A very solid start which proves that there's a place for Jon Kent as a Superman story lead. Despite length, it's got enough mystery to maintain reader engagement and ends on a note which leaves people practically demanding for the next issue.
A really strong start to this new series. Does a great job helping new readers (or folks like me on a budget) catch up on all the significant moments of Jon's life and his history with Ultraman.
I'm also just really glad someone remembered the Earth 2 series existed and have those characters interact with the main continuity (also, nice continuity pull referencing Mr. Terrific's time on Earth 2: World's End). I really hope we see some more of the Earth 2 cast, but choosing Val-Zod and Red Tornado as the "ambassadors" so to speak was a wise choice, especially given their relation to Clark Kent. I bought the book initially for just the fanservice, but I'm sticking around for the plot and characters. Absolutely worth your time.
A solid start. The opening is great, with Ultraman, then we slow down to get in touch with Jon and what he's up to. The ending is interesting but a little tame in comparison to what I expected from Injustice Tie In.
I just finished reading some of the Earth 2 stories so I remember Mr. Terrific and Val-Zods connection. Jon is going through the multiverse to destroy Ultraman? Sounds cool and dangerous. Hopefully Lois, The Red Tornado, can help him. Best of all though was sticking it to Marvel.
Red Tornado Lois Lane!?!?! President Superman visits Jon Kent Maxwell Lord Satellites start falling out of orbit and into Earth's atmosphere. Phenomenal artwork and writing.
This story has alot of potential and a great hook. The art is fantastic and the group of heros going against the big bad is a good mix of brains and brawn. Way more brains which will be perfect when they confront the big bad.
Living Jon as a character and all that he is becoming. This is a decent setup to a story and I'm interested in where is will go. The art is gorgeous which is a big deal to me. Will be buying the next issue soon.
I really liked the hook for this series. I’m sure Jon’s showdown with Ultraman will be epic, and I’m so excited to see how the Injustice universe is going to fit in.
Imma be honest here... I don't know much about Jon Kent. But I didn't need to! I still enjoyed this. :) Funny. Action packed. Lots of cool characters. Liked this a lot.
I'd read some of Taylor's previous Jon Kent series and really liked it. Thought I'd see if this one was going to be any good. And this was really good. Great start to this series.
I'm into it. I started reading Jon Kent with Taylor's start with the character, and more and more I'm feeling like I need to read about his wild backstory. Tips for what to read would be welcome!
