The old school, Mathern
The old school, Mathern
A nineteenth century school building in the heart of the village, it was built around 1865 as a Diocesan provision. It is thought to have been designed by the Llandaff architects, John Prichard and John Pollard Seddon. A benchmark was made on the facing wall - see ST5291 : Benchmark on the old school. Now a day nursery, it is Grade II listed.
