127 books164 followersKeiji Nakazawa (中沢 啓治; Nakazawa Keiji) was born in Hiroshima and was in the city when it was destroyed by an atomic bomb in 1945. All of his family members who had not evacuated died as a result of the explosion after they became trapped under the debris of their house, except for his mother, as well as an infant sister who died several weeks afterward. In 1961, Nakazawa moved to Tokyo to become a full-time cartoonist, and produced short pieces for manga anthologies such as Shōnen Gaho, Shōnen King, and Bokura.
Following the death of his mother in 1966, Nakazawa returned to his memories of the destruction of Hiroshima and began to express them in his stories. Kuroi Ame ni Utarete (Struck by Black Rain), the first of a series of five books, was a fictional story of Hiroshima survivors involved in the postwar black market. Nakazawa chose to portray his own experience directly in the 1972 story Ore wa Mita, published in Monthly Shōnen Jump. The story was translated into English and published as a one-shot comic book by Educomics as I Saw It.
Immediately after completing I Saw It, Nakazawa began his major work, Hadashi no Gen (Barefoot Gen).This series, which eventually filled ten volumes, was based on the same events as I Saw It but fictionalized, with the young Gen as a stand-in for the author. Barefoot Gen depicted the bombing and its aftermath in graphic detail, with Gen's experiences being even more harrowing than Nakazawa's own. It also turned a critical eye on the militarization of Japanese society during World War II and on the sometimes abusive dynamics of the traditional family. Barefoot Gen was adapted into two animated films and a live action TV drama.
Nakazawa announced his retirement in September 2009, citing deteriorating diabetes and cataract conditions.He cancelled plans for a Barefoot Gen sequel. In September 2010, Nakazawa was diagnosed with lung cancer and in July 2011, metastasis from lung cancer was found. He died on December 19, 2012.

أسرتني!، خطفتني لساعات من عملي وعالمي المليئ بالألم والآهات وسط المستشفيات وغرف المرضى، وأجبرتني بألمها وروعتها على أن أعود هنا بعد طول غياب كي أسجل تقييمها، وأكتب هذين السطرين تعبيرًا عن امتناني لهذا الاكتشاف البديع، الاكتشاف الذي أعاد الوهج إلى شعلة القراءة لديّ، والتي كادت تنطفئ بعد أن انجرفتُ في دوامات الحياة والعمل وابتعدت لشهرين تقريبًا عن القراءة
فلك يا سيد كيجي، رغم ما بهذه الحكاية من ألم مُقطّر يُبكي الحجر، الكثير من المودة والامتنان
على روحك السلام، وعلى حقارة البشر وحروبهم كل اللعنات.

هذه هي المرة الأولى التي أقرأ فيها مانجا في حياتي
وهي تجربة جيدة وإن كانت مؤلمة
ما يعيبها في رأيي هي اللغة
كان من الممكن أن تكون أجود دون أن تؤثر على بساطتها

أول مرة أقرأ ما يسمي بالمانجا "القصص المصورة اليابانية"..
مقدرتش أسيبها إلا لما أخلصها..لحظة سقوط القنبلة النووية علي هيروشيما..كنت عاوزة أقرأ وخايفة في نفس الوقت..
حقيقي رائعة بس مؤلمة جداً:(
لازم أجمد قلبي شوية عشان لسة في تسع أجزاء تانيين وأكيد لازم حقراهم إن شاء الله..

