London Outer Orbital Path (LOOP)

Starting at the Thames at Erith and finishing on the opposite north bank at Coldharbour, the Loop (London Outer Orbital Path) is 150 miles long, passing through numerous woods, commons and parks and on waterside paths alongside the Grand Union Canal and London rivers such as the Colne, Crane, Cray, Darent and Ingrebourne.

King Charles III England Coast Path (ECP)

The King Charles III England Coast Path (ECP) will take advantage of new public rights of access to the coast, to form a 2,800 mile long public path right around England's coasts.

Parts of the path were already open in 2016, and it was intended at that time that the whole path would be completed by 2020. At that time, the path was called the England Coast Path. It was renamed King Charles III England Coast Path in 2023, in honour of the King's coronation.

More information about the ECP is on the National Trails website: LinkExternal link

National Cycle Network Route 1

National Route 1 of the National Cycle Network is a long distance cycle route connecting Dover and the Shetland Islands mainly via the east coast of England and Scotland. The route is all signed and open except between London and Woodbridge (in Suffolk) and between Whitby and Staithes (in Yorkshire).
