NT1290 : Kingseat Community Garden
taken 3 years ago, near to Kingseat, Fife, Scotland
Previously an area of rough heath this little gem of a community garden has been established by a dedicated group of residents and has become a charming addition to the Fife village of Kingseat. Hidden away from prying eyes just off the cul-de-sac of Frew Place it contains displays of flowers and several quirky exhibits of fairy-tale creatures as well as bird feeders and a bug hotel. Scattered throughout the garden are bench seats where visitors may rest a while. There is even a chimney which was rescued from the local post office when it was demolished. There are a couple of paths leaving the garden which will take visitors further on into the adjoining countryside. Kingseat Community Garden has plans to expand and further involve the local community.