رائعة.. بكل تأكيد رائعة..
برسوماتها وقصتها المؤلمة.. بكل تأكيد ما هو أكثر ألماً من مدينة تُباد بواسطة قنبلة نووية.. وترى ذلك في رسومات مليئة بتعابير الوجه المذعورة من هول ما يرون.. ولكن براءة (جن) جعلته لا يعلم ما الذي حدث!
تاريخ اليابان لهو مشوق بحق وأتمنى أن أقرأ التاريخ الكامل لها لأنه تاريخ مليء بالقصص المُثيرة والتي تستحق أن تعلم عنها.. وخصوصاً في حروبها العديدة مع الصين وكوريا وبالطبع الولايات المُتحدة الأمريكية.. وبالطبع الحروب الأهلية التي حدثت في اليابان نفسها.
تبدأ قصتنا مع عائلة (جن) والده ووالدته والعديد من الأخوة.. في ظل الحرب مع أمريكا ورفض والده للتطوع فيتم عرض ما تم في حق عائلته من إهانات وضرب وشتائم.. وإتهامه بالخائن وأنه لا يُحب وطنه إلخ إلخ إلخ.. لو كُنت مصرياً فأنت مريت بتلك القصة من قبل بكل تأكيد!
سُلطة الجيش على الشعب تم نقلها ببراعة ووضوح.. أنت تُريد الحرب فأنت معنا.. لا تُريد فأنت خائن ويجب قتلك وسحلك!
إلى ما بعد ذلك من تقلبات في الفقر إلى حد عدم وجود الأكل الكافي للأسرة.. بكل الطرق المُمكنة والغير مُمكنة وترى تعبيرات الأطفال بكل براءة تُطالب أن تشبع ولو مرة واحدة من الأكل!
الرسومات رائعة ورغم سوداوية القصة ولكن كان هُناك بعض اللقطات الطريفة.. التي سُرعان ما تلاشت بسبب سودواية الأحداث.. مؤلف القصة وراسمها أيضاً (ناكازاوا كيجي) مر بأحداث مُشابهة بتلك.. حتى أنه فقد عائلته بسبب قُنبلة هيروشيما وتوفي أيضاً بسبب الأمراض المُصاحبة للقنُبلة والتي سنتعرف عليها فيما بعد في الأجزاء التالية.
وبالطبع أفضل جزء من القصة كان وقت هبوط قُنبلة (الولد الصغير) على هيروشيما.. تلك الخاتمة كانت مآسأوية!
يُنصح بها جداً.

My 6th grade teacher, Ms. Greenwood, had the Barefoot Gen series on a shelf in our classroom. I read all of these there. I now realize what a profoundly anti-war statement it was, leaving these books within the grasp of 12-year-olds--these are graphic novels about the bombing of Hiroshima, from the perspective of a young civilian boy who loses almost his entire family.
The books juxtapose cartoons and the trivialities of youth with the singularly gruesome, nightmarish truths of using nuclear weapons on a heavily populated, largely civilian city. All in cartoon, you witness people's flesh melting off like batter; bloated bodies floating in a waterway, bursting; Gen helping to care for an artist who has barely survived, which involves replacing his bandages and cleaning his maggot infested wounds.
This book shows you some fucked up stuff. Reading it at that age goes a long way to molding your opinion of nuclear weapons and exposes the idiocy of trying to justify their use under any circumstances or in any context.

هذه المرة القصة ليست عن أبطال خارقين ولا عن شخصيات نصفها بشري والآخر من مملكة الحيوان. بل هي قصة مؤثرة عن عائلة من الشعب الياباني الذي يعاني من ويلات الحرب العالمية الثانية. ولا تقتصر المعاناة على القذائف والرصاص، بل أيضاً الجوع والفاقة، تعصب المجتمع وظلم ذوي السلطة. ثم تأتي القنبلة النووية لتحرق كل شيء.
تتكون هذه السلسلة من عشرة أجزاء، من الواضح أن مبدعها قد بذل مجهوداً خرافيا في الرسومات والحوار للخروج بعمل متقن يلائم القضية الإنسانية التي يحكيها. لا أبالغ إن قلت أنني تأثرت في عدة مواضع من القصة، ولا أنكر أن هناك بعض المبالغات التي يمكن هضمها إذا أخذنا نوعية الكتاب بعين الاعتبار.
جميل تنوع الشخصيات وتشعب المواقف، بالإضافة إلى الحديث المتزن عن طرفيّ الحرب. لأول مرة أسمع عن وجهة نظر يابانية تنتقد الجيش والحرب وتندد بعمليات الكاميكازي التي يضرب بها المثل. هناك أيضا لمحات كوميدية بالرغم من سوداوية المشهد.
قراءة لطيفة ومميزة أدين بها للصديقة باكينام التي رشحت هذا الكتاب، وهذه إحدى الأمثلة على القراءات التي لولا أصدقاء الموقع لما خطرت على بالي يوماً.

