This Wolseley Series I New Fourteen car from 1935 was on display at the annual Maxey Classic Car and Bike Show in August 2018. According to its owner, this particular example was used to tow a small fire tender at Southampton docks during the Second World War.
A total of 5,790 Series I New Fourteen cars were manufactured by Wolseley Motors between July 1935 and June 1936. The model was equipped with a 1,604cc engine and was capable of a top speed of 65 miles per hour. Average fuel consumption was calculated at 27 miles per gallon.
