The advertising column/pigeon perch urges people to do their bit to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Despite lockdown and the rain people are still out and about as shops that sell food remain open.

In the background is the former Woolworths building on the corner of Piccadilly and Oldham Street. After Woolworths burnt down in 1979 it became Nobles Amusements SJ8498 : Nobles Amusements until 2012. It is now a Travelodge also housing branches of Morrisons and Nandos. In September 2020 it became the second Morrisions store to be transformed into the new Market Kitchen format which is part grocery and part takeaway.