أنشودة مبكية في رثاء الضحايا، وذم الحرب، ومواساة أمهاتٍ رأين أبنائهن يحترقون أحياءً. هي قصة مصورة، لكن أحيانًا تصبح الصورة صفعة، ورسمها أمضى من ألف سلاح.. اقرأوها، إن لم يكن لأجل موضوعها، فلأجل روح كل بريءٍ سلبت حياته حربٌ لا ذنب له فيها.

It’s taken me a while since I finished the tenth and final volume of the Barefoot Gen series to write up a thorough review. It’s hard to say why, exactly, (the cause could simply be laziness) though I suspect the power of the subject matter has as much to do with it as anything else. Keiji Nakazawa, Gen’s author, was a 7 year old child living in Hiroshima when the first atomic weapon obliterated the city and nearly everyone in it. Barefoot Gen is his retelling of his own harrowing experiences living through atomic hell and its aftermath.
This towering work, which took Nakazawa about 20 years to complete, has been called the Manga Maus, and in fact, this edition comes with a forward/testimonial written by Art Spiegelman himself. There are, however, a few key differences between the two. While both are autobiographical, Spiegelman pivots his narrative around his relationship to his father the Holocaust survivor. His work is literally as retold to him. Gen, on the other hand, is a lightly-fictionalized tale that puts us (with young Gen Nakaoka) directly behind the eyes of an A-bomb survivor in Japan from 1945 through 1953. Where Spiegelman relieves tension by releasing readers into the present day and uses visual metaphor (dogs, cats, mice) as a distancing technique, Nakazawa delivers an unrelenting, first person narrative in more or less realistic fashion.
And (save for a 91-page digressive short story about baseball fandom at the start of Volume 8, which is a bit of a head-scratcher), it is unrelenting. I can’t count how many times in reading this 2000+ page opus I found myself blurting, “But wait, it gets EVEN WORSE,” as every social and biological consequence of militarism and nuclear fallout one could possibly imagine inexorably paid out. You want fascist oppression? Ritual suicide? Done. Heat shockwave melting the skin off those exposed? Right there. Watch helplessly as family members are crushed and burned to death in collapsed buildings and torched ruins. Suffer through the drownings of burn victims, maggot infestations at the height of summer, social ostracism, street beatings, revenge killings, malnutrition, starvation, descent into anarchy, gang violence, alcoholism and drug abuse, opportunistic politicians, inner organ fatigue, hemorrhaging, leukemia and other forms of cancer, espionage and predatory bureaucracy, loved ones dying mysteriously like clockwork all around you… oh, yes, and sometimes people lose their hair.
What’s so remarkable about all this is how sanguinely the horror is packaged. Nakazawa’s refusal or incapacity to photorealistically portray keloid scarring, broken and ruptured limbs, human and animal waste, and similarly squeamish-shrinking content may undercut some of its visual power and coherence, but it does make this unbelievable story more palatable. As grounded as this series is in historic reality, it would be tragic to turn readers away or allow them to dismiss the material as fantasy. It is perhaps foremost the eyewitness credibility of the content that lends it such importance. On top of that, young Gen Nakaoka is an overwhelmingly positive protagonist. His steadfast refusal never to give up, his consistent moral honesty, and his trickster-like resilience in a mad, mad world motivate perseverance in readers as much as in his fictional friends and family.
In this way, Nakazawa also appears to be targeting a younger audience than Spiegelman. In fact, his dialogue can lack sophistication, even be on-the-nose or preachy. Take the following example from page 100 of the first volume:
”Dear, I guess we have no choice but to cooperate with the war effort, no matter how wrong we think it is. }Sob…{ I can’t stand it anymore! Being bullied like this and called a traitor…”That reads to me a bit like classic dubbed chopsocky deadpan: “You and your clan of thieving warlords will now pay for the death of my brother. I will not rest until I have tasted my revenge.”
“It’s despicable… the way the authorities use their power to force people to go to war! They’re deceiving everyone, turning people into human bullets…”
Another typical selection appears at p. 130:
”Mr. Kishi, please don’t be too hard on the boys. They aren’t getting enough to eat.”Now where is that Darth Vader sound effect when you need it?
“You musn’t indulge them, Miss Osato. No matter how tough it is on them, we’ve got to raise them to be strong children for the Empire.”
Yet if this is a work written at something of a fourth-grade reading level, it is no less gripping or significant. In fact, I was moved to let my fourth-grade daughter read it on the strength of one of the prefaces, which mentioned that the series is introduced to Japanese schoolchildren at that age. (She devoured it, loved it, and was willing to talk about it with me.) Moreover, reading this work allowed me to understand more immediately the impact of historic events I had otherwise taken for granted. For example, the onset of the Korean War takes on a chilling aspect in the context of exposed Japanese civilians less than 5 years after the devastation of Hiroshima/Nagasaki/Tokyo. Nakazawa conveys this information through the chain link of a US military installation, thereby shrewdly juxtaposing power and powerlessness.
This series is a great read, a must read. It is a terrifying, towering contribution to literature that stands as a warning to humanity of the consequences of aggression, the excesses of brutality, and the painful hubris born of arrogance, ignorance, and intolerance. I have read it. My daughter has read it. My son

