Barn and SCC fingerpost near Leigh Wood railway crossing
Old style Somerset County Council fingerpost stands at the 'T' junction with Leigh Gate Lane and two un-named lanes; one leading to Lower Vexford and the other heading towards Stogumber. The post and barn are not far from Leigh Wood railway crossing and Home Leigh House bed and breakfast.
The lower arm on the fingerpost was snapped off many years ago, according to StreetView images. It is hoped that the parish council can fund a replacement in due course. Since 2018, the fingerposts in Crowcombe parish have been refurbished by volunteers working in conjunction with Somerset County Council, as part of their fingerpost restoration project (SCC provided the training, work specifications etc) and Crowcombe parish council, which funded the supply of all paints and materials.
