Wheal Kitty
Looking from the carpark at SW72615131 over to Wheal Kitty about ½ mile NE of St Agnes.
These former tin and copper mines date from c.1830, closed temporarily in 1842, but reopened c.1853 finally closing for good in 1930.
Many of the buildings here have now been repurposed as the Wheal Kitty Workshops housing a number of businesses and the HQ of Surfers against Sewage.
However the main engine house seen ahead (Sara's Shaft) currently has a "Dangerous Structure - Do Not Access" sign attached to it unfortunately.

St Agnes Mining Heritage
The small town of St Agnes is surrounded on all sides by the remnants of tin and copper mining activity, mostly from the C19th and early C20th.
It falls within the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site