This is a heartbreaking read. The story is about a family in Hiroshima at the time the nuclear bomb was dropped. This particular volume focuses on the family's circumstances before the bomb dropped. The author highlights the insanity that happens when people are duped into a war frenzy by its leaders. At the very end of the book, the bomb drops and the horrors of the bomb are revealed. This is brutal, so make sure that you are mentally prepared for it before reading it.

كيجي ناكازاو رسام المانجا يحكي قصته وقصة الآلاف غيره فحينما كان في السادسة من عمره ألقيت فوق رؤوسهم أول قنبلة ذرية في تاريخ 6 أغسطس 1945 والتي أفقدته عائلته بإكملها وقد أثرت به لدرجة أن كتب عن أثارها النفسية حتى توفي في عام 2012.
ويعد هذا المانجا الأولى من أصل عشرة أجزاء.

لم اتخيل ان الكوميكس ممكن تصف حدث مثل إلقاء القنبلة الذرية علي هيروشيما.. في قصة وروسومات وترجمة في منتهي العبقرية أن تكون بتلك الروعة
نجد الجزء الاول من السلسلة التي تصف حالة اليابان قبل الحرب من مجاعة وقهر وتخوين لاي رأي ضد الحرب وينتهي الجزء بالقاء القنبلة
في انتظار شراء الجزء الثاني لمعرفة مصير الطفل جن

Tears .
After finishing the manga that's all I have.
Real life story of the Atomic Bomb survivor. My words can't describe the pain amd the horror that this manga carries and the bravery young Keiji showed at the time of absolute death , his family members dying infront of his eyes and complete decimation of Hiroshima. Both the book and the movie are true saga of human cruelty and at the same time incredible bravery.
After finishing the manga that's all I have.
Real life story of the Atomic Bomb survivor. My words can't describe the pain amd the horror that this manga carries and the bravery young Keiji showed at the time of absolute death , his family members dying infront of his eyes and complete decimation of Hiroshima. Both the book and the movie are true saga of human cruelty and at the same time incredible bravery.

واضح جدًا محاولة الكاتب تخفيف وقع الأحداث و تخفيف الجو العام للرواية.
بس مع كل هذا التخفيف دي من اكثر الأعمال المؤلمة اللي قرأتها حتي الآن
المفروض نقول ايه بعد ما نقرأ عمل زي ده؟
العمل بينتقد الحرب بكل اشكالها و بيعرض الحياة الحقيقية للشعوب اللي بتحارب في وقت ما الجنود بتذوق ويلات الحروب علي الجبهات
الشعب نفسه بيذوق ويلات الفقر و المجاعة داخل بلده.
فيه تسليط ضوء مهم علي استغلال وطنية الشعوب من أجل الحرب و كره و نبذ كل من لا يوافق علي الحرب ولا يساندها.

