Geograph - photograph every grid square

Formerly the end of Hurn Court Lane coming out onto Parley Lane opposite the airport, this stretch of tarmac is slowly becoming reclaimed by nature. Pictures on Google Street View show the junction newly closed, with new verge but with double-yellow lines disappearing under it, in November 2008. Further Street View pictures illustrate the gradual dilapidation of the old road.

The road does still come out on Parley Lane - it was re-routed a few yards to the east, to form a crossroads with the main airport entrance when traffic lights were installed.

Just clinging on to life, visible to the keen eyed viewer, is the 6'6" width limit sign in the extreme top-left of the photo, along with its supplementary sign saying 'except for access'.
