Dornoch Cathedral (interior east)
Dornoch Cathedral was originally a Roman Catholic cathedral, but it now serves as a Church of Scotland parish church. The cathedral was dedicated to its founder St Gilbert, and was built in 1224 in the reign of King Alexander II. It was burnt down during local feuding in 1570. Full renovations were not carried out until 1835–37.

The Cathedral is a Category A listed building (Historic Environment Scotland LB24632 LinkExternal link ).

The ornamental drinking fountain in front of the church is Victorian and is Category B listed.