لم أكن متأكدًا من قبل من مدي قوة مانغا جن الحافي و كنت متشكك جدًا في الأمر و لكن تستطيع أن تشعر بمدي أهمية الرؤية و الحياة التي تعرض أمامك من أول 50 صفحة
سأكمل باقي الأجزاء في المرحلة القادمة من أول هذه السنة الجديدة

لا أحد يعرف من أين بدأت لأن كل دولة صنعت نسختها الخاصة منها بلغتها الخاصة، دوما ما ظننت أن السبب الذي يجعلها آسرة لهذا الحد كونها أغنية تتحدث عن الحب خلال الحرب

I am seriously becoming a fierce fan of Graphic Novels lately. This one was recommended by a generous GoodReads friend Pooja, and I will be ever so grateful to her for this. This is my introduction to the world of Japanese Manga and boy, am I blown away!
Keiji Nakazawa is a survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in Aug'45. Barefoot Gen is his alter ego. He says he imagined his alter ego standing atop a roof, barefoot, raising his voice loud and clear, over and against the destruction his dear city of 4, 00, 000 residents was subjected to.
The characters in Barefoot Gen have been inspired by the lives of the people in the life of Nakazawa and the ones around him.
Graphic novels bear this eerie ability to assist your imagination exactly to that level, where it sets in motion its own series. Nothing more (unlike movies) and nothing less either. Just the exact right amount.
The last 40 pages (and a few of them in between) had me literally howling. I clenched my fists and stretched my fingers and toes, as if it was here, in front of me, right now. I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of effort Nakazawa must have put in re-imagining the whole thing for us. My heart goes out to him and the lakhs of citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who had to suffer because a few people sitting at the top of a decision machinery could not decide whether to surrender or keep fighting. The war did end, but the lives impacted did not get their fair chance at survival.
I highly recommend this one, just as I recommend The Maus, both stories of a holocaust so horrible, that we can never afford to forget. NEVER.

العدد الأول من سلسلة المانجا جن الحافي
العدد الأول عن أحداث ما قبل قنبلة هيروشيما مرورا بإلقاء القنبلة ولحظة الصدمة الاولي
تدور احداث القصة عن عائلة جن اليابانية ومعاناتهم الشديدة بسبب الحرب واستغلال السلطات اليابانية للشعب أسوأ استغلال فالشعب كلة تقريبا كان يعمل كالعبيد ليل نهار لخدمة الجيش وامدادة بالموارد لأستكمال الحرب املا في النصر الذي سيجلب لهم الرخاء المنتظر
حتي الكاميكاز يوضح الكاتب انهم كانوا مجبرين علي الانتحار بتفجير نفسهم في الأهداف والطائرات والسفن علي غير رغبتهم
وبالرغم من الحياة المأساوية قبل القاء القنبلة الا ان الصفحات الاخيرة بعد القائها كانت طبعا اكثر قساوة بمراحل
ومن سياق الاحداث واضح ان اليابان لم يكن لة امل في الانتصار في الحرب وبرغم ذلك اصر بمنتهي الغباء علي استكمال الحرب حتي طبعا انتهت بالقنابل النووية

Pretty brutal at times, yet also very funny and touching at other times, this is the story of a Japanese family of seven, the Nakaokas, struggling to survive during the war in the months leading to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima excellently told in Manga format.
It doesn't shy away from Japan's own guilt: there's allusions to their war crimes in Korea and China, there's showing the brainwashing and manipulation of the population, how uselessly the military high command wasted young lives in kamikaze attacks, the influence of the dictatorial government in daily life, the insane resistance against superior enemy forces, and the mistreatment of the rare civilians who, like Gen's father, are anti-war on grounds of morality as well as realising it's all a waste and national suicide. And, at the same time, it also shows the heroism and sacrifices of the Japanese people, their willingness to endure hardships unimaginable to most other countries, their iron determination to keep on living even if with a fistful of rice per week, the lengths they go to protect their families even if it means compromising principles in exchange for survival, and how the little ones are still able to retain their innocence and joy for life. There's good and there's bad, there's cowardly and there's heroic. A complete spectrum of how the population at the time must've been like.
The mangaka, Keiji Nakazawa, has a style that's a bit more cartoonish than other Manga I've seen, and he doesn't pull any punches when he was to depict disagreeable or gory situations. From the moment Fat Boy is dropped on Hiroshima, the drawing becomes horrific in its raw depiction of the destruction and of people dying, so some people might feel very affected. Others might also feel put off by the constant use of physical punishment on the part of practically all characters, and it does become somewhat exaggerated at times, but I'd say you've got to keep in mind the context and how brutalised these characters are. It's not an easy story, but definitely worth reading.

