Poppies in a field, Droppingwells Farm, near Bewdley, Worcs
This field having recently been ploughed has now produced a vast number of red poppies. It seems that the disturbance of soil containing old seed banks can cause the poppies to grow. The farm is now owned by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and is to be made into a heathland nature reserve. Although there are no public rights of way near this field, the Trust are allowing the public to view the poppies. Off-limit areas are clearly marked.
