On the right is the 13-storey office block known as "One St Peter's Square" SJ8397 : One St Peter's Square built on the site of the former Elisabeth House SJ8397 : Elisabeth House, St Peter's Square, Manchester which was demolished in 2012.

On the left is "Two St Peter's Square" SJ8397 : St Peter's Square which has replaced Century House SJ8497 : "Century House" 11 St Peter's Square, Manchester M2 3DN whose address was 11 St Peter's Square. Century House was built in 1934 for the Friend's Provident Society. Link Funded by Deutsche Asset Management, the new building described as: "Two St. Peter's Square is part of the new vision for the Square. It offers 5,203 sq ft of retail space and 161,065 sq ft of high quality, BREEAM 'Excellent' Grade A office space across 12 floors."

Between them is the new statue of Emmeline Pankhurst SJ8397 : Rise up, women which was unveiled on Friday, 14th December 2018.

In the background work is now in progress for "Three St Peter's Square". The 1960s eight storey office block Peterloo House SJ8497 : Peterloo House, Dickinson Street, Manchester has been demolished by Russells Construction Link (Archive Link ) to make way for a new 20-storey hotel building. Motel One will occupy the first eight floors with 328 hotel rooms. Staycity Aparthotels is taking floors 9 to 20, providing 256 studios and one-bedroom units under its premium "Wilde Aparthotels" brand. Building is scheduled for completion in 2022.
