‘The Masked Singer’ spoiler: The Skeleton is …

Episode 4 of “The Masked Singer” saw the return of  three celebrities from week one — Butterfly, Skeleton and Thingamajig — who again climbed into their elaborate costumes and took to the stage to perform a hit song. On the premiere episode, each had earned enough votes after they sang to stay in the competition.

While the Butterfly and Thingamajig won over the audience, Skeleton was forced into a sing-off with the Egg. The latter lost out with the judges (Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke) and was revealed to be Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir. We’ve been doing some digging about the identities of all of the remaining contestants. Keep reading for “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the real name of the Skeleton.

We are think that the Skeleton is comedian Dana Carvey. Remember, the Skeleton admitted in week one that he chose his costume because he has no fear of death. Carvey, who is now 64, was in his early 40s when he had to have emergency heart surgery. That health scare forced him to put his career on hold for a long time.

The Skeleton characterizes himself as someone who has been around the block a few times in life; Carvey came to fame when he joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” way back in 1986. The Skeleton says that he’s grown tired of playing second fiddle and is ready to take his turn in the spotlight. In recent years, Carvey has toured as a stand-up and headlined several critically acclaimed Netflix specials.

The Skeleton finishes things off with the catchphrase “Party on dudes!” Carvey had once played second fiddle to Mike Myers in the “Wayne’s World” movies. As Wayne, Myers would urge Carvey’s character, Garth, to “party on.”

In week one, Skeleton did himself proud with his rip-roaringly funny rendition of “Rapper’s Delight” by the Sugar Hill Gang. After he lost the audience vote to Thingamajig, Skeleton then had to do battle with the Egg. He redeemed himself with his soulful cover of “Hard to Handle” by The Black Crowes.

  1. No way! It’s Alex Winter. Quote is from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. They’re doing a new movie, so it is perfect timing.

  2. Glad they stopped saying how ‘soulful’ every voice they thought came from a black singer was- kinda racist if you look at it, and they were sometimes wrong!
