Looking north-east as the road ascends Bwlch Graig-fawr. Llyn Teifi is half a mile off to the right. This narrow road from Ffair Rhos is a former drovers' route. It is tarmacked as far as Llyn Egnant, then carries on northward as a stony moorland track which was used by monks over centuries (The Monk's Trod), and unsurfaced south-west towards the Claerwen Reservoir.
