SH6214 : South shore of Mawddach - Barmouth, Gwynedd

South shore of Mawddach - Barmouth, Gwynedd
In this view of the south shore of the Mawddach estuary, beyond the area of flat land sits Fegla Fawr and much further beyond can be seen, just visible, the Cadair Idris/Cader Idris range, the lying snow marking it out. From Morfa Mawddach Station, the Mawddach Trail turns north-east on its way to Dolgellau. I had just a day in Barmouth and with a little planning could have a week and more based there and found plenty to do. Time taken 1.18 pm BST (British Summer Time).
