Broadwaters Mill, Kidderminster
Broadwaters Mill, Kidderminster
There was a mill here since at least the 13th century. The first recorded mill was a fulling mill from before 1240 until 1746. It then became a corn mill. In 1753 John Homfray converted it into an iron forge. From 1850 until 1890 it was again a corn mill and was finally used as a Laundry. Kidderminster Council demolished the mill in 1937 leaving this part as a shelter and with the wheel races to the right. One now contains a turning water wheel.
