The grade II listed building
Link on the corner of Market Place and St Petersgate was built for the Bank of Stockport to designs of T. A. Allen in 1868. It was taken over by the Manchester County Bank in 1871, which was subsequently taken over by the National Westminster Bank.
In 2013 it was the nightclub, Bambooza
SJ8990 : The Bambooza. In 2014 the ground floor and basement were let to local pub operator Yacoub Naber who re-opened it as a sports bar and live music venue called Bank Chambers Live. By 2017 it was closed again
SJ8990 : Bank Chambers and Bulls Head. It is now open as Profolk

The Grade II listed
Link Bulls Head next door at 13 Market Place dates from the 1730s. The present building was built in the early 19th century, pre-dating the 1861 Market Hall. Owned by Robinsons and one of the closest pubs to their brewery it was closed in 2016 for refurbishment but was then mothballed. It is planned to re-open in summer 2020.
