National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port - steam launch engine
This is an inverted vertical duplex open crank launch engine built in 1882 by G E Belliss of Birmingham. The cylinders are c3" x 5". This powered the Alexandra, an inspection launch on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The hull of this vessel is owned by the Museum and was to undergo restoration. Its current status is not known to me.
