NZ1223 : Sunshine from the Folly

taken 3 years ago, near to Burnt Houses, County Durham, England

Sunshine from the Folly
Sunshine from the Folly
There is a band of woodland south of Burnt Houses Lane at the northern edge of the Raby Castle parkland, with lots of paths. Carefully avoiding ones that say "no public access", there are still various ways to wander off the public footpath, and one of these brings one to "The Folly". Looking south from this towards the Castle, this track (which I didn't pursue) provides a view through the woodland with the remnants of radiation fog just burning off, caught by the low winter sun.
