The blue fencing on the right is associated with the big block that is Aconbury East. The top two floors have been refurbished and the shell completely reclad and work is now turning to converting the lower floors into a new emergency department. On the left is the essential users car park and a large new gas pipe has been laid under its length. The trench can be seen. On the extreme left is the edge of the old boiler house that is to be largely demolished to make way for an helipad. The chimney in the left background is on the PFI hospital from the early 21st century. The foreground buildings are 1970s vintage.
