taken 17 years ago, near to Wigglesworth, North Yorkshire, England

Ribble Way approaching Hollow Gill
Ribble Way approaching Hollow Gill
The way crossing a series of fields in the wide Mid Ribble Valley, edging nearer the little gorge of Hollow Gill, which becomes more apparent the closer one approaches.
Ribble Way

A 70 mile long distance footpath tracing the River Ribble from the Irish Sea at Longton to its ultimate source on Gavel Gap in the Yorkshire Dales.
It passes through Preston, Ribchester, Clitheroe, Sawley, Gisburn, Settle, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Ribblehead - from where it follows tributary branches to a spring at 1,850 ft above sea level.
