There's the logo so it must be real – McDonald's at Tesco, Warwick
Vehicle access is as for Tesco. Parking for McDonald's is to the left of the building, reached via the north side of Tesco's car park. There is access to a Drive-thru at the rear; orders are served from the right hand side of the building. Tesco's Click and Collect facility at the back is reached by the slightly rerouted road adjacent to the pillars, right.
The rationale for the restaurant isn't obvious: not all Tesco customers have the time or the appetite for a Big Mac. There is no signage on the Emscote Road; perhaps it will come. Maybe Tesco leases the site to McDonald's to boost revenue.
The elephant and castle is the original name for this pub and goes back at least as far as 1880 when it was a humble beerhouse. The name of Simple Simon was coined in the 1970s and was linked to the Shires pie factory that was close by. The Elephant and Castle most likely refers to the coat of arms of the City of Coventry
