The bronze statue, named Bobby, is at the top of the ramp leading down to the ferry to take passengers onward to Rothesay. It depicts a small boy carrying a toy boat in his left arm and about to go on his holidays.

The sculpture, which was unveiled in 2017, was created by Angela Hunter who also made the statue of the girl with a suitcase (NS2477 : Girl on a Suitcase, Kempock Street, Gourock, Inverclyde - 2) at the Pierhead in Gourock several years ago, which was dubbed Wee Annie Kempock. Bobby at Wemyss Bay is considered to be a brother for Wee Annie.
