Fascinating place. Because Bradford used to be a major centre for wool scouring and combing the waste water carried a lot of lanolin and Esholt had a recovery plant in a most impressive stone building with filter presses. There was also a steam electricity generating plant and steam locomotives. Bradford Industrial Museum (has been geographed) has a locomotive and a lttle steam engine from the boiler stokers.
Emmerdale Farm used to be filmed in Esholt Village and the pub that doubled as the Woolpack is there.
