A short, super hot read about Ava and Kaden competing against each other in hopes of being named the next pack alpha. Not only does their chemistry get in their way, but also an unknown competitor for alpha. Little does Ava and Kaden know, but someone is scheming and making their own plans for who will be named the next alpha. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I wanted more of Ava and Kaden and didn't want it to end.

Okay but needs editing
The first time the title is used in the story the word ready is misplaced by reading. Other words are misused as well.
I found the complete switch of attitude from the beginning compared to thee end didn't make sense. Unless you accept lust and sex to change a person's life goals.
There were a couple erotic scenes but way more time was spent on the love/hate relationship and inner feelings.

A friend of mine who is just as much of a “Book-a-holic” as I am, if not more (gasp, can that even be?) posted a comment on the author’s fanpage which caught my attention. It included the following “He does GROWWWWWL when he…. you know”. If that doesn’t get your attention, than I don’t know what will. So a few posts back and forth, I got the name of the book and began to look up the author, Selena Blake. It turns out that “Ready & Willing” is a free book for members of her site! Originally, she was posting each chapter on her blog, but now you can purchase the entire book online!
Two individuals going after the head position of leader of the pack. Both have valid reasons as to why they should be the Alpha. They must learn to work together and to trust each other. The tension that Selena creates between Ava and Kaden drives the story forward, capturing you at every page. The heat Ava and Kaden exude, wow, hot!! Then add Kaden’s good looks and smooth lines, you’ll swoon!!
Selena has a smooth writing style that sucks you into the story. The characters are filled with emotions, depth, and leave you wanting to know them better. Though this was a quick read, you got a full story. Never did I feel like it was being rushed, or something was missing.

A very enjoyable short read.
Ava and Kaden both want to be the next alpha of the pack. They've worked all their lives toward this goal.
But when working on a ranch together for a couple of days their priorities shift. Maybe all they want is .. each other?

Ava and Kane are fighting for position of pack leader. The story was interesting - I loved reading about the dynamics of pack life. And wolves have always been my favorite. I have one as my spirit totem. Look forward to reading more by Selena Blake.

We are all so used to the novels about shifters: beautiful animals in secret, gorgeous humans in public. Of course, reading is entertainment and beautiful people who can be a wolf or tiger or bear in a moment is entertaining. But, the overt human sides of the characters are rarely apparent, even in romances. Ready & Willing by Selena Blake brings that difference. Meet Ava, smart mouthed, middle child of the alpha of the WhitePaw pack. Convinced that she would be the perfect Alpha, her goal is closer than ever, as her father has announced the new appointment with the next full moon. Enter Kaden, current Beta of the pack; an orphaned wolf-shifter brought into WhitePaw and groomed for leadership by Ava’s father.
Not only are these two competing for the same job, but they are competing with their own insecurities about their performances, all while battling an attraction and desire for each other. Ready & Willing is one of the few shifter stories that I have read that has focused more on the emotions and development of the human side of the main characters, rather than describing all of the differences of their shifted ‘natural’ side. And that makes Ready & Willing a refreshing change, with fast paced dialogue, interior voiced monologues that provide insight into the insecurities, and tightly written descriptions, scene changes and storyline. There is sexual tension, not truly relieved with some smoking hot sex scenes near the end of the book, and it is a romance with a happy-for-now ending. I say for now, because there is a cliff-hanger at the end that just begs another volume in the story that is Ava and Kaden in the White Paw pack.

Kaden has developed into well built, sexy, gorgeous dominant male. A competition develops between the two as each are fighting for the position of Alpha. I’ve been a fan of Selena’s for a while now. I love her Stormy Weather series so I knew before I started this one that I would enjoy it. Selena’s shifters are fun, entertaining, full of drama and a breath of fresh air after reading so many shifter books that seem to be very similar. The story and characters are well written and pull you right into the book. I really enjoy the way she writes the dialogue between characters, it gives so much insight to each character and helps really bring the story together.
The dynamics between Ava and Kaden were really something. I love reluctant female characters and Ava was definitely reluctant. The whole thing with who will be the next Alpha made it very entertaining at times. And the sexual tension was thick between those two, they really burned up the pages! The secondary characters were fun too. I liked her father, the current alpha. He’s a very sneaky man with a plan. LOL But in the end it all came together and everyone was happy!
If you love shifters and erotica then you will love this book. It’s a fun quick read with lots of fun characters and a story that will make you laugh and melt at the same time. I really enjoyed reading this one and I look forward to reading even more of Selena’s work in the future.

Once again author Selena Blake has captured the heart of the wolf shifter in an amazing story. The main characters - Kayden and Ava - are both vying for the next Alpha position of the WhitePaw pack. Ava is the Alpha's daughter and has been grooming herself at her father's side for years in order to take over when the time was right. Kayden is fairly new to the pack, but is her father's Beta - his right-hand man, or wolf. As they both struggle and fight to show the Alpha that each of them is the right wolf for the job, they also fight their overwhelming desire for each other.
Then, when Ava goes into her heat cycle while they are in close quarters, Kayden struggles hard to keep control. I won't tell you what happens because I don't like giving away the good parts, but I will add that there is another fighting to be noticed by the Alpha and Ava as well. And he'd love a chance to tame the shewolf and take over as the next Alpha.
A lot of animal magnetism, sexy Alpha wolves, sexual tension and determination to make this story sizzle. I was intrigued from page one, and I do recommend you check out this newest story by a very talented author: Selena Blake.

Another GREAT book from Selena Blake.. It is a good "stand alone" but I have it from a great source that it is the first in a new series... ;-)
It is a paranormal, werewolf, romance (the best kind). The ONLY down side to this is that it is too short for me (only about 151 pages). ;-) What can I say, I'm always wishing that Selena would write longer novels.. But we don't have to wait all that long between books either. Oh Well!!

Excellent Shifter Story!
This is a wonderful wolf shape shifter story. An alpha male and an alpha female vying for the same position in the pack made for some very interesting fireworks not to mention the chemistry between the two characters was off the scale. The main and supporting characters were well developed. The storyline grabbed you from the start and did not let up until the end which I found quite satisfying. I would love to see another book with these characters. Highly recommend.

I love this writer. I loved the love/hate relationship between Ava and Kaden. This book is really funny sexy and storyline is awesome. I love to read more of the whitepaw pack. 5stars.
