This book brought back all the pieces I love about Gone With the Wind but from other characters' points of view. Mainly Rhett, but at times others. I found myself in general losing umph to read. However, this book always drew me in and caused me to struggle to put it down. It's a unique idea to adapt viewpoints different from the original viewpoints of the characters in the original story and gave insight into the history of characters previously given such little history. As always, the imagery and strength of the story and characters have me falling in love with them all over again. The descriptions of the ending climax drew me near tears, a nearly impossible task. I highly recommend this book, but I probably need to know Gone With the Wind to fully understand many plot points