Life in Hiroshima in the weeks leading up to the atomic bomb is depicted by cartoonist, Keiji Nakazawa. He created the 6 year old Gen as his alter ego to show the experience. The book climaxes with the bomb where Gen’s family experience follows that of the Nakazawa family as the author writes in his forwarding note.
The portrait shows a hard life in cruel situation. Hunger is the dominant theme. There is great conformity as people parrot their support for the emperor and the honor of dying for him. As an objector to the war, Gen’s father is branded a traitor and life for the family is even more miserable.
There are scenes depicting the trials of everyday life, the attempt to fish, grow wheat, catch locusts, rid oneself of lice and make and sell clogs. At school, love for the emperor is taught.
Nalazawa shows how life was no better outside of Hiroshima, in the countryside or in the military itself. The portrait of the indoctrination of the kamikaze pilots is chilling.
This is a powerful book.

–في مقدمة ذلك الجزء من سلسلة مانجا جن الحافي المكونه من 10 أجزاء وترجمة دار المحروسه منها 7 أجزاء، في مقدمة هذا الجزء يكتب "ناكازاور" إن تحويل قصة عن القنبلة الذرية إلى مانجا عمل مجهد وصعب جداً، لكن من وجهه نظره فأنه بالنسبه للقارئ فإن الصورة هي الطريقة المباشرة و السهلة لاستيعاب الحقائق.
في هذا الجزء ستعيش ويلات الحرب وويلات القنبلة الذرية هيروشيما ، ستشعر أنك جزء منها بطل من أبطالها تعيش الأحداث معهم وتعاني من معانتهم ومعاناة الحرب والجوع والألم والموت.
تحكي لنا السلسه قصة طفل يدعي "جن" وأسرته أثناء الحرب العالميه الثانيه قبل إلقاء القنبلة وبعد ألقائها.

قصة زي دي مش محتاجة أسلوب رسم مبهر خاصة أن ده مش أسلوبي المفضل إطلاقا في المانجا ولا طريقة حكي جذابة وخصوصا أن طريقة الحكي هنا أقرب إلى التعليق الوثائقي نوعا ما، كفاية الوقائع اللي هي بتعبر عنها وهي فترة حرب اليابان على كوريا والصين وبعدين الحرب العالمية ومشاركة اليابان فيها وبعدين هجوم أمريكا بالقنبلتين على اليابان وما نتج عنه. دي سلسلة مانجا قديمة من 10 أجزاء وتمت ترجمتهم كلهم، بدايتها بتكون مع الحرب
وإلقاء أمريكا للقنبلة النووية على هيروشيما، وبنتتبع أسرة في هيروشيما، الوالد فيها رافض الحرب وشايفها عبثية، وبنشوف آثار ده عليه وعلى أولاده في مجتمعه من إهانة ووسم بالخيانة والجبن وتخبط الأولاد ما بين مؤيد لأفكار أبوه وما بين خاضع للمجتمع عشان خايف من النبذ اللي هيحصله لو رفض الحرب وطبعا بيظهر فيها مظهر تقديس الإمبراطور.
ممكن الترجمة متكونش بالسلاسة اللي كنت أتمناها، بس القصة زي ما قلت تغني عن أي حاجة، وهتخليكم تتأثروا بيها بشكل مفجع، لو حبيتوا رواية باشينكو للكورية مين جين لي، فالأحداث هنا بتفكرني بيها جدا، وطبعا أي أنمي عملته اليابان عن الحرب والقنبلتين، هيديكم نفس المشاعر.

