Statfold Barn Railway - garden railway
This is where the whole Statfold Barn extravaganza started - with the garden railway. This is linked to the much longer field railway but only the smaller locomotives operate in the garden. This is one of the regular performers and is Roger - a Kerr Stuart 'Wren' 0-4-0ST built in 1918 as works No. 3128. It is seen in the livery of the Imperial Smelting Company of Avonmouth.
I was visiting with a friend and we called in briefly to the garden railway, had a ride and then left to explore the rest of the site. I only took this one view and was intending fully to return later to photograph the train across the lake but time got the better of us. Roger was one of 15 narrow gauge locomotives in steam on this enthusiasts' day.
