an untitled heiress of a trade company wants to be accepted (and change the family gossip) by the nobility of society and sees her chance by marrying a titled man. However, she soon learns the man she thought was perfect, an Earl, is a rake just after her money with no plans to change after the wedding. Now she must redirect his sights and escape from being blackmailed by him. Thomas is back for revenge against the Earl that stole his woman and led him to war. He didn’t die as originally planned and has made his fortune abroad in the opium trade. Revenge will be sweet when he steals the woman from under the Earls’ nose, but murder may be sweeter. After the two meet, a business arrangement is agreed upon – a pretend engagement with no plans to see it through. But no one expected the two would find each other as more than a partner, but a lover and the one person that they both needed to find peace with themselves and their place in the world. A well written story with characters trying to learn that they are good enough and don’t need the acceptance of others. Looking forward to the next in the series. I asked BookSirens for a complimentary copy of this book and the plot synopsis intrigued me. As always, I try to avoid simple plot details and spoilers so you can decide whether you want to read the book or not.

The two protagonists, Harmonia and Rickard, are not your typical protagonists in a modern regency romance. Harmonia is an upstart heiress and Rickard has little to recommend him except being in the right place at the right time. This dichotomy between the typical regency and Wedded Deceit made me like the book all the more. Although we must always have our happy ever afters in these romances, the characters and plot were more interesting as they fell outside the norms in these romances.

I also like books with good villains, and there was one in here. His story might be interesting to tell, Ms. Falk, because romance readers like bad boys who can be reformed! Charlotte has a story to tell as well, if you are planning on more books in the series, which it seems you are!

Overall, I enjoyed the novel. The plot moved well and the characters were realistic. Why deduct one star, then? The author used the word "suss" multiple times, and that was too modern for me.

I just like how this book was not written in a typical historical fiction manner. Kind of like a breath of fresh air😂.

I like how the female was not the usual shy, coming of age Lady. Harmonia was was a sly and confident woman and the male MC was not a gentleman in no way a gentleman. My guy sells drugs for a living 😂.

It was interesting to see how without them realising they cared for each other And it was nice to see how that grew over time. I think Harmonia writing to Polly came from a good place. Who wouldn’t when you know that your betrothed was still hungover his ex and was willing to commit murder, though it was a faux engagement. Deep down, even and probably unintentionally, I feel like there was a part of Rickard that always associated her with the “upper class” even tho she has kind of at most had a hard time fitting in, which was why it was so quick for him to categorise her like that.

It was nice to see how Rickard and his family reconnected and how they all embraced her but ending seemed too abrupt. I would have loved to know how they were after a few years. Also, I would’ve loved to know what Polly had written to get closure 😂😂.

The historical romances that stand out to me the most are those with unusual heroines who don't expect everyone to like them, but who fight for what they want and are often shocking because of their unconventional way of getting things done. I think that for men sometimes that seems to be one of the norms in the historic romance stories, but for a woman, it is unthinkable. I love conflict, drama-filled scenes, and intense passions, and this story has plenty to entertain. The strong emotions that consumed Thomas and Harmonia stimulated my imagination and had me thinking about the choices that the characters have. I liked that several secondary characters had their own dramas and intense situations, and I was particularly intrigued by the Earl of Clifton character, and I hope that the author has his story lined up because I'm eager for more. Action, suspense, a lot of drama, deceit, a conflicted villain, some violence, romance, and passion. Voluntarily reviewed this interesting copy that I received for free from Hidden Gems and I liked it.

After meeting at a party when Thomas comes to Harmonia's rescue, they form an alliance of sorts, both of them feeling no great affection for Francis, the Earl of Clinton. Harmonia who was supposed to wed the Earl, now realizes that is the last thing she wants to do after hearing his opinions on a wife's role in marriage. Not wishing to become the earl's plaything in a cold, heartless marriage, Harmonia conspires with Thomas, a man set on revenge against the earl for his actions from years ago.

Even though the main characters are not very likeable throughout most of the story they do manage to redeem themselves somewhat in the end. There are some secondary characters I wouldn't mind seeing in future editions to the series. Hopefully we will see them.

Overall it is a fast, interesting storyline that holds the reader's attention and I recommend it for historical/regency fans for a hot afternoon summer read.

This was the most amazing book to read from both sides of Harmonia and Thomas' lives. Each has so many issues with the past that has shaped these present issues. Harmonia is wealthy from her Grandfather's Black boot polish business but still trying to get into society. She becomes involved with an Earl but realizes that all he wants is her money. Thomas has lots of anger for the same Earl, so together they team up against him, each for their own reasons. As they spend more time together , they each have feelings for the other. Even after they marry there is still is not total truth between them. This book is not one to put down after you start reading it. well written, full of action, love, revenge, intrigue, drama, twists and turns. This author can spin a tale and hold your attention. Can't wait for the next one in this series, Would recommend this book to everyone.

