Stored benches, Rawdon Crematorium
These were not new benches; possibly they were old memorial benches that are due to be recycled. The Council policy is that relatives can buy a bench (current price £1,180) and it will be kept for 20 years.
Rawdon Crematorium

According to Historic England, Rawdon Crematorium, also known as Airedale and Wharfedale Crematorium, was built in 1959 for the Pudsey, Aireborough, Horsforth, Ilkley and Otley Joint Committee. The architect of the buildings was F L Charlton.

The Aireborough Historical Society offers the following additional background, slightly redacted: the crematorium occupies the grounds of the former Knottfield House (1846-1954), home of John Dawson of Kirkstall Brewery, later the Mitchell Memorial Home after WW1 for ex-servicemen suffering from Tuberculosis and later still a boys' home.
