The nursery is run by People in Action, a Nuneaton-based charity supporting people with learning disabilities. A wide range of plants are grown for sale to the public. The work is done by paid staff and volunteers with the involvement of 'trainees', the disabled people themselves, according to their abilities. During the Covid-19 lockdown the nursery was closed to the public and the trainees. It successfully re-opened with a one-way system and hand sanitiser in place. Trainees have returned in limited numbers. The nursery was formerly a part of Coventry City Council's Parks Department.