Thomas Rickard of very humble beginnings formerly a soldier and an Opium broker! Thomas was in England to fulfill revenge on the very man Harmonia Sedley was set to be engaged to!
Harmonia lives up to her name she tries to aide her cousin the MP take care of her doty aunt and uncle! But who takes care of her? She surrounded my immoral family members and when she sleeps with her soon to be fiancé an Earl no less she realizes she has made a terrible mistake!
He is a self entitled prig who will sleep with anyone anywhere with no consequences!
Harmonia sought him out to rid herself of the stigma of the boot blacking empire except maybe she doesn’t need the Ton!
Maybe she just needs Thomas a very handsome, wealthy self made man!
She doesn’t have to carry the weight of everyone’s choices including her own any longer!
But Harmonia makes a huge mistake inviting the past back into Thomas’s life!
Can he forgive her? Bravo

I was given a free copy of this book and I decided to give it an honest review.
I really enjoyed this story. It was a historical romance but unlike most I have ever read. For one it started off with the rich untitled young woman with an Earl on the hook. This is the dream outcome for many a young lady. Harmonia, on the other hand, has decided she has made a mistake and is trying to figure out how to throw him back without getting burned. This is usually where a second aristocrat emerges to save the young lady from the first aristocrat, but no this is where it goes delightfully off the rails. Harmonia turns to Thomas; who, for all intents and purposes, is a thug. Thomas has his own reasons for going along with Harmonia's plans. And this is how one of the most unique and interesting historical romances starts.

Enacting Their Plan . . .

Thomas Rickard felt he had no reason to live. But the war he fought in, intending to die, failed him and he came home. So now he will actively seek revenge on the scoundrel Francis de Vauville, Earl of Clifton, who took everything from him. The best way to do that is through the woman his enemy desires, Harmonia Sedley.

Harmonia Sedley is not looking forward to a cold marriage to such a fickle Earl, as she knows he is merely after her money and will continue having his women on the side. Instead, she can escape her unpleasant fate with a fake engagement with a stranger. But she wasn’t supposed to fall in love with her fake fiancé, Thomas Rickard! Did he have any feelings for her as well? Or was this solely an opportunity of enacting his vengeance?

4.5 STARS!!!!

I am so happy to have stumbled across this book. A fresh take on historical romance, Wedded Deceit tells the story of two unhappy humans who turn to each other for selfish reasons, but end up finding the comfort their lives had been missing for so long.

I love the way the characters were written, especially Harmonia. Its so hard to find a truly morally grey FMC in HR. Harmonia wears the mantle perfectly. And Thomas is in actuality a total sweetheart hidden in the body of a gruff man who speaks in grunts and growls. WE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! Add to this, a truly well-written villain.

My thanks to the author, the publishers and BookSirens for the ARC!!!

I really enjoyed the story and the characters

My rating: 4.5

Tropes: Historical - Faking

Heat: 7/10
Emotion 7/10
Story: 7/10
Characters: 7/10
Interest: 7/10
POV: Multiple
No Cheating - No OW/OM sex
No Cliffhanger

"Wedded Deceit" is a sweet and steamy story with great characters and a good plot.
As i always state in most of my reviews, i like it when authors don't use misunderstandings in order to create angst, this one doesn't have that.
I enjoyed having a little of the POV of secondary characters, since it wasn't overdone.
I will definitely read more from the author.

I am looking forward to what the next book gives its readers.
This was a very interesting story with strong characters and very realistic ones to boot. The one character I felt sorry for was Tilly. The other characters were all adults but she was just a young girl with some serious doubts about her future because of her brother. There are strong emotions within the piece very dramatic and it was easy to become completely engaged within the books pages. I did receive a free copy of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily chose to review it.

If you love a spicy historical romance with some fun characters, this is for you! This story focuses on a heroine that is admittedly an imperfect person looking to prove herself to be more than her mistakes, and a hero with a seedy background and gruff nature who isn’t looking for any distractions from his goal of revenge. As someone who hasn’t read historical romance in a few years, this book sparked my love for them all over again. This is a great debut novel and I’m excited to read the 2nd in the series!

Good romance

The two main characters, Harmonia and Thomas, are compelling to follow, and we're curious to see how their complex relationship will develop. Harmonia is a strong and independent heroine, just as I like them. The author gives us an enjoyable story between these two well-matched characters. I’m looking forward to the author’s next book.

Wow, I really enjoyed this couple! Their connection was strong from the get-go. It's a story of seeing your worth and learning where you fit into society. Their banter felt like actual banter rather than them just being mean to each other the entire time. Pacing was great. Although there were a lot of side characters, I enjoyed them all. I'll keep an eye out for book #2!

The first book in the Sedleys series. Thomas Rickard and Harmonia Sedley both dislike Francis, the Earl of Clinton. They both start out using the other to
help their cause not realizing that they are falling in love. The story is well written and I enjoyed reading. I want to read the next book. This is a new Author to me and looks to be her debut book. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was really hard to get into for me. I did not care for the MMC or the FMC. They were both very odd people and probably exactly right for one another. I trudged my way through the full book, but I definitely skimmed the last half. I would only recommend this book to someone who needed a challenging MMC or FMC. Wedded deceit by Antonia Falk is a charming book of a love affair that was born out of revenge of a past hurt but developed into something beautiful. The story is easy to read and follow.
This is a steamy historical romance book and I recommend it to mature readers who love historical romance.
