The Jacob Marley served on the historic Gravesend to Tilbury ferry service until it ceased on 31 March 2024.
Gravesend - Tilbury Ferry :: TQ6474

The Gravesend - Tilbury Ferry was a passenger ferry across the River Thames east of London. It linked Gravesend and Tilbury, and was the last publicly accessible crossing point before the Thames reaches the sea. The ferry was most recently operated by Jetstream Tours and the service was subsidised by both Thurrock Council and Kent County Council. The service ceased on 31 March 2024 when the councils were unable to guarantee the continuing subsidy and efforts to secure a new contract were unsuccessful.
