Aircraft anti-icing at Glasgow Airport
Aircraft anti-icing at Glasgow Airport
Anti-icing fluid being applied to Jet2 Holidays Boeing 737 aircraft with registration number G-JZHU at Gate 36 prior to departure to Krakow.

Anti-icing fluid is applied to critical parts of the airframe to prevent ice formation before the aircraft gets fully airborne.

In this case, the fluid is coloured green to make it more visible to the person applying it, to help them ensure that all critical surfaces are covered.
