Entrance to Hawkesbury Village Green, Lentons Lane
Hawkesbury has been shaped by canals, particularly the junction of the Coventry and Oxford Canals, so it is appropriate that the entrance to the village green is flanked by ornamental metalwork in the shape of canal lock gates.

The green is more of a park than a conventional village green, and lies between Lentons Lane and the Oxford Canal, which it overlooks. The green began as a children's play area rented by the Residents Association, and was known as 'the Silver', from a silver slide made by local residents for the children (information from a sign board by the green).