ظهور الصغير جِنْ هي الجزء الأول من المانجا الشهيره "جِنْ الحافي"
و كذلك هي بدايتي مع قراءة المانجا .
ما جذبني و شجعني على قراءتها موضوع الكتاب المهم جداً و الذي يجب أن نعرفه بتفصيل و نقرأ عنه .
تحكي هذه المانجا عن ما قبل سقوط القنبلة النوويه على هيروشيما و أثناء سقوطها و بعدها .
و هذا الجزء تحديداً يحكي لنا عن حياة أسرة (ناكاؤا) التي كانت تُدعى في الحي بالخائنه لرفضهم لإقامة الحروب .
في هذا الجزء ستكون الأحداث قبل سقوط القنبله،
نهاية الجزء سقوط القنبله .
كتجربه أولى في عالم المانجا كانت تجربه ممتعه جداً و لطيفه ، و أنا سعيده جداً بهذه التجربه و بالتأكيد أنني سأقتني جميع أجزاء السلسله و أُكملها فلقد أحببتها جداً .
متشوقه جداً لقراءة الجزء الثاني و حتماً أنصح بها جداً .
الترجمه جيده لكن فيها بعض الأخطاء الإملائيه المزعجه .

رؤية حقيقية ومؤلمة للوجه الحقيقي للحرب، وللحياة في زمن الحرب في حكاية جن الحافي وعائلته التي يعيش معها في ضواحي مدينة هيروشيما اليابانية في عام ١٩٤٥ وفي وقت إلقاء القنبلة الذرية على مدينة هيروشيما من خلال عيون أحد الناجين.
الوجه المخادع واللا إنساني الذي لا يرحم حتى بكاء طفل من أجل طبق أرز أو ثمرة بطاطا نيئة...
حكاية جن وشنچي وجميعهم، حكاية عصية على النسيان، مرسومة بقلم يعبر على حواف الألم الحادة بقسوة لها لون الطفولة المهدورة، وجرح الأحلام المتخلى عنها، وصوت ضحكات وأغنيات الصغار الحلوة في أفق سماء زرقاء صافية صباح يوم المدرسة تبخرت مع غبار القنبلة النووية في الأفق وسيظل صداها يتردد إلى الأبد بألف سؤال وسؤال عن طفولتهم وأصدقائهم وطريق مدرستهم وأحلامهم وضحكاتهم وأغنياتهم، وعن حرب لعبها الكبار من أجل مطامعهم وسلبت الصغار ألعاب طفولتهم البريئة.
إلى الأبد صوتهم سيظل يتردد صداه،
لماذا الحرب؟...
الإنسانية مدينة باعتذار لجن ولشنچي ولجميعهم هناك ولمن مثلهم في كل مكان على هذه الأرض.
أكره الحرب، وأكره ما تفعله.

الوجه المخادع واللا إنساني الذي لا يرحم حتى بكاء طفل من أجل طبق أرز أو ثمرة بطاطا نيئة...
حكاية جن وشنچي وجميعهم، حكاية عصية على النسيان، مرسومة بقلم يعبر على حواف الألم الحادة بقسوة لها لون الطفولة المهدورة، وجرح الأحلام المتخلى عنها، وصوت ضحكات وأغنيات الصغار الحلوة في أفق سماء زرقاء صافية صباح يوم المدرسة تبخرت مع غبار القنبلة النووية في الأفق وسيظل صداها يتردد إلى الأبد بألف سؤال وسؤال عن طفولتهم وأصدقائهم وطريق مدرستهم وأحلامهم وضحكاتهم وأغنياتهم، وعن حرب لعبها الكبار من أجل مطامعهم وسلبت الصغار ألعاب طفولتهم البريئة.
إلى الأبد صوتهم سيظل يتردد صداه،
لماذا الحرب؟...
الإنسانية مدينة باعتذار لجن ولشنچي ولجميعهم هناك ولمن مثلهم في كل مكان على هذه الأرض.
أكره الحرب، وأكره ما تفعله.

An incredibly powerful and timeless anti-war story brimming with human perseverance and optimism and physical slapstick comedy so bad it could only come from a comic targeted at little boys. Gen and his friends gleefully pee on someone at least once per volume.
