Mudeford Spit
The spit is a tongue of sand jutting northwards from Hengistbury Head to the mouth of Christchurch Harbour. It is very popular with tourists and also has a large colony of back-to-back beach huts which face the muddy harbourside or the sea with its sandy beach.
