Royal Knight made her debut on the 12th season of “The Masked Singer” on Nov. 13, 2024, as a member of Group C. The armored crooner’s first song on Fox‘s reality TV show was “You and I” by Lady Gaga, and she had the four panelists (Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora) guessing such famous names as Ashley Tisdale, Lily James, and Hayden Panettiere.
But who is Royal Knight? If you’re looking for “The Masked Singer” spoilers and clues, you’ve come to the right place! Read on for everything to know about Royal Knight, including which famous celebrity WE think is hiding underneath this spectacu-steel costume.
Gold Derby’s official guess for Royal Knight is … Hayden Panettiere! Don’t believe us? Let’s examine all of the clues, one by one:
Masked Ambassador Clues
Royal Knight’s ambassador is Savannah Chrisley, aka Afghan Hound from Season 11, who states, “It’s no secret that my life has been pretty rough lately, but I am here to introduce to you the toughest woman I know, Royal Knight … You are one of the fiercest friends that I have, and I think that tonight for your performance, you’re gonna slay.” In 2021, E! News reported that Chrisley was one of Panettiere’s famous friends that commented on the star’s return to Instagram.
Audio Clues
Here is what Royal Knight has to say about herself: “Thanks, sis. I’ll take it from here. Chapter one: As a young girl I thought I’d have that fairytale life. So, I went on a quest for it, but it turns out mine was no fantasy. There was heartbreak and terror behind every corner and I quickly had to learn to protect myself with layers of armor, until I became the warrior I am today. I had to break free of the idea of a ‘you and I’ and learn how to be, well, me. Now, I don’t care about castles or kings, as long as I’m giving ‘main character energy.'” Panettiere’s public struggles have included the loss of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere, in 2023, alcoholism, and postpartum depression. The “Nashville” star also spoke publicly about her “horrible breakups.” Her reference to “main character energy” could be a hint at her starring roles in “Nashville,” “Heroes,” and a slew of other films and TV shows.
Visual Clues
On-screen hints during Royal Knight’s video package include the following: story books, a glass slipper, a red fire-breathing dragon, a TV remote, a gold megaphone that says “The T,” green trees, and a bunch of butterflies. The versatile performer sang “I Still Believe,” the closing theme for Disney’s “Cinderella III: A Twist in Time.” That explains the fairytale clues and glass slipper. The TV remote hints at her multiple starring roles on the small screen, including “Heroes,” where she played a cheerleader — which explains that megaphone. She also starred in the cheerleading movie “Bring It On: All or Nothing” with Solange Knowles-Smith. The dragon may reference her participation in the “Kingdom Hearts” video game, and she did post a pic of her “bad ass dragon ring” from John Hardy on X.
In-Person Clues
Following her performance of “You and I,” the Men in Black bring out a hoodie that says, “Ready to Sleigh” on it. Royal Knight responds, “No matter the season, I’m always ready to ‘sleigh’ the competition.” Panettiere starred in the 1999 Christmas movie “If You Believe.”
The ultimate Golden Mask recipient for “The Masked Singer” Season 12 will join the following list of winners: T-Pain as Monster (Season 1), Wayne Brady as Fox (Season 2), Kandi Burruss as Night Angel (Season 3), LeAnn Rimes as Sun (Season 4), Nick Lachey as Piglet (Season 5), Jewel as Queen of Hearts (Season 6), Teyana Taylor as Firefly (Season 7), Amber Riley as Harp (Season 8), Bishop Briggs as Medusa (Season 9), Ne-Yo as Cow (Season 10), and Vanessa Hudgens as Goldfish (Season 11).
