Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Marholm
The Church of St. Mary The Virgin is picturesquely located amongst fields and trees just south of Marholm village (pronounced locally as "Marram" with a short "a"). The tower dates from the late 12th. century while the nave was constructed in the 13th. century. The chancel was rebuilt in 1534 by Sir William Fitzwilliam, the Sheriff of Northamptonshire and owner of the Milton Park Estate. The church houses several monuments to the Fitzwilliam family. The octagonal font is believed to date from the 17th. century.
